Meanwhile, above the East Sea, on Yingzhou Immortal Island.

At the center of the immortal island, the Daoist attendants had arranged a plaza. Li Yi sat high upon a jade platform in its center.

Unlike Purple Cloud Palace, which had only two thousand attendees, this place had already gathered over ten thousand cultivators.

Most were Golden Immortals, with a smaller number of Supreme Unity Golden Immortals. Fewer than a thousand were Great Firmament Golden Immortals.

Of course, Li Yi remained perfectly calm. This time, he had not expected to gain any great Merit from expounding the Dao.

If he could draw those Heavenly Dao Sages here and have them acknowledge him as their master, that would naturally be best. But even if they did not come, he had the means to create Heavenly Dao Sages himself!

"The three-thousand-year period has arrived. Today, I shall expound the Dao for everyone and speak of the Golden Immortal to Great Firmament Dao!"

The Great Firmament Dao he spoke of was the Great Firmament path most suited to the living beings of the Primordial World, which he had deduced from his current perspective. It was not his own Law Dao.

He was a Chaos Demon God, born with an innate talent for the Heaven and Earth Law. If he explained his own Law Dao, perhaps not a single person present would understand it.

At these words, everyone's eyes flashed with delight, including even those Great Firmament Golden Immortals.

The two did not deliberately push their way toward the front. They simply sat cross-legged at the edge and carefully listened to Li Yi's explanation of the Sage Dao.

Within Purple Cloud Palace, three thousand years had passed.

Hongjun withdrew his Dao voice, and the phenomena in the air slowly faded away.

Among those present, most of the Daoists who had listened were already drowsy. Some, especially members of the Witch Tribe, had left only a few days after the lecture began.

Though a small number had persisted until the end, it was only after Hongjun closed his mouth that they belatedly realized the lecture was over.

It was like attending a class in later generations: once they failed to follow a certain point, everything afterward sounded like an incomprehensible heavenly tome. If Hongjun had not stopped speaking, they would not even have known he was finished.

At the head of the crowd, Jieyin and Zhunti looked at each other, each seeing the confusion in the other's eyes.

Among everyone present, only Laozi and Yuanshi of the Three Pure Ones had gained considerable enlightenment.

Hongjun naturally saw the bewildered state of the crowd, but he did not care. He felt that he had already explained things simply enough. If they still could not understand, then they lacked comprehension; saying more would be useless!

"After three assemblies, I shall expound the Dao again within Purple Cloud Palace."

"The next lecture shall concern the Quasi-Saint Dao!"

One after another, they rose and respectfully bowed to Hongjun.

"Thank you, Teacher, for imparting the Dao!"

After paying their respects, everyone departed.

Laozi and Yuanshi walked through the chaos qi, both wearing faintly delighted expressions.

"How much did Second Brother gain from this lecture?"

A smile appeared at the corners of Yuanshi's lips, though he still spoke with feigned calmness.

"I have already comprehended the path to the Late Great Firmament Golden Immortal realm!"

But on this day, just as Li Yi finished explaining all his insights into the Great Firmament Dao, a terrifying force of the Great Firmament erupted from a black-robed Daoist below.

Li Yi had already finished expounding the Dao, so he casually protected the Golden Immortals and Supreme Unity cultivators around him.

As spiritual energy surged across the immortal island, signs of a breakthrough appeared around Tongtian as well. The immortals on the island all cast envious looks his way.

At the same time, at the edge of the Dao field, Nuwa closed her phoenix eyes as well. The island's innate spiritual qi crazily poured into her body as she began breaking through toward the Late Great Firmament Golden Immortal realm.

"Thank you, Teacher, for imparting the Dao."

The Dao he taught might not necessarily have been more profound than Hongjun's, but he and Hongjun were both Chaos Demon Gods, their origins extraordinarily extraordinary.
