"No! The food stores in the camp are empty! It's a trap! Everyone, run! Ah!"

That was Hyuga Asuka's final, despairing shout!

"You think you can leave? Not so easily! What do you take the Sand Ninja's main camp for? A place you can enter and leave whenever you please?"

An aged voice, tinged with authority, rang out around them.

"Chiyo, you old hag!" Tsunade said through gritted teeth.

"Ah. It looks like Sunagakure knew our plan as soon as we entered the Land of Rivers."

"They used our own plan against us!"

Liuyun sighed. Torches flared all around, their yellow flames clearly illuminating the two of them in their corner.

Sand Ninja holding torches appeared nearby, their faces expressionless.

Ebizo stepped out from the crowd with a smile.

"Princess Tsunade, it's been a long time! This is the first time we've met under circumstances like these!"

"Perfect! We can settle old scores and new ones together. Today, Konoha will lose not just Princess Tsunade, but a prodigy as well!"

"Well, we're going to die anyway, so I'd like to ask: how did you know we were coming to raid your main camp?"

Liuyun's tone was calm, his eyes curious.

"I don't know who sent word. This morning, someone shot an arrow into the camp with a note tied to the end!"

"It laid out the battle plan you discussed in your camp last night..."

"I didn't believe it at first! I thought it was a Konoha trick!"

"But my younger brother believed it immediately! The handwriting on that note was identical to the one we received about Konoha's grain convoy last time!"

Chiyo chuckled, her voice thick with mockery.

"Konoha really is a dark place. You even harm your own people! You're worse than us Sand Ninja!"

"Looks like the two of you have plenty of enemies in Konoha!"

Just as I thought, Liuyun said to himself.

He wrapped an arm around Tsunade's waist and said firmly,

"Pull yourself together. If you stay like this, how will we escape, get back to camp, avenge them, and find whoever's behind this?"
