Ning Rongrong is the daughter of Ning Fengzhi and the heir to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Her father arranged her engagement to Long Aotian, a prodigy with Twin Martial Souls, to strengthen the sect’s future. Rongrong rejected the arrangement, refusing to marry someone she did not love, and fled the sect disguised as a maid on the eve of her engagement banquet. 37 53

Before her departure, Long Aotian had given her the Aromatic Silk Beauty, which evolved her martial soul into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. Ning Fengzhi had allowed Rongrong to receive the herb despite its potential to overcome his own level-seventy-nine bottleneck, judging her innate gifts greater than his. After Zhu Qing reached level thirty-six, Rongrong distracted Zhao Wuji and escaped from Shrek with her companion. She left a note explaining that they intended to travel through the Soul Master world and provided more than ten thousand Gold Soul Coins as compensation. 80

Rongrong later reunited with Lin Yuan in Heaven Dou City, where he used the alias “Gu Yuan.” Their old pattern of provocation continued, but her anger gradually shifted into trust and affection.
