"This man was no pushover," Cao Dezhi said gravely. Zang Xin nodded. This trip would not be as easy as they had hoped.
Across from them, Cai Yue'er's face had turned livid.
White Da alone had been enough to vex her. She had no idea how strong he was, but he had challenged her the moment he arrived. He clearly thought she was an easy target, and it infuriated her.
Now two more people had arrived: Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi.
Shrek and the Tang Sect had always been allies. Why had they come to challenge Shrek?
And they seemed to be looking at her too.
They were here to challenge her as well. Did everyone think she was an easy target? The worst part was that she really couldn't beat them.
Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi were both Demigods, not Quasi-Gods. But what made it hopeless was that they were the same age as her. A level ninety-six fighter against a Demigod? She would certainly die!
Sure enough, Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi glanced at White Da, then turned to Cai Yue'er.
Zang Xin pointed at her and called her out:
"I'm Zang Xin of the Tang Sect and Shrek. I challenge Cai Yue'er of Shrek Academy."
The two men issued their challenges separately.
Seeing this, Yun Ming immediately called the Cao Dezhi of this world. The call connected quickly.
Far away with the Blood God Legion, Cao Dezhi already knew why Yun Ming was calling.
"I've seen it on the Heavenly Screen.
"Those two aren't us. They're versions of us from another world. You're on your own." With that, Cao Dezhi ended the call.
Yun Ming's face turned livid.
The other factions had finally made their move against them.
His overwhelming strength could protect the academy from people in this world, but it couldn't stop people from other worlds coming through the portals to challenge them.
And those two weren't the only problem. This White Da was not to be underestimated either. His aura was unfathomable.
All three appeared to be here for Cai Yue'er. This was trouble.
At that moment, the Baby Dragon statue detected that several people had challenged the same person. It lit up and issued a cold announcement:
[Three people have challenged the same person. The challenged party must choose an opponent.]
Cai Yue'er's face was ashen.
There were three challengers. One was White Da, from another world and an academy called "I'm Not Shrek Academy" that she had never even heard of. The other two were Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi, Demigods her own age whom she knew. The choice was obvious.
Cai Yue'er took a deep breath, gritted her teeth, and said:
"I choose White Da." She felt a surge of relief. Thank goodness White Da had shown up. An academy she had never heard of couldn't possibly have anyone truly powerful. He was probably just here to take advantage of the chaos. She could swat him down.
Once someone had been challenged, there was a full month-long cooldown before they could be challenged again. Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi would surely challenge someone else right away to obtain a Divine Examination. Then she would be safe.
White Da had really "done her a favor."
Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi weren't surprised by her choice, only disappointed. The easy target was gone, so they would have to find others.
Beneath the black robe that covered him from head to toe, White Da smiled when he heard Cai Yue'er choose him.
The Life-and-Death Arena activated, instantly transporting them both onto the stage. White Da and Cai Yue'er stood facing each other.
This time, the Life-and-Death Arena's Judgment did not reduce them to the same age. It suppressed their cultivation instead.
Cai Yue'er felt no change in herself, which meant it was her opponent who had been affected. Unfortunately, he was wrapped up so tightly she couldn't see a thing.
But now that they were both level ninety-six, her Innate Full Soul Power and powerful Martial Soul would ensure White Da's death.
Di Tian, meanwhile, couldn't help marveling as he felt his strength suppressed to level ninety-six. The Life-and-Death Arena truly was extraordinary. Its power over the rules was absolute. Even if he were about to die, he could not unleash the slightest bit of power beyond that level. It guaranteed a fair fight.
White Da was none other than the Beast God, Di Tian.
Ever since he had killed Long Yeyue and taken the Golden Dragon King's dragon scales, Dragon Horns, and Dragon Claws, Di Tian had been making preparations in secret.
When he noticed what the humans were doing, he founded an academy of his own. He called it "I'm Not Shrek Academy" and made himself its headmaster.
He then recruited students and teachers. Every Ferocious Beast knew about it except Gu Yuena, whom he had kept in the dark. He brought all the others into the academy as teachers.
Xiong Jun, Scarlet King, the Myriad Demon King, Bi Ji, and Zi JI—he left no one out.
Of course, the whole thing remained secret. Everyone had sworn a soul oath never to tell Master.
After all, Master was wholly intent on becoming human and understanding humanity. She was so absorbed in her art that she could not pull herself away.
Di Tian didn't dare tell the Silver Dragon King. He feared she would ruin his plan.
So they had to operate in secret, and he only dared challenge people from other worlds under a hidden identity.
That was how he came to be here. Disguised as White Da, he had concealed his identity and traveled through a portal to another world to claim a Divine Examination.
Although the Divine Examination had suppressed Di Tian to level ninety-six, he had spent the past month fully absorbing the Golden Dragon King's pair of Dragon Horns. His Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King bloodline had been thoroughly refined, turning him into a Golden-Horned, Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King.
His body had grown considerably stronger and his power had surged. Even suppressed to level ninety-six, he was unrivaled in physical strength.
On the stage, Cai Yue'er made the first move.
She couldn't see through White Da, but she could sense that his cultivation had been suppressed to her level.
She was going to win. The advantage was hers.
Cai Yue'er struck first.
Nine Spirit Rings—six black and three red—rose beneath her feet. Her Silver Moon Martial Soul slowly formed above her palm, taking the shape of a crescent that shed a cold silver glow. The pressure of an assault-type Super Douluo locked firmly onto Di Tian.
"Die! First Soul Skill: Silver Moon Slash!"
She flicked the crescent in her hand, sending a blade of moonlight whistling straight for Di Tian's throat.
The white blade was fast and vicious, striking from a treacherous angle.
If it landed, it could tear straight through two-word Battle Armor.
Di Tian showed no reaction.
He didn't even move. He simply let the blade of moonlight slash toward him.
Cai Yue'er was delighted.
Hmph. Scared stiff?
You dared challenge me with so little strength? You must have a death wish.
But in the next instant, the smile vanished from Cai Yue'er's face.
The blade of moonlight struck Di Tian squarely across the throat. Clang! A sharp metallic ring sounded.
Her attack bounced straight off his throat without leaving so much as a mark.
Cai Yue'er was dumbstruck.
"What?
"How is that possible?
"My Moonlight Slash can pierce armor! It can even tear through Battle Armor. How could it fail to break your skin?"
Di Tian answered her with a scornful laugh.
"That's it?"
