Lin En survived the Chaos cultists with the help of Cecilia and Herix Ironhammer, then joined them to fight their way toward an escape from Istvaan III. After escaping the cultists’ cave and ambushing Greenskins at the exit, Lin En received another card draw for reaching one hundred kills.

• Lin En fled the Chaos cultists, gained the Thirty Days trait, and found shelter in an abandoned Hive City after stealing supplies from their camp.
• Lin En met Cecilia, proved he was not a Chaos Cultist, and joined her in searching for a way out of the caves.
• Lin En and Cecilia were cornered by cultists, so Lin En drew their pursuers away while Cecilia escaped to seek help.
• Lin En gained Danger Sense as he endured a fifteen-day chase, then Cecilia returned in crude Power Armor and rescued him.
• Lin En, Cecilia, and Herix Ironhammer formed a group and set out toward Ironhammer’s exploration station and ship, ambushing cultists and stealing supplies along the way.
• Lin En gained Stamina Enhancement near the cave exit, where the group found a Greenskin camp blocking their path.

Lin En survived alone on Istvaan III until Cecilia and Iron Hammer returned with Tyrennius, a Blood Angels Astartes, and the group discovered a Chaos ritual opening a Warp Rift. Tyrennius died defeating a Khorne Vanguard, but Blood Angels reinforcements arrived as Cecilia, Lin En, and Iron Hammer prepared to face the advancing daemons.

• Lin En drew Temporary Shield and fled with Cecilia and Iron Hammer as a vast horde of Chaos Cultists surrounded them, then ran toward the pursuers to draw them away from the Prospecting Station.
• Cecilia and Iron Hammer escaped the planet to seek reinforcements while Lin En hid in caves, rationed his supplies, and survived for weeks by tracking cultist patrols and fetching water from an underground river.
• Cecilia and Iron Hammer returned with Tyrennius, who fought through the cultists and rescued Lin En from his hiding place.
• Tyrennius found evidence of a large Chaos ritual and led Cecilia, Iron Hammer, and Lin En toward the cultists’ lair, where Lin En detected enemies and the group discovered a Warp Rift opening above the altar.
• A Chaos Spawn attacked Tyrennius, and Lin En enchanted Iron Hammer’s repaired Chainsword with Weapon Enchantment (Against Demons), allowing Tyrennius to destroy it and charge the cultist defenses.
• The cultists’ leaders sacrificed themselves to widen the rift, and a Skull Vanguard emerged and badly wounded Tyrennius despite his enchanted weapon.
• Lin En guided Cecilia, Iron Hammer, and Tyrennius through the tunnels as they retreated, but Tyrennius stayed behind to hold off the Khorne Vanguard and killed it before dying from its axe wounds.
• Cecilia prepared to defend the shelter while Lin En and Iron Hammer readied themselves, then dozens of Blood Angels and a Dreadnought descended into the Hive City and attacked the daemons and cultists.

After Tyrennius’s death, Lin En, Cecilia, and Iron Hammer enlisted in the Baal Guard and deployed to Mezoa, where Lin En’s powers helped the 0825th Regiment defeat the Orks. The regiment then redeployed to Pollia, where Lin En found a far larger Greenskin invasion and Imperial reinforcements gathering.

• The Blood Angels honored Tyrennius and carried his remains to Baal, while Lin En vowed to become stronger as Istvaan III burned.
• The Inquisition questioned Lin En, Iron Hammer, and Cecilia, then allowed Cecilia to remain in the Imperium under observation after a Blood Angels captain vouched for her.
• Lin En, Cecilia, and Iron Hammer enlisted in the Baal Guard and were assigned to the 0825th Regiment on Mezoa.
• Lin En received new system traits, including Purification Aura and Emperor’s Gaze, while deciding to stay with the Guard Army alongside Cecilia and Iron Hammer.

Lin En revealed his healing power on Pollia, drawing the attention of the Inquisition and Ultramarines before Guilliman’s order transferred him to the Ultramarines. After surviving Captain Autolo’s betrayal and joining the Third Company as a Chaplain, Lin En reached Macragge as the Behemoth Hive Fleet began its assault.

• Lin En fused Group Healing with Emperor’s Gaze to heal and empower the 0825th Regiment, helping it defeat the Greenskins and attracting reports from the Ultramarines, Blood Angels, and Inquisition.
• Inquisitor Valens tested soldiers exposed to Lin En’s Golden Light, found no corruption, and met Lin En before Guilliman’s transfer order assigned him to the Ultramarines campaign against the Tyranids.
• Lin En left Cecilia and Iron Hammer, boarded the Macragge’s Honour, and persuaded the system to warn him if Leviathan approached Baal.
• Captain Autolo trapped Lin En in a poison chamber and fled, but Lin En survived, tracked him through the ship, and exposed him as a traitor with Emperor’s Gaze.
• The Macragge’s Honour reached the Macragge System, where Lin En met Calgar and chose to serve with the Third Company despite the danger of the Tyranid front.
• Lin En joined the Third Company as a second Chaplain, received his equipment, and set out with Fabian as the Behemoth Hive Fleet arrived over Macragge.
• Lin En watched the Third Company’s Thunderhawk climb into orbit as Tyranid ships attacked Macragge’s defenses and a merchant vessel rammed and destroyed a parasite mother ship.
