Key plot points and events
- In a powerless, darkened city, Yu Yuan breaks into No. 68, searching for Mona, the woman identified by a beauty mark.
- He hears a faint noise in the basement and finds Fedmon assaulting the bound Mona. Yu Yuan shoots him with a crossbow and kills him with his Kukri.
- The basement reveals the murdered family: Mona’s husband has been tortured and hanged, and her child drowned in a paint bucket. Mona is gravely wounded but alive.
- Yu Yuan gathers valuable tools, construction materials, electrical supplies, and car parts from the basement, house, and garage, listing much of it for trade. He cannot take everything and plans to return later.
