Ch. 741Choosing a projection

Sifa decided to use Time Projection to summon people and tested the ability by projecting Amyrius Rieveldt. After recalling Amyrius, he began projecting Gehrman Sparrow, leaving his projected force still in the making.

  • Sifa chose to project people, hoping to build an army and strengthen his options in battle.
  • Klein asked the mysterious being whether it planned to invest in anyone, and learned it had found a lucky person worth backing.
  • Sifa reviewed the projection rules and costs, then chose Amyrius Rieveldt as his first demigod projection.
  • Sifa tested Amyrius's ability to use a real Wraith Staff, then recalled him and noted that carried items fell to the ground.
  • Sifa spent more subscriptions to project Gehrman Sparrow, the Marionettist who had fought the King of the North.

Ch. 742Encounter

Chapter Summary: “Encounter”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Sifa expands his projected army by creating powerful Beyonder projections, including:
    • Iceberg Admiral Edwina
    • Admiral of Stars Cattleya
    • Kardashian, a nonhuman with characteristics from the Gatekeeper, Dreamwalker, and Rose Bishop Pathways
    • A Demigod Imperative Mage, four Sequence 5 Beyonders, and thirty Sequence 7 Pyromaniacs
  • The army costs Sifa 95,000 subscription uses, with Kardashian costing an additional 10,000. Although this significantly reduces his remaining resources, Sifa considers the expenditure worthwhile because the army is completely loyal.
  • Sifa uses his Iron-blooded Knight abilities to establish control over the projected forces. He then reclaims most of them, keeping only Kardashian and Cattleya:
    • Kardashian is retained because her Gatekeeper ability allows her to imprison Beyonders in an Underworld Prison.
    • Cattleya is retained because of her expertise in producing and using magical scrolls.
  • Kardashian transforms into black liquid and attaches herself to Sifa’s clothing, as her true body had previously done.
  • Cattleya’s projection joins the crew under the alias “Miss Jiali.” Sifa orders the crew to give her privacy and provide the materials she needs to create scrolls.
  • During the voyage, Sifa receives potion formulas from Cattleya, allowing him to begin gathering materials for the Doctor and Artisan potions.
  • Klein replies to Sifa, explaining that the mysterious dream visitor was a Snake of Mercury—an Angel of the Fate Pathway. The Angel is not hostile and can be contacted by writing on the Thousand Paper Crane and placing it beneath one’s pillow.
  • Sifa suspects that the “someone” mentioned by the Snake of Mercury is probably Klein, but he chooses not to contact the Angel yet because he has no questions.
  • The Explorer reaches Gulain City in East Balam. Sifa plans to contact Black Sails, who will connect him with the local Loen official responsible for his mission.
  • Sifa goes ashore with Mr. X and Nefi, leaving the rest of the crew aboard the ship. Nefi experiences the Southern Continent for the first time and attracts attention because of her unusual height.
  • In a city plaza, Sifa senses something unusual when a brown-skinned man with gentle features puts on a crystal monocle, ending the chapter on an ominous cliffhanger.

Character Developments

  • Sifa demonstrates increasing strategic confidence and resourcefulness. He is willing to spend a large amount of his subscription power to build a loyal and versatile force.
  • He also shows careful judgment by retaining projections whose abilities have practical long-term value rather than simply maintaining the entire army.
  • Cattleya’s projection becomes an active member of Sifa’s crew, bringing her knowledge of magical scrolls and her combat experience.
  • Kardashian’s projection is treated as a valuable containment and support asset because of her Gatekeeper abilities.
  • Nefi begins to experience the Southern Continent as a newcomer, showing curiosity while unintentionally drawing public attention.
  • Klein continues to act as an informed intermediary for Sifa, providing crucial information about the Snake of Mercury and dream contact.
  • Sifa’s crew adapts to the arrival of a mysterious new member, though they are instructed not to interfere with her.

Significant Themes

  • Power and resource management: Sifa must balance the enormous cost of creating projections against the military and strategic advantages they provide.
  • Loyalty and control: The projected army is valuable because its members are absolutely loyal to Sifa, eliminating the risks associated with recruiting real Beyonders.
  • Preparation and long-term planning: Sifa carefully gathers potion materials, retains useful projections, and prepares for his mission in the Southern Continent.
  • Mystery and hidden danger: The Snake of Mercury’s appearance and the unidentified monocle-wearing man reinforce the chapter’s atmosphere of supernatural intrigue.
  • Identity and imitation: The projections possess the abilities and knowledge of real individuals while existing as separate, controllable copies, raising questions about individuality and authenticity.
  • Exploration and cultural transition: The arrival in the Southern Continent introduces a new setting and emphasizes Nefi’s unfamiliarity with its people and environment.

Important Character Interactions

  • Sifa commands the projected army and links them to himself through his Iron-blooded Knight abilities.
  • He decides to retain Kardashian and Cattleya for their specialized abilities.
  • Sifa speaks with Cattleya’s projection and presents her to Nefi and the crew as “Miss Jiali.”
  • He reassures the crew that Cattleya should not be disturbed while arranging materials for her work.
  • Klein communicates with Sifa through a written reply, explaining how to contact the Snake of Mercury.
  • Sifa travels with Mr. X and Nefi into Gulain City, where the group encounters a mysterious local man whose crystal monocle appears to trigger Sifa’s alarm.

Ch. 743I Know

Chapter Summary: “I Know”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Sifa encounters a local man wearing a monocle and immediately realizes he is likely an avatar of Amon, the Blasphemer and King of Angels. Although Sifa considers attacking, he restrains himself, reasoning that Amon’s true body is absent and that the avatar is unlikely to be targeting him directly.
  • To conceal his recognition and maintain control, Sifa deliberately acts arrogant and orders Amon to move aside. Amon complies, but afterward deduces that Sifa recognized him and was pretending otherwise.
  • Amon observes that Sifa is a powerful Hunter demigod accompanied by a Traveler marionette and a Dawn Knight. He also notices the Marauder-related item Mrs. Christie and senses that another powerful figure is watching Sifa.
  • Amon decides not to confront Sifa immediately. Instead, he uses animals throughout Gulain City—including seabirds, rats, and insects—to monitor him.
  • While traveling through the city, Sifa and Nefi encounter the local custom of using coffins as transportation. Sifa explains the Southern Continent’s death-related traditions, while Nefi reacts with discomfort.
  • At a bar, Sifa secretly prays to Mr. Fool, reporting his encounter with Amon and requesting protection. He later receives a dossier delivered by a local messenger bearing a black sailing ship emblem.
  • Sifa visits both the Churches of Evernight and Storms to make donations, hoping to increase his safety in a city where Amon is present.
  • At the inn, Mr. Fool appears through the gray fog and calmly says, “I know.” This reassures Sifa that Mr. Fool is aware of Amon’s presence and can detect or remove any attempt by Amon to parasitize him.

