Background / History

Chris first met Raye during childhood after confronting her for skipping Sonnet Yukine’s music class. Raye considered music inefficient without exceptional talent, but Chris’s parents explained that music existed to express feelings and help people understand one another. Chris recognized Raye’s emotional numbness and declared that she would become Raye’s friend. 232

Chris and Raye later shared a brief period of happiness, including a summer festival, games, food, and fireworks. Chris remembered that festival as the last time she could relax completely with someone she cared about. 179

As Chris grew older, she experienced separation, captivity, abuse, and repeated loss. Fine eventually became the person Chris trusted most, but used her compatibility with Relics for her own plans. Chris was ordered to activate Durandal and later served as Fine’s combat subordinate. 8 93

Chris’s first modern appearance comes during an attack on Raye’s mansion. Desperate to prove that she was Fine’s most dependable partner, she attacked Raye while wearing the Bronze Serpent Armor. Raye defeated her almost immediately with the Sky Striker and Widow Anchor. 5 6

Fine and Raye then placed Chris in an idol-training operation designed to increase her String Gain and stabilize her emotions. Chris hated singing and resisted becoming an idol, but gradually accepted the plan after Raye explained that it could support Chris’s goal of ending war. 10 11

While posing as “Christina,” Chris attended Lydian Music Academy and encountered ordinary classmates for the first time. She initially treated harmless social attention as a possible enemy ambush, but gradually experienced the appeal of school life and friendship. 18 19

Chris’s doubts about Raye intensified after learning that Raye’s past might be connected to the “Golden Flash,” a mysterious rescuer worshipped by Yumi Itaba’s fan club. She also learned that Raye had previously rescued Miku. 19 22

After Fine betrayed her and attempted to kill her, Chris fought alongside Hibiki and Tsubasa against Fine. She destroyed parts of Raye’s defensive system, returned Ame-no-Habakiri to Tsubasa, and helped the two Singers survive the battle. 93 94

Following Fine’s betrayal, Chris wandered alone while fighting Noise and struggling with abandonment. Raye secretly protected her after discovering that Fine intended to kill her. Raye eventually suggested that Chris join Second Division, and Genjuro accepted responsibility for the organization’s past failures toward her. 96 97

Chris later joined the wider S.O.N.G. effort. Although she continued to act hostile toward Hibiki and the others, she repeatedly fought beside them and gradually became part of their found family. 99 159

Chris is a white-haired girl who commonly wears red clothing or red-accented combat equipment. Her public disguise as “Christina” presents her as an aspiring idol, while her Demon Bow creates a distinctive red combat form.

Personality

Chris is aggressive, defensive, and easily embarrassed. She often responds to uncertainty with hostility, particularly when she fears being judged as weak or useless. Her need to prove herself to Fine initially leads her to challenge Raye recklessly, and later drives her to overtrain after comparing herself unfavorably with Hibiki. 6 92

Beneath her abrasive behavior, Chris is deeply loyal and sensitive to abandonment. She fears losing the few relationships she has formed and reacts strongly when she believes she is being discarded. Her concern for Raye eventually becomes strong enough to motivate her to investigate Raye’s past, oppose Fine, and pursue Raye’s rescue. 40 93 159
