Dragon God’s Ten Trials

• Central testing ground: Lin Yuan designates Shrek as the examination’s center because it gathers the continent’s young talents. Its students, teachers, staff, and graduates are eligible for trials determined by Innate Soul Power 2 3 6.
• Contested treasures: Lin Yuan sends Golden Dragon King horns, scales, and claws to the academy. His announcement also names treasures he has not actually sent, drawing major factions to Shrek to demand a share 2 5 6.
• Danger to candidates: Participants can kill others to inherit their examination gains. Shrek’s trial holders consequently become targets for factions seeking a path to godhood 2 32 34.
• Cross-world examination: Shrek Academies in other Douluo worlds are admitted. Baby Dragon statues connect participating academies and enable Life-and-Death Arena challenges 28 34 35.

History

The treasure dispute and shell attack

After the Heavenly Screen announces the trials, Shrek’s leaders discover that the most valuable advertised treasures are missing. Long Yeyue suspects fellow elders of hiding them, while Yun Ming urges the academy to prepare for the examination. Representatives from across the continent then arrive to negotiate over the materials. Long Yeyue rejects a proposal to divide them and strikes the Federation’s negotiator, worsening the confrontation 5 6.

Qian Gu Dongfeng obtains two Level-Twelve God-Slaying Soul Guidance Shells through a deliberately exposed Federation armory and supplies them to the Holy Spirit Cult. The first shell devastates Shrek Academy and Shrek City, but the Blue Silver Emperor shields every teacher and student. A second shell overwhelms the defenders: the Blue Silver Emperor dies, and Yun Ming’s final shield preserves the Sea God Pavilion and its elders while countless teachers and students outside it are killed 7 8 9 11.

Rebuilding and further losses

Shrek rebuilds within a month, though the new academy is less impressive than the original. Yun Ming has also been resurrected through Ya Li’s expenditure of Power of Faith. The rebuilt academy accepts Gangzi as its founder Yu Xiaogang after his Martial Soul, family records, and memorial plaque support his claim; he takes the vacant post of deputy Pavilion Master 31 34.

The trials bring another series of fatal challenges. By Chapter 41, Yun Ming, Cai Yue’er, Lan Muzi, Tang Yinmeng, and Zhuo Shi are among the dead, and the academy is described as existing in name only 39 41.

Other Shrek Academies

• Parallel-world academies: Separate academies bearing the unmodified name Shrek Academy are led by Flender, Xuan Zi, and Ling Zichen. Their appearance initially stalls Lin Yuan’s attempt to launch the examination 27.
• Newly named academies: Numerous factions add “Shrek” to their academy names, including the Holy Spirit Cult and Spirit Pagoda. Lin Yuan permits these academies to compete for recognition as the legitimate Shrek but does not automatically grant their members individual examinations 8 27 28.
• Myriad Realms Shrek Academy: A small academy inherited and led by Lin Yuan. It has its own Baby Dragon statue and participants, including four holders of Red-Level Nine Trials by Chapter 50 29 50.