Character Developments

  • Sifa demonstrates considerable self-control and strategic thinking. Despite recognizing Amon, he suppresses his instinct to attack and instead uses arrogance as a deliberate disguise. His caution also leads him to seek divine protection rather than rely solely on his own strength.
  • Sifa’s fear of being secretly parasitized by Amon is eased after Mr. Fool confirms his awareness. This allows him to proceed with greater confidence.
  • Amon is portrayed as perceptive, amused, and highly cautious. He quickly identifies Sifa’s feigned indifference, recognizes his unusual strength and possessions, and chooses surveillance over immediate confrontation.
  • Nefi remains inexperienced with Southern Continent customs. Her humorous reactions to the coffins provide a contrast to Sifa’s composed, knowledgeable attitude.
  • Mr. Fool reinforces his mysterious authority with a brief but decisive response. His awareness of the situation gives Sifa a sense of security.

Significant Themes

  • Deception and counter-deception: Sifa pretends not to recognize Amon, while Amon sees through the performance. Both characters rely on misdirection and concealment.
  • Power and caution: Even a powerful demigod like Sifa must remain wary when facing an avatar of Amon. Survival depends more on judgment and preparation than raw strength.
  • Surveillance and hidden influence: Amon monitors Sifa through animals, while another unknown figure appears to be watching Sifa as well. The chapter emphasizes that threats may be invisible and indirect.
  • Faith and protection: Sifa’s prayers, church donations, and reliance on Mr. Fool show how supernatural protection and alliances are essential in a dangerous world.
  • Cultural difference: The coffin transportation custom highlights the contrast between Northern and Southern Continent beliefs, particularly their different attitudes toward death.

Character Interactions

  • Sifa and Amon have a brief but tense face-to-face encounter concealed beneath superficial hostility. Sifa orders Amon aside, while Amon later analyzes the encounter and recognizes the act.
  • Sifa and Nefi discuss Southern Continent customs, with Sifa explaining the cultural meaning of coffins and Nefi reacting uneasily.
  • Sifa communicates with Mr. Fool through prayer and later receives direct reassurance that Mr. Fool knows about Amon and can protect him.
  • Amon’s indirect interaction with Sifa continues through his animal spies, turning their brief meeting into an ongoing contest of observation and concealment.

Ch. 744A Common Enemy

Klein discovered that Amon was watching Chariot in Gulain City and contacted Leonard for information before deciding how to handle the threat. Meanwhile, Major Conboni prepared to attack Rose School-backed rebels holding Balidrona Bridge, relying on promised support from the Black Sails.

  • Klein confirmed that Chariot had not been parasitized, but spotted an Amon-parasitized bird watching him and severed his connection with Chariot.
  • Klein worried that Amon might be tracking Chariot because of his connection to Above the Gray Fog, and decided to suspend the next Tarot Club gathering or exclude Chariot.
  • Klein returned to the real world and summoned Miss Messenger to deliver a letter to Leonard Mitchell, keeping Amon's surveillance secret from Chariot.
  • In Gulain City, a man wearing a crystal monocle glanced at the sky and continued walking.
  • Major Conboni learned that the Black Sails Beyonders had arrived to support his planned attack on the rebels occupying Balidrona Bridge.
  • Comber led his assembled soldiers toward the bridge to crush the rebels.

Ch. 745Reinforcements

Major Conboni’s team tried to seize Balidrona Bridge, but Rose School members ambushed them after the rebels discovered the infiltration. Lieutenant Colonel Sifa and his companions arrived as reinforcements, leaving Comber to suppress the remaining rebels while they faced the Rose School fighters.

  • Comber’s team silently eliminated the sentries beneath Balidrona Bridge, disguised themselves as rebels, and found explosives attached to the bridge piers.
  • Wraith Torres possessed Comber’s adjutant, who shot a soldier before Comber used Mental Pierce and killed him; Torres then revealed himself and ordered the rebels to attack.
  • Zombie Gerard sent zombies against Comber’s soldiers, while Werewolf Candice attacked Comber and Torres led the assault.
  • Sifa’s reinforcements arrived, with a girl attacking Candice, a gray-haired man confronting Gerard, and a masked man prohibiting Torres’s possession ability.
  • Sifa told Comber that he and his companions would handle the Rose School members and asked Comber to suppress the remaining rebels.

Ch. 746Traveler vs. Wraith

Summary

Key Plot Points and Events

  • After revealing his identity to Comberny, Sifa—operating through Mr. X—immediately confronts the Rose School members on the bridge, especially Torres, a Wraith.
  • Using abilities copied from the Arbiter Pathway, Mr. X first casts Imprisonment, preventing Torres from possessing anyone, then follows with Whipping and Death in an attempt to destroy him.
  • Torres avoids the attack by jumping through mirrors he had scattered across the bridge. Mr. X responds with Confinement, sealing the bridge and limiting Torres’s escape routes.
  • Torres repeatedly travels through mirrors and patches of ice, eventually attacking with Wraith Shriek and an ice arrow. Mr. X evades with Travel, then retaliates using copied fireball abilities, though Torres escapes through another mirror.
  • Realizing direct attacks are ineffective, Torres summons numerous terrifying spirit bodies to restrain Mr. X. Mr. X counters with Fire of Light, a Sun Pathway ability that burns away the ghosts and dispels the surrounding cold.
  • Torres identifies Mr. X as a Traveler, recognizing that his ability to use powers from multiple Pathways comes from the Scribe Sequence. He also realizes Mr. X has deliberately prepared abilities that counter the Wraith’s strengths.
  • Torres attempts to gain an advantage by freezing the feet of the rebels and Loen soldiers on the bridge, distracting Mr. X. He then uses a black abyss and blood-red, fanged vines to attack.
  • Mr. X survives by employing a Paper Figurine Substitute, another recorded ability, and reappears elsewhere. He finishes the exchange by summoning Holy Light, a powerful Sun Pathway attack, against Torres’s abyss and vines.

