Rongrong's father, Ning Fengzhi, and the sect's Sword and Bone Douluo dote on her. When Fengzhi and Chen Xin miss her seventh birthday to bring Ning Wen to the sect, she blames the newcomer and confronts him. She discovers she can hear the insulting Voice Pack associated with Ning Wen, but an unexplained force prevents her from telling anyone about it 2 3 4.

After hearing the Voice Pack's claims about a disastrous future, Fengzhi resolves to curb Rongrong's spoiled behavior. She protests her etiquette lessons with a hunger strike, then resumes eating to spite the voice she believes wants to see her suffer. Tang Yuehua teaches her etiquette and the arts of tea, flower arrangement, and music; Fengzhi also adds Martial Soul Theory and cultivation to her schedule 9 19 21 25 33.

Years later, Rongrong suggests that Ning Wen, Xiao Wu, and Dugu Yan visit Shrek Academy in Suotuo City. At its entrance test, she publicly reveals her evolved pagoda, level-42 Soul Power, and Ten-Thousand-Year fourth ring. She later joins the group on a Soul Ring hunt in the Great Star Dou Forest 76 80 93.

Her training gives her more composure without erasing her playful streak. She restrains a tantrum after remembering Tang Yuehua's punishments, yet later encourages a spar between Xiao Wu and Dugu Yan and enjoys the attention her Shrek entrance test attracts 28 75 80.
