A chill flashed through Chris's eyes.
He went on, "The people of this country certainly won't submit to me easily."
"But we won't win their acceptance by constantly backing down, either."
"We need to take a firm hand with them."

As he spoke, a faint killing intent radiated from him.
His meaning was clear.