Character Developments

  • Mr. X/Sifa demonstrates careful preparation, tactical flexibility, and extensive knowledge of his enemy. Rather than relying on a single power, he combines Arbiter, Sun, Traveler, and other recorded abilities to counter Torres.
  • Mr. X’s ability to remain calm and adapt under pressure emphasizes his growing mastery as a combatant and his resourcefulness as a Traveler.
  • Torres proves highly elusive and inventive, using mirrors, ice, spirit bodies, and the environment to evade attacks and create openings. However, he becomes increasingly frustrated as Mr. X repeatedly neutralizes his techniques.
  • Torres successfully deduces Mr. X’s Pathway identity and the source of his copied powers, but this knowledge does not give him a practical advantage because Mr. X’s abilities are specifically suited to restraining and destroying Wraiths.

Significant Themes

  • Preparation and information as power: Sifa’s prior study of the Arbiter and Sun Pathways allows Mr. X to counter Torres almost immediately.
  • Adaptability versus specialization: Torres relies on the strengths of a Wraith—possession, mobility, spirits, and supernatural ambushes—while Mr. X’s broad selection of borrowed abilities gives him answers to nearly every tactic.
  • Light versus death and corruption: The Sun Pathway’s golden flames and Holy Light symbolically and literally oppose Torres’s ghosts, freezing winds, black abyss, and blood-red vines.
  • Combat as a battle of counters: Neither opponent simply overwhelms the other; each attack prompts a specific defensive response, making the confrontation a contest of anticipation and tactical knowledge.
  • The danger of versatility: Mr. X’s copied abilities make him unpredictable and difficult to exploit, demonstrating the Traveler’s strength in combining powers from different sources.

Character Interactions

  • Mr. X directly dominates the engagement through authoritative commands such as “Imprisonment,” “Whipping,” “Death,” and “Confinement,” attempting to restrict Torres’s movement and prevent possession.
  • Torres responds with evasive mirror-jumping, spirit attacks, Wraith Shriek, freezing techniques, and abyssal vines, repeatedly searching for a weakness.
  • Their exchange reveals mutual recognition: Torres identifies Mr. X as a Traveler and understands that his copied abilities are designed to counter the Wraith, while Mr. X anticipates Torres’s methods and repeatedly neutralizes them.
  • The chapter ends with Mr. X launching Holy Light at Torres’s abyss, leaving the outcome of the confrontation unresolved but showing that the Traveler has gained the upper hand.

Ch. 747Fierce Battle

Chapter Summary: “Fierce Battle”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • A sacred pillar of Holy Light severely damages Torres, a Wraith, burning half his body and forcing him to retreat.
  • Nefi, the Dawn Knight, maintains the upper hand against Candice, a female Werewolf from the Rose School. Candice’s impatience and reckless attacks leave her increasingly vulnerable, though her regeneration keeps her fighting.
  • Chik battles Gerard, a Zombie. Chik’s Bribery weakens Gerard, while Distortion repeatedly redirects or alters Gerard’s attacks. The Sinful Bandage also gives Chik enhanced physical abilities, allowing him to gain the advantage.
  • Sifa intervenes in Chik’s fight. He strikes Gerard with Holy Light and follows with a compressed Fireball, destroying Gerard’s head and killing him.
  • Sifa orders Chik to assist Nefi, then turns his attention to Torres.
  • Torres attempts to escape through scattered mirrors using Mirror Jump. Sifa sends Fire Crows toward the mirrors and raises the temperature of the bridge, destroying or disabling Torres’s escape routes and preventing him from creating frost.
  • Mr. X repeatedly invokes “Confinement” and forbids Wraith Possession, further restricting Torres’s abilities.
  • Mr. X uses Mental Pierce to disrupt Torres, then successfully imprisons him. Holy Light weakens Torres’s Wraith form, and Sifa finishes him with a Flame Spear that pierces and explodes inside his head.

Character Developments

  • Sifa demonstrates overwhelming battlefield control and tactical awareness. Rather than simply attacking Torres, he systematically removes the Wraith’s options before delivering the final blow.
  • Torres shifts from confident supernatural combatant to helpless and desperate victim. Losing Mirror Jump and Wraith Possession leaves him unable to escape or meaningfully resist.
  • Mr. X reveals the importance of his control and confinement abilities, coordinating with Sifa to neutralize Torres.
  • Chik proves highly adaptable, combining his own Distortion powers with the Sinful Bandage and Bribery to outmaneuver Gerard.
  • Nefi remains disciplined and balanced in combat, steadily suppressing Candice despite lacking the raw offensive power of a male Dawn Knight.
  • Candice becomes increasingly reckless as her frustration grows, allowing Nefi to exploit her mistakes.
  • Gerard is overwhelmed despite his Zombie resilience and control over undead creatures, dying after Sifa intervenes.

Significant Themes

  • Control versus desperation: The heroes win by limiting the opponents’ choices, while Candice and Torres become increasingly reckless or powerless.
  • The strength of teamwork: Sifa, Mr. X, Chik, and Nefi combine their abilities effectively, defeating opponents who would be dangerous individually.
  • Tactical preparation: Sifa’s destruction of the mirrors and melting of the frost shows that victory depends not only on power but also on understanding and countering an enemy’s abilities.
  • Holy power against supernatural corruption: Holy Light is especially devastating to Wraiths and Zombies, emphasizing the vulnerability of corrupted or undead beings.
  • Plans disrupted by unexpected forces: The Rose School’s carefully arranged operation collapses after Sifa and his allies intervene.

Character Interactions

  • Sifa and Mr. X cooperate closely: Mr. X confines and restricts Torres while Sifa attacks and eliminates him.
  • Sifa and Chik fight on the same side, with Sifa killing Gerard and directing Chik to support Nefi.
  • Nefi and Candice engage in a direct contest between disciplined defense and savage aggression.
  • Chik and Gerard clash through contrasting abilities: Gerard relies on brute force, frost, and undead minions, while Chik twists his attacks through Distortion and weakens him through Bribery.
  • Sifa and Torres become the central confrontation, with Sifa dismantling every method Torres has of escaping before killing him.

