Longhair Jamal tilted his head, looking baffled. "The whole world is watching this place right now."
"And the Big Mom Pirates and Beasts Pirates arrived early. They've been eyeing the Chris Pirates like prey."
"But the Chris Pirates are ignoring all of that and throwing themselves a banquet?"
"Are they joking?"
Pascal ran a hand through his curly hair and shook his head. "It's ridiculous!"
"How can the Chris Pirates be in the mood for a banquet right now?"
"Shouldn't they be scrambling to prepare for tomorrow's battle?"
Holding a banquet on the eve of a major battle was a rare thing indeed.

Balam flung out his long arms helplessly and pursed his lips. "It's true."
"I saw every member of the Chris Pirates at the banquet."
"They didn't seem interested in what was happening outside, let alone affected by it."
"Their Division Commanders were especially relaxed, drinking and eating meat as though they'd already returned victorious."
