Background and History

Li Xun arrived on Douluo Continent from a modern world after accepting a system’s offer to transmigrate. The system disappeared almost immediately, saying it had chosen the wrong person. Raised in Holy Soul Village by Li Hu and Shui Yuerou, he befriended Tang San and regularly invited him to eat with his family 1 12.

The Heavenly Screen exposed Li Xun’s possible future before his martial-soul awakening. Tang Hao then awakened his martial souls himself. Li Xun trained with Tang San and Xiao Wu, later using Whale Rubber and rare herbs to strengthen his body before taking an unusually old second soul ring 3 34 35 50 54. When Qian Renxue approached him disguised as Crown Prince Xue Qinghe, he recognized her identity from memories received after the screen vanished. He joined Spirit Hall because she asked him personally 88 89. Six years later, he entered Heaven Dou Royal Academy to pursue the Continental Advanced Soul Master Tournament rather than remain hidden from factions seeking him 91 92.

The screen’s account of his later life says he and Tang San helped stop Bibi Dong’s attempt to unite the continent. After Li Hu died following mistreatment by nobles, Li Xun killed many noble leaders while pursuing a world without inherited privilege. His methods brought him into conflict with Tang San and Qian Renxue; their battle ended in an appeal to his ideals and their personal bonds 2 4 9 11. In that future, he eventually withdrew from public life to research technology, compose music and raise his children with Qian Renxue 2 13.

Personality

Li Xun is playful with family and friends, but cautious when public attention could put them at risk. He refuses conventional schooling while the Heavenly Screen has made him and Tang San targets, yet later decides he cannot hide indefinitely if he wants to compete in the tournament 12 19 35 91.

He trusts Tang San with the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well’s herbs, accepts dangerous cultivation opportunities on his advice, and takes care in distributing later gifts so they do not cause resentment among friends 50 52 96. The future screen also shows a harsher side: his commitment to equality survives his friends’ opposition, though seeing them gravely wounded breaks his murderous resolve long enough for him to heal them 4 5 9.