Ch. 748Protection of Concealment

Chapter Summary: “Protection of Concealment”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Sifa defeats the Wraith Torres after Torres survives decapitation and attempts to flee. Sifa uses Fire Crows to enter and destroy Torres from within, finally annihilating his body.
  • Chik restrains the remaining female Werewolf, allowing Nefi to decapitate her and throw her head into the river.
  • With the rebels dead or surrendered and the remaining sentries fleeing, the battle on the bridge ends.
  • Major Conboni thanks Sifa for arriving in time to prevent heavy military losses. Sifa and his companions collect the Beyonder corpses and the Wraith’s Beyonder Characteristic before teleporting away.
  • Afterward, a disguised observer in the form of a speckle-tailed wood pigeon watches the aftermath. The observer notes that Sifa is favored by someone other than Evernight, though Evernight is merely observing him, suggesting deeper supernatural or political forces at work.
  • On Monday morning, Klein receives a letter from Leonard through Miss Messenger, Reinette Tinekerr. The letter discusses Amon’s avatars and the need for “Protection of Concealment” to oppose them.
  • Leonard explains that Amon’s avatars can absorb Marauder Pathway Beyonder Characteristics, split into additional Worms of Time, and parasitize more people. Given enough resources, they could spread through an entire city like a plague.
  • The recommended strategy is to lure an avatar out using high-level Marauder Pathway characteristics, eliminate it, and then track down the others. However, because Amon is an expert in deception, concealment and extreme caution are essential.
  • Klein concludes that the Amon avatars in Gulain City are probably around weak Sequence 4 or, at most, Sequence 3, but still considers them extraordinarily dangerous.

Character Developments

  • Sifa demonstrates overwhelming combat ability, tactical efficiency, and decisiveness. He destroys Torres completely rather than assuming the Wraith is defeated and calmly leaves the cleanup to Major Conboni.
  • Chik and Nefi work effectively as a team: Chik immobilizes the Werewolf while Nefi delivers the killing blow, reinforcing their reliability in battle.
  • Major Conboni shows gratitude and professionalism toward Sifa, while privately grieving or reflecting on the adjutant he had to kill.
  • Klein becomes increasingly cautious and strategically focused. Learning about Amon’s ability to multiply and strengthen his avatars makes him recognize that confronting Amon requires careful preparation rather than direct action.
  • Leonard, although absent, acts as an important source of intelligence, apparently investigating Amon and coordinating indirectly with Klein.
  • Amon’s threat is further established as vast and unconventional: his avatars function as a self-replicating network rather than isolated enemies.

Significant Themes

  • Concealment and deception: The chapter emphasizes that hiding one’s intentions and location is vital when dealing with Amon, whose greatest strength is trickery.
  • Escalating supernatural danger: Amon’s avatars can multiply, strengthen themselves, and spread through hosts, creating a threat comparable to an epidemic.
  • Military duty and sacrifice: Conboni’s victory comes with personal losses, including the need to kill his own adjutant.
  • Power and political ambiguity: The observer’s comments imply that Sifa’s connection to powerful entities is not straightforward, and that unseen factions are monitoring his actions.
  • Strategic restraint: Even powerful characters recognize that strength alone is insufficient; survival depends on preparation, information, and avoiding deception.

Character Interactions

  • Sifa coordinates with Chik and Nefi during the bridge battle, using their abilities to eliminate the remaining enemies.
  • Major Conboni formally thanks Sifa and acknowledges that his intervention saved the military force from severe casualties.
  • A mysterious observer watches Sifa from afar and comments on his relationship with Evernight and another unknown power.
  • Reinette delivers Leonard’s letter to Klein, maintaining their practical, transactional relationship.
  • Through Leonard’s message, Klein gains crucial information about Amon’s avatars and the need to use concealment when attempting to hunt them.

Ch. 749Ritual

Chapter Summary: “Ritual”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Klein reads a warning about Amon’s avatars. When one avatar encounters danger, Amon’s other avatars may converge around the strongest one, allowing it to absorb their essence and grow stronger. If this happens, even an Angel of Concealment might be unable to prevent Amon from escaping.
  • Two possible methods for dealing with Amon are outlined:
    1. Use a Grade 1 Marauder Pathway Sealed Artifact or a Marauder demigod to create a concealed, natural-looking trap.
    2. Wait for Amon to reveal Himself, while using abilities capable of detecting identity replacement, “Grafting of Fate,” or abnormalities in tiny creatures.
  • Klein decides the first method is more practical for Sifa, who possesses the Marauder-pathway mystical item Mrs. Christie. He plans for Sifa to seek the Church of Evernight’s help first and will provide Protection of Concealment himself if necessary.
  • Klein warns Sifa through the gray fog that Amon is watching him, though Amon has not yet parasitized Sifa or anyone around him. He also orders Sifa to suspend his participation in the Tarot Club until the danger is resolved.
  • Sifa concludes that Mrs. Christie can serve as the necessary Marauder artifact and prepares to contact the Church of Evernight. However, he realizes that directly visiting the church might alert Amon.
  • Instead, Sifa performs a ritual prayer to the Evernight Goddess, using specially prepared candles, incense, herbs, essential oils, and a spiritual barrier. He asks for Protection of Concealment and explains that he encountered an Amon avatar in Gulain City.
  • The ritual receives no immediate response. Sifa jokes that the Goddess may ignore him because he rarely attends church, then prepares to pray to the Lord of Storms using the Grade 1 Calamity Spear.
  • Before he can do so, a mysterious barefoot woman in a worn linen robe appears. Her peaceful presence instantly calms Sifa, erasing the fear and disturbance caused by Amon.

Character Developments

  • Klein demonstrates caution and strategic judgment. Rather than immediately intervening, he evaluates the safest way to contain Amon and recognizes that concealment and secrecy are essential. He also takes responsibility for protecting Sifa by monitoring him and temporarily removing him from the Tarot Club.
  • Sifa responds to the threat with fear but remains composed and resourceful. He understands the danger of attracting Amon’s attention, uses Mr. Fool to verify that no avatar is present, and independently attempts to obtain divine protection. His willingness to act shows growing confidence as a demigod.
  • Amon remains an unseen but overwhelming threat. His ability to replace identities, infiltrate through tiny creatures, and strengthen avatars makes even ordinary actions potentially dangerous.
  • The mysterious woman’s arrival introduces a powerful, calming presence whose identity and intentions are not yet explained.

Significant Themes

  • Concealment and secrecy: Success against Amon depends less on brute force than on preventing Him from noticing, infiltrating, or preparing a countermeasure.
  • Paranoia and uncertainty: Amon may hide in unexpected forms, making trust, observation, and even simple movement dangerous.
  • Divine protection and faith: Sifa’s ritual reflects both his dependence on higher powers and his uncertain relationship with the gods he invokes.
  • Preparation versus improvisation: Klein favors a carefully arranged trap, while Sifa must adapt quickly to the changing threat.
  • Calm amid danger: The woman’s appearance contrasts sharply with Amon’s destabilizing influence, suggesting that serenity and spiritual authority may be powerful defenses.

