Ch. 341Twin-Headed Meteors
Plot points and events
- Baimu stops Zweilous’s exhausting sprint training, emphasizing that growth requires balance, real battles, and patience.
- Wally returns Baimu’s aromatherapy spray, but Baimu tells him to keep it and invites him to battle. Their subsequent matches bring them closer; Wally wins slightly more often, largely thanks to his greater travel experience.
- Baimu discovers that Wally has a large reserve roster, whose Pokémon may help teach his team new moves. Wally readily agrees to help.
- Wally tells Baimu that a thief calling himself the “Phantom Thief Masked Man” has stolen several Shiny Pokémon and left a postcard. Wally is upset that the criminal is tarnishing the Masked Man’s name.
- During joint training, Talonflame helps Galarian Corsola learn Will-O-Wisp. Corsola succeeds after a burst of determination—apparently motivated less by inspiration than by wanting to escape Talonflame’s intense heat.
- Zweilous wants to learn Draco Meteor after seeing Wally’s Garchomp use it. Its first attempt produces Dragon Pulse instead. It then wonders how a Pokémon with two mouths should form the attack, leaving Baimu to help solve the problem.
Character developments and interactions
- Baimu shows growing knowledge of Pokémon training, but remains careful not to push his Pokémon too hard. He values learning from strong opponents more than simply winning and asks Wally for help despite some embarrassment.
- Wally becomes more comfortable and cheerful around Baimu. He admires Baimu’s determination, readily shares his Pokémon’s skills, and is encouraged by their friendship and battles. His cousin Aman is relieved to see him smiling and engaging with someone again.
- Zweilous is intensely eager to improve and compete, but its two-headed nature creates a practical obstacle in learning Draco Meteor.
- Galarian Corsola remains quiet and hard to motivate, yet acts decisively when something bothers it; its success brings out excitement in both it and Wally.
- Baimu and Wally’s growing friendship is reinforced through battling, training, and mutual encouragement.
Significant themes
- Patient, balanced growth: Trainers must temper their Pokémon’s eagerness and develop multiple abilities without overtraining.
- Learning through relationships: Battles and shared training help Pokémon improve while bringing Trainers closer.
- Individual approaches: Wally’s enthusiasm-based teaching works for his Pokémon, but Baimu recognizes that each Pokémon may need a method suited to it.
- Rediscovering purpose: Wally’s renewed sociability and confidence suggest that friendship, activity, and competition can help someone regain direction.
