History
The succession struggle places Dai Mubai under threat early on: he fears Dai Weisi after witnessing him kill their second brother in a purportedly friendly duel. Dai Tianfeng nevertheless selects Mubai, rather than the stronger Weisi, for the Genius Tournament because of Mubai's combat training 56.
The brothers later face each other at the Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. Dai Weisi mocks Mubai's White Tiger Soul Skills, but Shrek Academy wins their team match through Hei Ranbai's Seven-in-One fusion technique 242 244.
After returning to Star Luo, Mubai gives up competing for the throne under six months of pressure from Weisi. The Golden Roc Duke then persuades Mubai and his fiancée, Zhu Zhuqing, to back an ambush against Weisi at White Tiger Gate. Orochimaru defeats their forces; the Duke flees, and Dai Tianfeng leaves Mubai's punishment to Weisi. Weisi imprisons the conspirators and announces that Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun will be executed in a month 281 283 285.