Character Interactions

  • Klein communicates directly with Sifa through the gray fog, warning him about Amon and giving him practical instructions.
  • Sifa interprets Klein’s mention of the Evernight Goddess as a deliberate suggestion that he seek Her Church’s assistance before relying on Mr. Fool’s power.
  • Sifa attempts to establish contact with the Evernight Goddess through ritual prayer, but receives no visible response.
  • The chapter ends with the unexplained woman entering Sifa’s presence and immediately neutralizing the emotional disturbance caused by Amon, creating a striking contrast between the two figures.

Ch. 750Secret Fate

Chapter Summary: “Secret Fate”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Sifa encounters Arianna, the Evernight Goddess’s “Servant of Concealment,” and realizes she is an Angel. He respectfully addresses her as “Madam.”
  • Arianna reveals that Amon’s avatar has already left Gurainis. Amon apparently examined Sifa’s fate and withdrew to avoid disrupting a larger plan.
  • She warns Sifa that he has entered Amon’s awareness and that other avatars may try to approach, parasitize, or replace him.
  • To protect him, Arianna grants Sifa the power of concealment, hiding his fate from beings below Sequence 2. She also tells him to pray to the Evernight Goddess if he encounters Amon.
  • After Arianna disappears, Sifa asks Mr. Fool to check whether Amon remains nearby. He receives confirmation that Amon has departed and feels relieved.
  • The scene shifts to Bayam, where an elderly former resistance fighter spends his final hours with his son, Namounton. He reflects on his life, marriage, family, and his deceased wife.
  • The old man dies that evening and is buried beside his wife. Namounton honors him with a simple epitaph describing him as an ordinary, gentle, and responsible man.
  • After cleaning his childhood home, Namounton leaves with a suitcase. In an alley, he changes his appearance and resumes his true identity as Caven Brook, a Faceless.
  • Caven acknowledges that while he can act as anyone, he can only truly be himself. With his grief resolved, he begins traveling again.

Character Development

  • Sifa: Becomes more aware of his growing importance and vulnerability in the eyes of powerful beings. He accepts the Evernight Goddess’s protection despite understanding that it places him within her sphere of attention.
  • Arianna: Is introduced as a calm, devout, and highly capable Angel. Her protective action demonstrates the Evernight Goddess’s concern for Sifa and the seriousness of Amon’s threat.
  • Amon: His cautious and strategic nature is emphasized. Rather than confronting Sifa directly, he studies Sifa’s fate and withdraws when circumstances may threaten his plans.
  • Caven Brook/Namounton: Completes an emotional farewell to his father and his former identity. His transformation from Namounton back into Caven represents both his supernatural ability and his acceptance of who he truly is.

Significant Themes

  • Protection and concealment: Concealing Sifa’s fate protects him from Amon but also draws him closer to the influence of a powerful deity.
  • Power and fate: Even Sifa’s actions are being examined and influenced by Angels and gods, highlighting the limited freedom of individuals in a world governed by supernatural forces.
  • Identity and performance: Caven’s statement that acting is only acting explores the difference between assuming identities and retaining an authentic self.
  • Mortality and ordinary life: The old man’s peaceful death, marriage, and family memories contrast with the chapter’s grand supernatural events, emphasizing the value of a simple human life.
  • Grief and acceptance: Namounton/Caven honors his father, accepts his death, and moves forward rather than remaining trapped in mourning.

Character Interactions

  • Sifa and Arianna: Their respectful exchange establishes Arianna’s authority and Sifa’s willingness to accept divine protection. Arianna directly warns him about Amon and offers practical assistance.
  • Sifa and Mr. Fool: Sifa relies on Mr. Fool to verify that Amon has truly left, showing his continued dependence on trusted supernatural allies.
  • The old man and Namounton: Their final conversation is affectionate and intimate. The father shares his life story and final wishes, while the son attempts to reassure him despite understanding that death is near.
  • Caven and his former family home: Though not a direct conversation, Caven’s final look at the house reflects his emotional connection to his past and his decision to continue living as himself.

Ch. 751Alfred

Sifa met Colonel Alfred Hall, who recruited him to help attack a rebel headquarters in Cookawa City. After returning to his hotel, Sifa received a letter from Miss Viri and offered to help with whatever was troubling her.

  • Sifa met Alfred at the Sweet Orange Tree Bar and agreed to assist with the planned operation in Cookawa City, where the rebels had a fortified headquarters and might have a demigod.
  • Alfred explained that a military demigod would suppress any Rose School demigod, and said the operation would not begin for at least a day or two.
  • After leaving the bar, Paroni praised Sifa's strength and joked that Alfred should warn Audrey about him, but Alfred defended Audrey's judgment.
  • Back at the hotel, Sifa received a letter from Miss Viri and offered his help when he sensed her melancholy.
  • Miss Viri accepted Sifa's offer before departing.

Ch. 752Two Pages of Diary

Chapter Summary: “Two Pages of Diary”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Sifa receives a letter from Cattleya, the Admiral of Stars, containing another section of Emperor Roselle’s diary. Cattleya also asks about two Chinese characters, which she identifies as “Hometown.”
  • Roselle’s diary describes the early childhood of his daughter, Bernadette. He reflects on her intelligence, her resemblance to his former self on Earth, and his sadness that she will never meet her grandparents from his original world.
  • Roselle debates whether to teach Bernadette Chinese. He ultimately decides to teach her the characters for “Hometown,” presenting them as a protective incantation so she will preserve a connection to his past without understanding the diary itself.
  • The diary later records Roselle’s visit to Baimeng, a mountain city, after hearing of a strange chapel possibly connected to pre-Fourth Epoch religion.
  • The chapel’s priest claims it is a temple of the Creator open to followers of every race and deity. He tells Roselle an ancient creation myth: monstrous beings once ruled the world until the Creator reclaimed their powers and gave them to humanity. The Creator then fell asleep, promising to awaken when madness, cruelty, greed, indulgence, apathy, and bloodlust again overwhelm the world.
  • Roselle returns to Trier and realizes he forgot to ask the priest’s name. He believes he will encounter the chapel again.
  • Sifa connects the priest’s description of the Creator to the mythology of the True Creator and the City of Silver, while noting similarities between this world’s religious imagery and Christianity on Earth.

