Xignos was a powerful supernatural creature of the Southern Great Wilderness Swamp in the Lorenzo Kingdom. It was originally a large snake of low intelligence, with ordinary adults growing over twenty meters long. It did not become a supernatural creature until it devoured a human virgin, whereupon it would undergo a transformation, grow an extra head, and gradually develop the upper body of a human woman. It would inherit the devoured person's intelligence, begin awakening supernatural abilities, and become a true supernatural creature.

What Green had captured this time was a six-headed Xignos that, after dying, had somehow retained its soul rather than dispersing, which had then split into six independent spirits.

"Her individual combat strength is inferior to Maxim's, yet she costs more than twice as much. Is it because she has the potential to merge and evolve into a Corpse Witch?" Green muttered to himself. He was somewhat disappointed by the combat strength of the six Xignos sisters, but he still held out hope. If he gathered all six and found a corpse, he could obtain a powerful six-headed Xignos Corpse Witch. That would absolutely be a guaranteed profitable deal.

One had to know that a six-headed Xignos was second only to the legendary dragons. Its enormous, formidable physical strength, coupled with the human heads on its six branches each mastering magic of a different element, firmly placed its strength at the Archmage level. Even after death, when it became a Corpse Witch and its strength declined, it would still be Advanced Formal.

Unfortunately, Green was fantasizing too soon. He had only just captured one of the Six Witches of Xignos, and gathering them all would be far from easy.

A moment later, the Psychic Energy in the Graveyard had completely assimilated it, and Green summoned her out.

The Xignos Banshee, now transformed into a Graveyard Evil Spirit, appeared as a translucent spirit. She wore an elegant long dress, her long hair draped around her waist, and was exceptionally beautiful. Unlike Maxim, this Xignos Banshee had retained her ability to think and part of her memories. Upon seeing Green, she was slightly afraid, yet she still bowed. Her spirit vibrated, producing a voice like that of a little girl. "Hello, my master. Holly is at your service."

"Oh? Your name is Holly? Then tell me about your other sisters." Green was rather surprised. This was the first time he had encountered an undead creature from the Graveyard that could speak with him. On that point alone, the Xignos Banshee stood a whole level above Maxim.

"Yes, Master." Holly showed no resistance and began recounting, "They are Rota, Hill, Nancy, Lily, and Talaga. Rota is the eldest sister. She was the first to be devoured by Snake Mother and had once been a female swordswoman. Since she appeared first, she is very powerful. Hill is a coward. Nancy and Lily are twins. Talaga is the youngest, but she is the strongest. She killed everyone. We originally did not want to kill anyone, but Mr. Caspar said it was Lord Akalusi's order—to have everyone in this castle slowly die one by one over ten days, steeped in strange terror... We had to obey Lord Akalusi's orders."

"Mr. Caspar! Lord Akalusi! Who are they?" This was the first time Green had heard those two names.

Holly hurriedly explained who the two were, and only then did Green learn that the organization targeting Wilson Castle was called Blood Eye.

Unlike the Tower of Yin Spirits, that lowly cult, Blood Eye was a genuine supernatural organization hidden in the darkness. Its number one figure, the Blood Knight Akalusi, and its number two figure, Bloody Undead Martinez, were both Formal Rank supernatural beings. The man named Snett Caspar was Blood Eye's chief steward, responsible for its daily operations and development.

Blood Eye did not actually have many members, but it kept quite a few nonhuman supernatural beings and strange entities like the Six Witches. Controlled by Akalusi, they came and went like ghosts and were extremely difficult to deal with. However, Blood Eye was not the sole dominant force in the Northwest Province. It had a formidable rival: the Void Club. This was likewise an organization with Formal Rank supernatural beings, but it was stronger and larger, and had suppressed Blood Eye for the past several decades.

This was the first time Green had heard the names Blood Eye and Void Club, as well as the titles Blood Knight Akalusi and Bloody Undead Martinez.

Moreover, Blood Eye's leader, the Blood Knight Akalusi, had actually set his sights on the Wilson Family. Fortunately, that fellow had some perverse taste for amusement and had ordered the Six Witches not to slaughter everyone in one go. Otherwise, there would not be a living person left in Wilson Castle by now.

Having obtained this information, Green went to see Viscount Paul again.

By then, Steward Laurence had already returned ahead of them. Viscount Paul and Vincent wore even grimmer expressions, especially Viscount Paul. His brows were knotted into a deep furrow. When he saw Green enter, he could not even stop himself from rising, knocking against the solid wooden chair beneath him and producing a shrill scraping sound.

Yet that sound instead jolted Viscount Paul awake and calmed him down. He took a deep breath and asked as evenly as possible, "Green, how is the situation?"

Green did not conceal anything. He roughly explained the situation with the Six Witches and Blood Eye, but hid the fact that he had subdued Holly.

"Blood Eye!" Viscount Paul's expression became even uglier after hearing this. He clearly knew of Blood Eye's existence and what it meant, but he still clung to one final shred of luck. Looking at Green, he asked again, "Is this information accurate? I mean..."

Viscount Paul had instinctively wanted to ask where the information had come from, but halfway through, he suddenly realized it was inappropriate. Green's status was no longer what it had been. It would not be an exaggeration to call him the Wilson Family's only lifeline. Viscount Paul no longer had the standing to question what Green did not wish to reveal.

Realizing this, Viscount Paul sighed inwardly. Fortunately, he had lived to such an age and had long grown accustomed to strength deciding everything. He adjusted his mindset quickly, did not feel embarrassed, and simply stopped asking.

Just then, a rapid knocking sounded outside the study. A panicked male servant rushed in, panting heavily, terror written across his face. He opened his mouth, but he was breathing too hard to get any words out.

Viscount Paul asked grimly, "What happened? Speak slowly!"

The male servant sucked in several quick breaths and said urgently, "Reporting—reporting, my lord, Old Nante and Xihado from the stables have disappeared. They very—very likely have already... already been killed!"

"What! Someone else..." Vincent could not help crying out. Although he had expected that, with the strange entity not yet eliminated, more people would surely die, it was still hard to accept that new victims had appeared so quickly.

Green narrowed his eyes as well. He had thought that after capturing Holly, the other Xignos witches would lower their banners and quiet their drums for a while. It seemed he had been wrong. Were they provoking him? Still, that was fine. If they had cowered away, Green truly would have had no way to drag them out one by one. Since they still dared to show themselves, he had a chance to catch them all in one net.
