Background and History

Tang Wulin is Chen Xing's younger brother; both were adopted by Tang Ziran and Lang Yue 6 15. As a child, he takes extra time at the academy to learn meditation and Martial Soul use, then shares his lessons with Chen Xing. When Chen Xing brings the homeless Na'er into the household, Wulin immediately welcomes her as a little sister 6.

He learns forging from Mang Tian for more than six years and is close to Level 4 Blacksmith status when Chen Xing introduces him to Zhen Hua and Mu Ye. The two agree to teach him together: Zhen Hua oversees his forging, while Mu Ye trains his body and cultivation 26 27. Under Mu Ye, Wulin's Blue Silver Grass evolves into the Blue Silver Emperor 28.

Wulin later accompanies Chen Xing to Shrek Academy, where Chen Xing helps him obtain his fourth soul ring from the Golden Ancient Tree 44 46. Before Shrek City is destroyed, Wulin draws the tree's Life Core into his chest and escapes with Chen Xing 54. Shaken by the destruction, he nevertheless helps rescue Ya Li and other survivors from Holy Spirit Cult pursuers 54 55.

Appearance

Wulin has short blue-black hair as a boy. After his Martial Soul evolves, he is taller and leaner, with darker skin, more defined features, and short hair the color of Blue Silver Grass 26 28.

Personality

Wulin is affectionate and generous with his family. He remembers Chen Xing's wish for a Storage Soul Tool years later and offers him a bracelet given by Mang Tian 21. He readily trusts Chen Xing's guidance, though the violence at Dragon Valley and the destruction of Shrek and the Tang Sect make him question his brother's methods 46 49 54. He ultimately helps rescue innocent survivors despite Chen Xing's opposition to their institutions 55.

Golden Dragon King Bloodline

Eighteen seals restrain the power within Wulin. He intends to undo them gradually and master that power for himself 27.