Character Developments

  • Sifa experiences unexpected nostalgia for his former life as Li Zexi. Although he once considered his old existence dull and insignificant, Roselle’s longing for Earth reminds him that ordinary memories—eating with coworkers, drinking beer, and complaining about work—have emotional value.
  • Emperor Roselle is shown as a loving and thoughtful father. His decision to preserve his cultural heritage through the characters for “Hometown” reveals both his homesickness and his desire to leave Bernadette a meaningful connection to him.
  • Bernadette is portrayed through Roselle’s affectionate observations as intelligent, gifted, and central to his emotional life.
  • The Baimeng priest appears gentle and reserved but possesses suspiciously deep knowledge of ancient history and religious secrets, suggesting that he may be far more powerful or significant than he appears.
  • Cattleya continues investigating Roselle’s writings and seeks Sifa’s help in interpreting their hidden meaning.

Significant Themes

  • Homesickness and memory: Both Roselle and Sifa are reminded that even an unsatisfying former life can become precious after it is lost.
  • Inheritance and identity: The “Hometown” characters symbolize Roselle’s attempt to pass his original-world identity and emotional legacy to Bernadette.
  • Mystery of the Creator: The priest’s mythology raises questions about the true origins of humanity, the ancient races, and the relationship between the Creator, the True Creator, and the orthodox faiths.
  • Recurring cycles of catastrophe: The Creator’s prophecy suggests that the world may be approaching another period of madness and destruction.
  • Religious ambiguity and hidden history: Conflicting scriptures and the existence of a secret chapel imply that official religious doctrines conceal or distort important truths.
  • Parallels between worlds: Sifa notices repeated similarities between Earth’s Christianity and the religions of this world, reinforcing the mystery of his transmigration and the world’s underlying connections to Earth.

Important Character Interactions

  • Sifa and Cattleya: Cattleya entrusts Sifa with Roselle’s diary and asks him to interpret the Chinese characters, demonstrating her reliance on him as a link to Roselle’s hidden past.
  • Roselle and Bernadette: Though Bernadette is only an infant in the diary, Roselle’s reflections show a deep paternal bond. He wants to protect her while preserving a piece of his homeland for her.
  • Roselle and the Baimeng priest: Their brief conversation exposes a secret creation myth and establishes the priest as a potentially important, enigmatic figure.
  • Sifa and Roselle’s memories: Reading the diary causes Sifa to emotionally identify with Roselle’s homesickness, linking the two transmigrators through their shared separation from Earth.

Ch. 753Lucky One

Sifa refined his Iron-blooded Knight acting plan and prepared to investigate a rebel command post, while Klein's voyage was interrupted by the arrival of the suspicious man from Hallman Port. The chapter ended with the man transforming from a Flame Spear on the passenger liner's deck.

  • Sifa found new tags and costly Creation options in the Book of Mysteries, including the Universal Uniqueness Medium.
  • Sifa concluded that localized warfare and connections with his army might help digest his Iron-blooded Knight potion.
  • Paroni delivered Alfred's documents about Cookawa City and the rebel command post, and Sifa summoned Nefi and Chik to investigate.
  • Klein departed Hallman Port aboard a passenger liner for an arms deal in Gulain City and spotted an arrogant man on the dock.
  • After a storm delayed the voyage, a Flame Spear struck the liner's forward deck and reassembled into the man Klein had seen at the port.

Ch. 754Meeting Again

Summary

Plot and Key Events

  • Klein, disguised as a Loen gentleman aboard a passenger ship, is startled when a powerful Demigod arrives and searches the vessel. The Demigod discovers a suspicious passenger carrying a hidden item and wearing a disguise.
  • Under interrogation, the passenger reveals that an unknown man paid him £100 to impersonate him and take the ship toward the Southern Continent. The Demigod realizes this was an elaborate escape tactic: the real target created false evidence suggesting he had boarded the ship, while actually remaining at Hallman Port to evade pursuers.
  • After confirming the deception, the Demigod attacks Hallman Port with a massive flame spear. Klein remains on the ship and later notices a distinctive, luggage-free man boarding at another port. He recognizes him as Ince Zangwill, suggesting that Zangwill may have been involved in the earlier deception or has unexpectedly entered the story.
  • In West Balam’s Cookawa City, Sifa travels with Nefi and Chik through the city toward a restaurant. He observes the local culture, architecture, food, tobacco use, and the lingering influence of colonial conflict.
  • Sifa considers the nearby rebel headquarters, hidden in a vast primeval forest filled with abandoned temples. He begins planning how to approach the rebels.
  • At night, Sifa creates a Sequence 5 Time Projection of himself to act as a decoy and confuse anyone monitoring him. Mr. X then arrives through an illusory door and uses the power of “Travel” to transport Sifa away.

Character Development

  • Klein remains cautious and analytical. Rather than intervening, he observes the Demigod’s actions and deduces the logic behind the impersonation plot. His recognition of Ince Zangwill introduces renewed suspicion and danger.
  • Sifa demonstrates increasing mastery of his Demigod abilities, particularly through the creation of a powerful, autonomous Time Projection. He also consciously uses food and ordinary pleasures to preserve his humanity and prevent his divinity from overwhelming him.
  • Nefi is portrayed as energetic, food-loving, and physically confident, especially in her enthusiasm for grilled meat.
  • Chik acts as the practical, health-conscious counterpoint to Nefi, warning her against eating too much protein.
  • Mr. X appears as a capable ally who can quickly transport Sifa through his Travel ability.
  • Ince Zangwill’s brief appearance reinforces his mysterious and potentially threatening role.

Significant Themes

  • Deception and pursuit: The disguised passenger’s scheme shows how identity, false evidence, and manipulated appearances can be used to escape powerful enemies.
  • Observation and deduction: Klein relies on careful observation rather than direct action, piecing together the escape plan from the Demigod’s behavior.
  • Humanity versus divinity: Sifa’s enjoyment of food is portrayed as a deliberate way of maintaining his human nature despite becoming a Demigod.
  • Colonialism and resistance: Cookawa City’s foreign presence, local customs, and nearby rebel stronghold highlight the continuing tension between colonial powers and Southern Continent resistance movements.
  • Preparation and misdirection: Sifa’s projection demonstrates the importance of planning, decoys, and concealment in a dangerous supernatural world.

