Frost Giants

When Odin saw the Spaceship appear behind them, delight immediately welled up in his heart.

Two days earlier, after learning that the enemy was coming, he had sought the Frost Giants' support as a precaution.

He had promised to return the hostage, Loki, once it was over.

Of course, he now believed Loki was dead, so he had no intention of honoring that promise.

As long as Thanos was dealt with, wouldn't the Frost Giants be his to manipulate as he pleased?

A moment later, Laufey's projection appeared before Odin.

"I hope you'll keep your word."

To be honest, he had not wanted to come.

But his son was in Odin's hands, leaving him no choice but to hold back.

After all, he had only one son, and he wanted him to inherit the Frost Giants' kingdom.

Odin merely smiled faintly and said confidently, "Don't worry. Loki is in my Wong right now, well protected.

As long as you help me repel the enemy, I'll return Loki to you."

Laufey nodded and said, "Fine!"

Soon, more than a thousand frost-covered ships circled around and launched an attack against the right flank of the enemy fleet.

Thanos nodded and said, "Laufey, was it? I seem to have captured a little fellow named Loki last year. He should be your son, right? He looks quite a lot like you."

They were still in the middle of a war, so he got straight to the point.

Your son is in my hands. If you don't want him dead, behave.

Laufey's face immediately filled with disbelief.

"What? Loki is in your hands? How is that possible?"

Seeing this, Thanos immediately understood that Laufey probably did not yet know Odin had thrown Loki into a Wormhole.

He said, "A year ago, my men found Loki in a suddenly opened Wormhole. That's why I was able to reach this star system through a Wormhole."

Laufey staggered back, muttering repeatedly, "How dare he... How dare he treat my son like that..."

Thanos said coldly, "If you withdraw now, I'll let you meet your son in one day."

Laufey raised his head and stared hard at Thanos. "I'll verify your claim right now. If you've lied to me, don't blame me for showing no mercy!"

With that, he flew back to his flagship, then led more than a thousand Spaceships away from the battlefield.

Thanos merely shook his head disdainfully.

If Odin had not been tying him down, he would have beaten Laufey into thirty-six point seven degrees long ago.

Elsewhere.

After Laufey withdrew with his fleet, Odin's projection immediately appeared before him and began questioning him.

"What's going on with you? Why did you pull back?!"

Looking at Odin before him, boundless fury rose in Laufey's heart.

The Frost Giants' Planet was called Jotunheim. It was an extremely barren world filled with ice and snow, wholly unsuitable for life to develop.

So he had led his people out of Jotunheim to multiply and survive on other Planets.

Everything had originally gone smoothly, until one day Odin arrived with Asgardian warriors.

He had seized Laufey's divine artifact, the Casket of Ancient Winters, and abducted his son.

The Frost Giants had once again been exiled to Jotunheim, where they could only struggle on in miserable survival.

If not for Odin, he would probably have become the ruler of the Milky Way by now.

Yet no matter how furious he was, he regained his composure the next moment and said, "The enemy says my son, Loki, is in his hands."

Odin's heart immediately lurched.

But outwardly, he remained cold. "Are you an idiot? You believe whatever the enemy tells you? Get back to the battlefield now, and I'll pretend none of this happened!"

When Laufey saw that Odin still had no intention of showing him Loki, he could not help believing Thanos a little more.

"I want to see whether Loki is still in your hands. The moment I see him, I'll go to the front line!"

A trace of gloom flashed through Odin's eyes.

Still, he said, "Fine. I'll connect to the palace right now and let you see him. Once you've seen him, get to the front line immediately, or I'll kill him!"
