Yugito Nii's first impression of Kazan was bad. Very bad!

He didn't carry himself like a genius at all. He acted like a reckless brat.

Yugito Nii was a few years older than Kazan, yet she was smaller than him.

Kazan had inherited the Garp Template and integrated twenty percent of it. His body had developed rapidly, and he already stood 1.6 meters tall.

Though he was young, years of grueling training had kept him from looking scrawny. He had short black hair and bright, lively eyes.

Yugito was not intimidated. She took a deep breath, and her expression returned to normal.

She spoke like a little queen. Despite her young age, she wore carefully applied makeup, and her long tea-brown hair was braided for battle.

"Minato, that girl..."

Kushina felt a strange sensation stir in her chest as she watched from the stands.

She sensed something unusual about Yugito.

Minato Namikaze said nothing. He simply watched.

"If anyone's surrendering, it'll be you. So what if you've got a mother cat living inside you?"

"You're practically possessed. What's there to be so smug about?"

"You..."

Now both Yugito and Matatabi inside her were furious.

This Konoha brat had no manners at all.

"Yugito, teach him a lesson."

Matatabi spoke to Yugito through their shared consciousness, and Yugito had no intention of refusing.

The spacious Training Ground held nothing but bare earth. Across generations of Konoha's Chunin Ninja Exams, countless Genin had learned harsh lessons here, and some had even died.

Yugito made the first move, agile as a cat.

She crossed her hands, and ten sharp claws sprang from her fingers. They tore through the air toward Kazan.

Kazan stood still. Iron Body activated without a sound, turning his body as hard as steel.

The piercing sound rang out as Yugito's claws struck Kazan. They did not leave a single wound.

"Cat claws might be good for scratching an itch. If you're trying to kill someone, they're not enough."

Kazan was unharmed. Only his shirt had been torn.

"How is that possible?!"

Yugito was startled. How could flesh and blood remain unscathed after taking a hit from her claws?

Kazan swung his fist. It seemed to cross the distance in an instant, hurtling toward Yugito's face.

She retreated at top speed, twisting nimbly out of its path. But Kazan's fist followed her all the way, and Yugito had no choice but to channel Chakra to defend herself.

His punch came down like a thunderbolt. It struck Yugito and sent her flying like a kite.

She twisted in midair to bleed off the force, but even after her feet touched the ground, the blow drove her back several meters before she stopped.

So heavy!

The force behind that punch was absurd. Coupled with his seemingly indestructible body, it made her think for a moment that she was facing a second Third Raikage.

In their first clash, Kazan had overwhelmed her, giving everyone a glimpse of the Konoha Princess's prowess.

"To think Konoha was hiding a genius like this besides Kakashi Hatake." Ebizo's expression was grim.

At the mention of Kakashi, he could not hide the killing intent in his eyes.

His sister's child had died at the hands of Kakashi's father, Hatake Sakumo.

Kazan's fist slammed down, blasting the ground apart and throwing up a cloud of dust.

Yugito leaped clear.

But the next instant, Kazan burst through the dust. He gathered his strength in midair and threw another punch.

Bang!

Yugito went flying again. Disbelief flashed across her cool, beautiful face.

I'm no match for him!

As I am now, I can't fight him.

The Konoha genius before her was comparable to a young Raikage. He had mastered no Ninjutsu, but his body was his strongest technique.

"Yugito!"

"Right. I'm counting on you, Matatabi!"

She did not dare underestimate him. She drew on the Two-Tails' Power at once.

Everyone in the Shinobi World knew Kumogakure had never given up trying to let its Jinchūriki control the power of their Tailed Beasts and deploy them in war.

Kumogakure had failed in both the First Shinobi World War and the Second Shinobi World War.

Yet now, on the eve of the Third Shinobi World War, Kumogakure had apparently succeeded.

Representatives from smaller ninja villages such as Kusagakure watched and quickly weighed what this meant for them.

"Hokage."

The Land of Fire's daimyo turned to Hiruzen Sarutobi. Hiruzen remained unruffled and merely told him to keep watching.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had never seen a Jinchūriki who could fully control a Tailed Beast.

Neither the First Hokage's wife, Mito Uzumaki, nor her descendant Kushina Uzumaki could do more than borrow the Nine-Tails' Chakra.