Character Interactions

  • The Demigod intimidates and interrogates the disguised passenger, using his gaze to verify the man’s testimony before launching his attack.
  • Klein silently observes both the interrogation and the Demigod’s reasoning, then later identifies Ince Zangwill from a brief glimpse.
  • Sifa, Nefi, and Chik share a lighthearted breakfast conversation: Nefi celebrates the grilled meat, while Chik advises moderation.
  • Sifa and his companions contrast their relaxed meal with his serious strategic thoughts about the rebel headquarters.
  • Mr. X arrives privately and transports Sifa, marking the transition from public observation and preparation to covert action.

Ch. 755Night reconnaissance

Sifa infiltrated the rebel headquarters in Cookawa City to scout its layout and locate its supplies and ammunition. While investigating, he witnessed Lady Greya kill two soldiers over their answers about her appearance.

  • Sifa summoned Kardashian and sent nature spirits and dead souls ahead as sentries while he and Mr. X approached the rebel headquarters.
  • Kardashian hypnotized a guard, and Mr. X used Gehrman's Faceless ability to impersonate him as Sifa transformed with the Twilight Giant Card and concealed himself.
  • Sifa entered the headquarters invisibly and surveyed its layout while Mr. X and Kardashian searched for the supply and ammunition stores.
  • Sifa entered a room after hearing a scream and saw Lady Greya standing over a dead soldier as two others begged for mercy.
  • Greya killed one soldier for calling her beautiful and smashed the other soldier's head after he said she was ugly.

Ch. 756A Man Who Followed His Heart

Sifa infiltrated the Rose School headquarters, learned about its members and layout, and returned with information for the planned attack. Alfred and Sifa arranged to strike on Sunday night, while Sifa prepared to bring the Explorer's crew into Cookawa City.

  • Sifa watched Greya kill several people and learned that she was a member of the Rose School's Indulgence Faction.
  • Lydon confronted Greya, and Sifa identified him as a Sequence 5 Wraith before exploring the remaining rooms of the headquarters.
  • Sifa chose not to investigate the locked room that likely held a Rose School demigod, then regrouped with Kardashian and Mr. X and left with them.
  • Two days later, Alfred and Paroni met Sifa, who shared his hand-drawn layout of the headquarters and warned them about the possible demigod.
  • Alfred told Sifa they planned to attack on Sunday night, and Sifa sent Chik to bring the Explorer's crew into Cookawa City in separate groups.
  • Sifa summoned the Spirit World Treasure Chest and took out Beyonder ingredients for Lucky One.

Ch. 757Don't Come Any Closer

Chapter Summary: “Don’t Come Any Closer”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • On Saturday night in Gulain City, Klein leaves a hotel with Ouff, a local thug he has turned into a Marionette. Dissatisfied with the Marionette’s weakness compared with his former powerful one, Admiral of Blood, Klein uses a branch from a Nimsman Tree to divine the location of another suitable target.
  • His divination leads him to a steep staircase, where he waits. A fleeing man soon appears. Klein’s Dream Divination confirms that the man is connected to the Rose School and is dangerous.
  • Klein attempts to capture him using Ouff and a match-based Flame Jump. Ouff is quickly shot and destroyed, but Klein uses the opening to engage the man directly. After a fierce battle, he defeats him and turns him into a new Marionette named Enzo.
  • Klein orders Enzo to erase the evidence before disappearing into the shadows.
  • Shortly afterward, Leonard Mitchell, Daly Simone, and the Red Gloves arrive while investigating the Numinous Episcopate. Daly detects evidence of a gunshot and concludes that Enzo has died. Leonard consults the Angel parasitizing him, who explains that Enzo witnessed something terrifying enough to damage and spiritually pollute his body. This suggests that Klein’s presence or power was deeply horrifying to the victim.
  • Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon in Cookawa City, Sifa experiments with Grigor the parrot’s newly acquired “Lucky One” ability. He blindfolds himself, ties Grigor to a spinning wheel, and throws knives at him.
  • Despite the dangerous stunt, every knife lands around Grigor without injuring him, confirming his extraordinary luck. Sifa declares himself reassured, but Grigor becomes terrified that Sifa intends to perform even more experiments.

Character Developments

  • Klein remains pragmatic and opportunistic. He is dissatisfied with possessing only a weak Marionette and immediately seeks a stronger replacement. He demonstrates his usual caution by divining the target’s nature before acting, while also showing adaptability when Ouff is destroyed.
  • Ouff proves ineffective in combat and is quickly sacrificed during Klein’s ambush.
  • Enzo becomes Klein’s new Marionette after being defeated. His apparent death and spiritual terror alarm Leonard and the Red Gloves.
  • Leonard Mitchell continues balancing his official mission with his secret connection to the Angel within him. The Angel’s explanation reveals the disturbing supernatural consequences of Klein’s intervention.
  • Daly Simone displays her enhanced sensory abilities by reconstructing details of the recent confrontation from faint sounds and traces.
  • Sifa is playful, reckless, and scientifically curious. He treats Grigor’s luck as something to be tested, though his experiment is frightening enough to make him appear cruel.
  • Grigor is confirmed to possess remarkable luck, surviving a seemingly lethal knife-throwing performance. His comic protests and fear provide a sharp contrast to the darker events in Gulain City.
  • Nefi sympathizes with Grigor but does not intervene, while Chik reluctantly assists Sifa.

Significant Themes

  • Power and replacement: Klein’s dissatisfaction with Ouff emphasizes the importance of strength and usefulness in his dangerous supernatural world.
  • The horror of the unknown: Enzo’s reaction suggests that encountering Klein—or something associated with him—can cause profound spiritual damage, even without a clear explanation of what he saw.
  • Investigation versus concealment: The Red Gloves attempt to uncover the Numinous Episcopate’s activities, while Klein carefully erases evidence and escapes before they arrive.
  • Luck and control: Sifa’s experiment tests whether Grigor’s luck can overcome deliberate danger, raising the contrast between calculated skill and seemingly uncontrollable fortune.
  • Darkness mixed with comedy: The grim Marionette conflict is juxtaposed with the absurd knife-throwing scene, giving the chapter both menace and comic relief.

Character Interactions

  • Klein commands Ouff and later Enzo, treating both as tools in his plans.
  • Klein and the Rose School-affiliated fugitive engage in a brief but intense confrontation, ending with Klein’s victory.
  • Leonard privately consults the Angel within him, whose account deepens the mystery surrounding Klein’s actions.
  • Daly and Leonard work together with the Red Gloves to investigate the aftermath of the battle.
  • Sifa teases and experiments on Grigor, while Chik assists reluctantly and Nefi watches sympathetically. Grigor repeatedly protests and begs them to stop, ending the chapter in panic as Sifa ominously approaches him.

