Pirates: Invincible from the Start

As they drew closer, the ship picked up speed, and a huge wave surged toward them.

The bow pierced the wave like a sharp sword, plunging into these waters.

Watching the seawater and rain rush toward them, Kuta expanded his domain, enveloping himself and Kuina.

The seawater struck, then slid off to either side along an invisible boundary.

From a distance, it looked as though a transparent windshield had been fitted to the Freedom's bow.

As the Freedom pressed deeper, the surrounding currents grew more turbulent. One careless mistake would let the currents drag them off course, away from this one navigable route and straight into the Red Line.

They broke through a bank of thick fog, and the view suddenly opened up.

There, towering between the distant sky and sea, stood the highest and largest continent in the world.

The Red Line.

The Red Line was a ring-shaped continent that crossed the Grand Line at right angles, named for the red soil covering its surface. Since the Red Line and the Grand Line each formed a ring, they intersected at two points. The first was Reverse Mountain, right before them. The second was Mary Geoise, which also formed the barrier separating the New World from Paradise.

Looking at the distant Red Line rising into the clouds, Kuta marveled.

No wonder the Celestial Dragons and the former God's Kingdom chose to live up there. Living there must feel like looking down on the entire sea. Those pigs must really enjoy that feeling of ruling over heaven and earth!
