Background / History

Mu Ye meets Chen Xing after learning that his friend Zhen Hua has taken the six-year-old mecha creator as a student. Interested in Chen Xing’s ability, Mu Ye visits his room that night, helps him understand energy-circuit layouts, then offers credits and a Body Sect token in exchange for an explanation. Chen Xing tells him about Illusory Creation and Wish Power and creates a White-Class remote-control mecha from Mu Ye’s blueprints in twenty minutes 17 18.

Impressed by both the feat and Chen Xing’s enthusiasm for mecha, Mu Ye tries to recruit him. His dispute with Zhen Hua ends in an agreement to teach Chen Xing jointly: Zhen Hua will cover forging and mecha expertise, while Mu Ye will teach Body Sect cultivation, body-tempering, and combat methods. Chen Xing belongs exclusively to neither faction 18.

Mu Ye later takes Tang Wulin as a shared student with Zhen Hua. After six months of physical training, he brings Wulin to the East Sea for another six months of high-pressure training; Wulin returns with a stronger body and an evolved Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul 27 28.

Personality

Mu Ye is openly passionate about mecha. He says the time he spent researching and piloting them held back his cultivation, but he refuses to give them up. Chen Xing’s simple reason for choosing mecha—“because they’re cool”—makes Mu Ye regard him as a kindred spirit 18.

He teases and argues with Zhen Hua, bargains freely to satisfy his curiosity, and praises students when they impress him. He also takes their safety seriously: after Chen Xing’s sparring match with him, Mu Ye gives him talismans that can summon Mu Ye in an emergency 17 18 37.
