The New World.

The waters that made up the second half of the Grand Line.

The Red Line divided the Grand Line into two halves. Crossing the Red Line through the World Government's Mary Geoise or Fish-Man Island, ten thousand meters beneath the sea, brought travelers into the second half of the Grand Line—the New World. Ruled by the Four Emperors, it was the most treacherous and dangerous stretch of sea.

It was also home to Laugh Tale, where the great treasure, the One Piece, lay hidden.

Now, all Four Emperors had received the news and wanted posters rushed out that day.

In a stretch of sea not far from the entrance to the New World.

An enormous three-masted sailing ship was underway.

Its rounded bow was painted silvery white. From a distance, it resembled a great white whale, immense and magnificent.

Even amid the towering waves of the New World, the ship sailed as though it were on calm waters.

With an overwhelming presence, it cleaved through the huge waves as if bringing the sea itself to heel, speeding toward the unknown waters in the distance.

Two paddle steamers followed on either side, four in total.

Those four ships were replicas of the giant vessel, differing only in color.

From afar, they looked like a giant whale swimming through the sea with four little whales.

This fleet was the main fleet of the Whitebeard Pirates, led by one of the Four Emperors.

The largest ship in

the center was the Moby Dick, the personal sailing ship of Whitebeard, Edward Newgate—the man universally acknowledged as the strongest in the world.

Aboard the Moby Dick, Whitebeard sat bare-chested on the deck, leaning casually against the forward cabin.
