Background & History

Ji Changfeng experienced an enlightenment that showed him a vast world and a sword capable of splitting the heavens. He soon entered Qingyun Sect alongside Zhang Xiaofan, formally becoming Tian Buyi's seventh disciple of Dazhu Peak. Unlike the anxious Zhang Xiaofan, he faced Dazhu Peak's gathered disciples and Tian Buyi's cold scrutiny without fear. 2

His cultivation immediately became extraordinary. After attaining Jade Purity's first layer overnight and its second layer in under half a month, he refined Qingyun's cultivation method with his Heaven-Defying Comprehension rather than merely following it. During a bamboo-cutting trip, the sight of an azure serpent inspired his first self-created sword technique, Two Sleeves of Azure Serpents. 6 9
