Will Behrens began his first year at Hogwarts, where his exceptional magic brought him allies, rivalries, and the attention of Dumbledore and Quirrell. As Harry and his friends investigated the Philosopher’s Stone, Will focused on his studies and received a mysterious letter addressed to him as a son.

• Professor Flitwick visited Will at home, praised his magical talent, and promised to help him at Hogwarts.
• Will arrived at Hogwarts, was Sorted into Slytherin, and defended himself against students who threatened him.
• Will impressed his teachers with his skill, helped Neville learn the Summoning Charm, and grew close to Sylvia, Hermione, and Neville.
• Quirrell revealed his connection to Voldemort while teaching Will about Runes, and Will later saw his ambitious future in the Mirror of Erised.
• Will helped Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Sylvia stop a troll, then celebrated Halloween with Sylvia in the Hogwarts Kitchens.

Will studied the connection between potions and spells, then returned to the Howard estate and discovered his ties to the Lestrange family and Vincent Behrens. After spending Christmas with Sylvia’s family and teaching Lupin, Will returned to Hogwarts, where he continued his Potions studies as Harry pursued Quirrell.

• Will read Ethan’s research on turning potions into spells, then asked Flitwick and Snape about the theory and decided against attempting dangerous experiments himself.
• Will returned to his empty home for Christmas, bought Dark Magic books in Knockturn Alley, and traveled to Arundel Castle to meet his father, Edward.
• After hearing Edward and Hobart argue about him, Will used the Imperius Curse on Edward, stunned him, and erased his memory before Hobart took him to Diagon Alley.
• Will spent Christmas at Lestrange Manor, where Roy recognized him as Vincent Behrens’s descendant and gave him access to the family vault, which contained Hufflepuff’s Cup.
• Will found Lupin suffering from Amarla Grass poisoning, brewed an antidote, and persuaded him to stay and teach Defence Against the Dark Arts until school resumed.
• Will returned to Hogwarts with Sylvia, Hermione, and Neville, reached Dark Magic level four, and gained Potion Potency Proliferation after completing a potion.

Will used Voldemort’s offer and the Black Diary to deepen his magical studies while navigating Harry’s transformation and the start of a new school year. After helping Harry reach Hogwarts and exposing Lockhart’s incompetence, Will turned his attention to Transfiguration and its limits.

• Harry followed Quirrell into the Forbidden Forest, where Quirrell attacked the centaurs and Harry before Harry fell unconscious.
• Will accepted Voldemort’s offer to learn from him in exchange for helping discover Fluffy’s weakness, then told Dumbledore about the arrangement.
• Will developed a Bone-Growing Charm through experiments on himself and lizards, while Ron accidentally gave Harry his Powerful Beauty Potion and transformed him into a girl.
• Will finished his first year, reunited with Lupin in London, and learned that Lupin had declined Dumbledore’s offer to teach at Hogwarts.
• Lucius Malfoy gave Will Voldemort’s Black Diary, and Will used it as Ivan Selwyn while drawing knowledge from Tom and limiting its access to his magic.

After working with Dumbledore to uncover and destroy the Diary, Will began training with Moody and investigating how magic persisted in creatures and ghosts, then led the Weasley Brothers toward a remarkable place.
