Before long, Li Xun lowered his hand.

Tang San hurried forward, his brow furrowed with concern. "Brother Xun, are you all right? Did those memories flooding in hurt you?"

Li Xun slowly took his hand from his head. The pain on his face eased a little, and he shook his head. "I'm fine. They were just scattered fragments of memory. They didn't harm me."

He glanced at Tang Hao without a word.

Tang Hao understood at once. His formidable Soul Power spread silently, and a dense, soundless barrier enveloped the entire backyard. It blocked all attempts to probe them from outside and made eavesdropping impossible.

Once it was in place, he said in a deep voice, "I've sealed this place with my Soul Power. No one outside can hear us. Say whatever you need to say."

Tang San and Xiao Wu watched Li Xun curiously.

Li Xun gave a light cough and asked calmly, "Uncle Hao, Tang San, Xiao Wu, have you ever heard of Immortal Herbs?"

"Immortal Herbs?"

Tang San's pupils contracted. Shock filled his face as he rushed forward and gripped Li Xun's wrist, his voice trembling with excitement. "Brother Xun, do you know where to find Immortal Herbs?"

Tang Hao and Xiao Wu exchanged a glance. Both looked bewildered as they turned to Li Xun and Tang San and asked in unison, "What exactly are Immortal Herbs?"

Li Xun turned slightly toward Tang San and tipped up his chin. "Tang San, explain them."

Tang San steadied himself, suppressed his excitement, and began.

"Immortal Herbs are rare plants born of heaven and earth, nourished by the essence of the sun and moon. They're exceptionally scarce. Each contains immense vitality and the essence of heaven and earth. Some can temper the body and cleanse the marrow, remaking a person's physical foundation. Others can nourish the soul and help someone break through a bottleneck. Some can even transform a person completely and heal stubborn old injuries."

Tang San's eyes burned with anticipation. "Many Immortal Herbs can't be bought at any price. Even a Titled Douluo might never obtain one. If we could gather several, they'd work wonders for both healing and cultivation breakthroughs."

Xiao Wu's eyes widened in amazement.

Tang Hao raised an eyebrow, a trace of emotion crossing his dark face. He looked at Li Xun. "Li Xun, do you know where there are Immortal Herbs?"

Under their three eager gazes, Li Xun feigned a dazed look, as though the Heavenly Screen had only just forced the memories into his mind.

"The fragments the Heavenly Screen put in my head just now described a place called the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well."

He lowered his voice. "It's a secluded valley rich in the earth's energy, where rare Immortal Herbs grow everywhere."

Tang San's breath caught. He leaned forward slightly, unable to contain his excitement. "The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well? Brother Xun, where is it?"

After a moment's thought, Li Xun gave them the location. "Deep in Sunset Forest, in a valley shrouded year-round by mist and a poison formation. An ordinary soul master passing through would take it for unremarkable woodland and never discover the valley's secret."

Tang San could no longer hold back. His eyes lit up, and he stepped forward.

"Then what are we waiting for? Dad, Brother Xun, let's go now!"

The promise of Immortal Herbs was right before them. They could heal Tang Hao's long-standing injuries and help everyone advance in cultivation. Tang San did not want to waste another moment.

Tang Hao's expression turned solemn. He nodded firmly, without the slightest hesitation.

"All right."

A surge of dark, powerful Soul Power swept out and wrapped around Tang San and Li Xun. Xiao Wu was about to follow when Tang Hao said, "Xiao Wu, stay here and watch the house. We'll be back soon."

With that, the air beneath Tang Hao's feet shuddered. He shot into the sky with the other two, streaking toward Sunset Forest like a black flash.

Xiao Wu pouted, plainly unhappy.

But Tang Hao had already carried them far away. Only a fleeting black glimmer remained before it vanished beyond the horizon.

She gazed in the direction they had gone and sighed softly. All she could do was stay at the house and wait for them to return.

Sunset Forest.

They had set out that morning and traveled at full speed. By the time dusk fell, they finally reached their destination.

Night blanketed the vast forest. The woods were dark and still, broken only by the occasional low call of a nocturnal beast.

One tall figure and two smaller ones moved soundlessly through the trees.

Tang Hao led Li Xun and Tang San to a sheer cliff. Gripping each of them by the shoulder, he released Soul Power beneath his feet and bounded up the jagged rock face as though it were level ground.

Moments later, the three reached the top.

At the edge of the summit, the sight before them shook both Tang San and Li Xun. Below lay an enormous, inverted-cone hollow. The peak where they stood formed part of the valley's outer rim.

Waves of warm, damp white vapor rose from the bottom of the hollow. Moisture filled the air, along with a faint scent of sulfur.

"This should be it," Li Xun said gravely. "Uncle Hao, be careful down there. This is Poison Douluo Dugu Bo's territory. He may well be in the valley."

Tang Hao gave a proud smile, dark Soul Power stirring faintly around him. "Don't worry. I can subdue a mere Poison Douluo in a few blows."

"There's no need to fight him. Just show enough strength to deter him." Li Xun shook his head. "I know what to say to persuade Dugu Bo to work with us."

"If you have a plan, we'll do it your way." Tang Hao seemed unconcerned.

As soon as he finished speaking, he grabbed one in each hand and leaped down into the valley, his Soul Power supporting them as they descended.

The three landed steadily on the valley floor and turned toward its depths at the same time.

A hot spring pool came into view. It was not especially large, yet it was divided into two distinct halves. On one side lay milky-white, gentle spring water; on the other, a vivid crimson spring that looked like liquid fire. Though they shared the same oval pool, the two waters remained sharply separated, neither mingling with the other.

Billowing white mist rose continuously from where the two springs met. It drifted upward until it reached the opening above the hollow, then slowly dissolved into the night.

Tang San stared at the spectacle, his body trembling despite himself. His breathing quickened, and undisguised fervor and excitement filled his eyes.

"Dad, Brother Xun... this is it!"

His voice shook slightly as he spoke the name.

"This is the legendary treasure trove—the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well!"
