Will helped Dumbledore recover Slytherin’s Locket and continued experimenting on Karkaroff while Voldemort’s plans unfolded around the tournament. On June 24, the champions entered the shifting maze, where Harry and Cedric faced danger and Will confronted Sophie Robert.

• Will refused Karkaroff’s request to kill the recovering Crouch and reported it to Dumbledore, who altered Crouch’s memories.
• Will joined Dumbledore and Harry at a seaside cave, where they found Slytherin’s Locket and Regulus Black’s body, then returned Regulus to Sirius for burial.
• Will used Felix Felicis experiments to control and study Karkaroff, while Dumbledore reconsidered how Voldemort had chosen his Horcruxes.
• Will and Dumbledore learned that Voldemort was planning a Department of Mysteries raid and a werewolf attack during the tournament, and Will identified Karkaroff as the source of accusations against him.
• Will continued experimenting until he created the Felix Charm, and Dumbledore gave him a portable library before the Third Task.
• Will secretly took Durmstrang’s dark magic and War Magic books, then entered the maze with Harry and Cedric.
• Harry used Wandless Magic after losing his Wand, Cedric blinded an Acromantula and escaped, and Harry rescued Krum from a Venomous Tentacula after their duel.
• Will fought magical obstacles in the maze and disarmed Sophie Robert after she attacked him.

Will was sent centuries into the past when the Time-Turner shattered, where he studied magic and investigated werewolf transformation while trying to avoid time’s retaliation. In the present, Voldemort returned and ordered the Death Eaters to find Will and prepare to free their followers from Azkaban.

• Will and Harry reached the Triwizard Cup together, but it transported them to a graveyard where Voldemort returned and prepared to duel Harry.
• Dumbledore fought Voldemort and the Death Eaters while Grindelwald confronted Yaxley in the Time Room, where Will grabbed a Time-Turner as it shattered and unleashed a temporal disaster.
• Will emerged in 1608, met Santa Claus, and learned that time retaliated against travelers and that Santa Claus was trapped in repeating periods of history.
• Will hid in the past, studied Transfiguration, and experimented on werewolves to understand how their magical structures changed under the full moon.
• Will’s experiments triggered another violent journey through time, after which he gained the Formless ability and created a miniature world with rapidly changing landscapes and creatures.
• Will continued studying Transfiguration in seclusion and wondered whether it could create souls, while transforming into a phoenix to protect himself from time.
• Voldemort ordered the Death Eaters to find Will, infiltrate the Ministry, and prepare to free his servants from Azkaban, while assigning Lucius Malfoy to find Hufflepuff’s Cup.

Will followed Depty’s discovery of Ancient Magic while using Ranrok to search for the Repositories and studying the power himself. After Depty killed Ranrok and sealed the Final Repository, Will completed a new Ancient Magic construct, but time’s distortion transformed him into a Phoenix and left him stranded aboard a ship in 1901.

• Will traveled to 1890, secretly followed Professor Fig and Depty into the Ancient Magic trials, and learned from Ranrok’s memories that Bragbor had built five Repositories.
• Will copied the Ancient Magic Core in Rookwood Castle, created a new core, and later used Imperio on Ranrok to make him search for Repositories and provide Dark Wizards for experiments.
• Will absorbed the Dark Wizards’ negative emotions to advance his Ancient Magic to LV2 and gained the ability to amplify charms.
• Depty and Professor Fig explored the trials, while Will watched memories of Isidora extracting her father’s pain and followed them to clues about the Final Repository beneath Hogwarts.
• Ranrok killed Rohdgok and took Bragbor’s diary, while Depty entered the Final Repository with Professor Fig after Percival revealed its location.
• Will opened the Repository with his silver Magic Core and examined its enormous Ancient Magic Core as Depty and Professor Fig fought Ranrok, whom Depty killed with Avada Kedavra.
• After Depty sealed the cave, Will formed the inner core and outer seal into a stable sphere, but time distorted his body and transformed him into a Phoenix.
• Will hatched aboard a ship, incapacitated the poachers with silvery-white rays, returned to human form, and found a July 1901 newspaper.

Will returned from Voldemort’s resurrection and worked with Dumbledore to keep his role as a Double Agent secret while he studied magic and prepared for Voldemort’s plans. He warned the Lestranges, built his strength over the summer, and kept his distance from Harry, who began training under Dumbledore.

• Will rescued baby Corvus from the burning ship, gave Leta the name Vincent Behrens, and later supported the Lestranges as their family grew and faced danger.
• Will arranged for Rodolphus Lestrange’s Vault to be divided into three shares, removed its protective enchantments, and collected bones from the Riddle grave before returning to Harry and the Death Eaters.
• After Dumbledore tasked Will with searching for Horcruxes alongside Snape, Will went to St. Mungo’s and pretended he had escaped the Death Eaters with no knowledge of Voldemort’s return.
• Will returned to Hogwarts and kept Harry uninformed, then agreed to learn magic from Grindelwald, mastering Protego Diabolica and beginning to study spatial magic.
• Will proposed a lower-tier recruitment structure for the High Tower, while Voldemort decided to use Will’s connection to the Lestranges to find Hufflepuff’s Cup.
