She had just finished checking the earlier material when another set arrived. If Madelyn hadn't been standing beside her, she would have asked whether these people could sort things out before bringing them over.

"So you're keeping her here to deal with all this?" Lin Mo asked.

"I happened to have time today." Madelyn smiled.

"I can walk her through some of the procedures first."

She really had been in a good mood lately. The company had plenty more to deal with, and she was much busier than before, but none of that mattered.

After all, she had been promoted. She used to be the Public Relations Vice President. Now the "Vice" was gone.

And she hadn't just gained a better-sounding title. She could now approve certain projects that once had to go to the higher-ups. Part of the department's budget and some staffing decisions had been placed in her hands, too.

Before, whenever she wanted to do something, she had to consider the opinions of the people above her. Sometimes a proposal was already finished, but one person's dissatisfaction meant redoing the whole thing. Now it was much simpler.

At least within her area of responsibility, it was finally someone else's turn to listen to her.

What was a little extra work compared to that? She even hoped Edgar would give her more.

Of course, she had no need to say any of that in front of Maeve.

"I've also only recently taken charge of the department again, so some arrangements still need adjusting," Madelyn explained.

"Things will ease up once we get through this stretch."

"Taken charge again?" Lin Mo caught her meaning.

"Aren't you the Public Relations Vice President?"

"I'm the president now."
