Before he could raise his voice, strange shadows rose around the balcony like curtains, plunging it into darkness.

Porygon2's eyes sharpened, and brilliant white light burst from his body, as though he meant to tear through the darkness.
Then Unit Zero spoke again.
"Don't get so worked up. I won't hurt you, or anyone else, human or Pokémon. I'm a pacifist."
Porygon2 didn't believe a word of it. He vanished.
The next second, he appeared between Hydreigon and his trainer, dropping straight toward the latter's chest.
Thump!
A crisp impact rang out.
"Urgh!"
Baimu jolted awake from a dream in which he had been reviewing how to make the Nirvana Potion. His chest felt as if Hydreigon had struck it with Head Smash.
The moment he woke, every other Pokémon in the bedroom woke too.
"Hydrei?"
Hydreigon gave a confused cry. Then his nostrils twitched, and all three heads turned toward the window. His face twisted into a snarl as a deep growl rumbled out like thunder.
"Maw!"
Mawile, who was closest to the window, sprang up and pulled the curtains open. Pale moonlight flooded the dark bedroom, revealing the ghostly figure outside.
Baimu had already rolled out of bed and taken cover behind it, holding Galarian Corsola in one hand and Porygon2, who kept crying out, in the other.
His brows drew together.
"Unit Zero..."
That afternoon, he had wondered whether Dr. Akihabara had been fooled by this cunning Pokémon.