Ch. 758Signal

Sifa and Alfred launched their coordinated operation against the rebel headquarters, with Alfred's force drawing away the rebel soldiers while Sifa led his team toward the Rose School members. Sifa's team reached the headquarters and began its assault with a barrage of fireballs.

  • Alfred and Paroni met Sifa's team in the jungle, where Grigor insulted Paroni and Alfred assessed the strength of Sifa's crew.
  • Alfred outlined the plan: his force would draw away rebel soldiers while Sifa's team stormed the headquarters and targeted the Rose School members.
  • Sifa led his team through the jungle, using Kardashian to scout and discreetly strengthening the weapons of his soldiers.
  • Gunfire and explosions from Alfred's attack drew rebel soldiers away and signaled Sifa's team to advance.
  • Sifa's team reached the headquarters, and Mr. X hurled a cluster of fireballs that exploded around its perimeter.

Ch. 759I Have What You Don’t

Chapter Summary: “I Have What You Don’t”

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Sifa’s bombardment severely damages the rebel headquarters, collapsing nearby buildings and tree structures. Many rebel soldiers are trapped or killed.
  • After handing Mr. X over to Kardashian’s projection, Sifa focuses on suppressing the surviving rebels with swarms of explosive Fire Crows.
  • Mr. X uses an Ancient Hermes declaration—“Possession is forbidden here”—to create a mystical restriction that prevents Lydon from using his Wraith possession ability.
  • Lydon orders the Rose School members to hold formation and defend the rebel soldiers rather than recklessly attack.
  • Greya supports the defensive line with Zombies, Ghosts, and revived corpses. However, Kardashian’s projection captures or neutralizes the Ghosts entering Sifa’s camp.
  • Sifa’s naval soldiers, equipped with enhanced purification ammunition, destroy Greya’s Zombies and demolish the rebels’ defensive positions. Nelson’s steam rifle proves especially devastating.
  • Greya repeatedly revives corpses to replenish her Zombie forces, prolonging the battle.
  • To break the enemy’s formation, Sifa devises a psychological tactic with Nefi. Nefi insults Greya’s appearance and flat chest until Greya loses control and charges out of the defensive line.
  • Nefi meets Greya’s attack with magically created armor, shield, and sword. Although Greya’s strength knocks Nefi backward, Nefi remains unharmed and counterattacks by slashing Greya’s arm.
  • The chapter ends comedically when Lydon, already frustrated by Greya’s disobedience, is struck on the shoulder by bird droppings from a passing macaw.

Character Developments

  • Sifa: Demonstrates strategic thinking and battlefield control. Rather than relying on overwhelming mystical abilities or “Throw Item,” he combines Fire Crows, enhanced ammunition, psychological warfare, and coordinated forces to exploit the enemy’s weaknesses.
  • Kardashian’s projection: Reveals the power of a Gatekeeper by controlling or capturing Ghosts and suppressing supernatural abilities within Sifa’s camp, though its full capabilities remain concealed to avoid exposing Kardashian’s existence.
  • Mr. X: Functions as an important defensive asset, using his Arbiter authority to prevent possession and protect Sifa’s forces.
  • Lydon: Shows discipline and tactical awareness by ordering the Rose School members to maintain formation, but his authority is undermined by Greya’s emotional instability. His final humiliation adds comic relief.
  • Greya: Is portrayed as ruthless, cautious, and heavily dependent on Zombies and corpses. Despite Lydon’s orders, her deep insecurity about her appearance—especially her flat chest—makes her vulnerable to provocation and causes her to abandon the defensive line.
  • Nefi: Initially embarrassed by Sifa’s plan, she nevertheless carries it out bravely and effectively. Her light-based armor and weapons allow her to withstand Greya’s charge and launch a counterattack.
  • Nelson and the naval soldiers: Prove highly effective under Sifa’s enhancements, with their weapons capable of destroying Zombies, fortifications, and enemy troops.

Significant Themes

  • Strategy versus brute force: The battle is won through coordination, restrictions, psychological tactics, and superior preparation rather than raw power alone.
  • Mysticism surpassing technology: Sifa reflects that conventional weapons and summoned items are less reliable in a supernatural world, emphasizing the importance of mystical abilities and Sealed Artifacts.
  • Control and battlefield authority: Mr. X and Kardashian’s projection deny the enemy’s supernatural advantages, while Lydon struggles to control Greya’s impulses.
  • Exploitation of weaknesses: Sifa deliberately targets Greya’s insecurity, showing how emotional vulnerabilities can be as decisive as physical weaknesses.
  • Darkness mixed with humor: The destruction, corpses, and ruthless combat are contrasted with Nefi’s provocative insults and Lydon’s absurd humiliation by the macaw.

Character Interactions

  • Sifa and Nefi: Sifa privately instructs Nefi to provoke Greya; although embarrassed, Nefi trusts his judgment and follows through.
  • Nefi and Greya: Nefi’s insults trigger Greya’s rage, drawing her away from the defensive line and allowing Nefi to engage her directly.
  • Lydon and Greya: Lydon attempts to command Greya and restrain her aggression, but she ignores his warning and jeopardizes the formation.
  • Mr. X and Lydon: Mr. X’s declaration directly neutralizes Lydon’s intended possession attack.
  • Kardashian’s projection and Greya: The projection captures Greya’s Ghosts, cutting off her support and increasing her caution.
  • Lydon and the macaw: The final slapstick moment leaves Lydon with excrement on his shoulder, further puncturing the chapter’s tense battlefield atmosphere.

Ch. 760My Treat

Sifa shattered the rebels’ defensive line while fighting Lydon, then drew the attention of a Rose School Demigod who launched a sudden attack against him. The rebel forces were being cleared out, but the enemy Demigod had now revealed itself.

  • Lydon lost his temper and attacked Grigor, allowing Sifa to rush through the rebels’ line and bombard him with fireballs.
  • Sifa humiliated Lydon by dropping banknotes at his feet, then shot him in the head with Fallen Whisper when he charged.
  • Chik attacked a Rose School Werewolf while Mr. X’s Blinks and illusions further disrupted the rebels; Nelson and O'Neill led the navy soldiers in clearing them out.
  • Sifa prolonged his fight with Lydon, then used Conspiracy to conceal a Flame Spear and throw it at him.
  • A Rose School Demigod controlled nearby objects and Sifa’s clothes to attack him, but Sifa burned free, recognizing that the Demigod had entered the battle.
