Background / History

Tang San grew up in Holy Soul Village with his father, Tang Hao. He practiced the Purple Demon Eyes before dawn and was already proficient in Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track. His friendship with fellow transmigrator Li Xun was close, though Tang San did not share the Mysterious Heaven Skill with him 1.

After the Heavenly Screen exposed their possible futures, Tang Hao awakened both boys’ Martial Souls himself. Tang San openly revealed Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer, prompting an emotional embrace from his father. Tang Hao then arranged for their families to leave the village before interested factions could find them 3.

Tang San later rejected Yu Xiaogang’s attempt to recruit him and objected to his recommendation of a venomous Mandala Snake ring for Blue Silver Grass. With Tang Hao helping to find suitable soul beasts, Tang San instead developed his first Martial Soul toward control and healing 20 21 55.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Li Xun entrusted Tang San with choosing how to use its Immortal Herbs. Tang San selected herbs for his father and himself, while giving Li Xun the chance to temper his body in the spring’s opposing ice and fire. Tang San’s own herbs brought him to the threshold of level 20 50 51 52. Years later, he entered Heaven Dou Royal Academy alongside Li Xun and Xiao Wu 91 92.

Tang San is disciplined in his training and attentive to the people close to him. He frees Xiao Wu when Tang Hao brings her to their hotel bound, then reassures her that she is safe. He also worries about Li Xun during dangerous cultivation and chooses an unusually valuable body-tempering opportunity for him 1 31 50 54 84.

He is competitive without dismissing Li Xun’s strength. After Li Xun absorbs a powerful second ring, Tang San resolves to achieve a thousand-year ring himself; later spars leave him both frustrated and impressed by Li Xun’s sword techniques 54 75 79.
