Little Teacher Tsunade

Uchiha Yi's words left Mito Uzumaki dazed again. She had once heard Hashirama Senju say something much the same.

Hashirama Senju had held to that very belief when he killed Madara Uchiha.

And there was nothing wrong with Uchiha Yi saying he would suppress every enemy if he became Hokage. When Hashirama Senju was alive, hadn't he kept the entire era in check, leaving the other villages without even the will to start a war?

If Uchiha Yi truly became strong enough to suppress Konoha's enemies, what was wrong with that? Nothing at all! Mito Uzumaki found the thought reassuring. If he could reach Hashirama Senju's level, the Shinobi World would know peace.

Nor did Mito Uzumaki worry that Uchiha Yi might act rashly one day, or about what would happen if a member of the Uchiha Clan became Hokage. Once he reached that level of strength, he would have little choice but to become Hokage, even if he did not want to.

Unless Konoha produced someone who could stand against him.

Mito Uzumaki studied Uchiha Yi with a complicated expression for a long while before speaking. "Would you become Tsunade's disciple? I trust you understand what that means. She wouldn't merely be your squad leader after you graduate."

There was a difference between a squad leader and a true teacher. Kakashi was Naruto's squad leader, while Jiraiya was his true teacher.

"I understand!" Uchiha Yi looked toward Tsunade and found her studying him in turn. "I'd be glad to become Tsunade's disciple. It's a tremendous opportunity for me."

"Hmph. You little brat, do you think I was eager to take you on?" Tsunade folded her arms and snorted. "Let me make this clear: I won't get involved in the Uchiha Clan's internal affairs. And if you compete for the position of Hokage someday, I won't support you."

The Senju Clan had disbanded, but Tsunade still had influence.

If she openly supported Uchiha Yi's bid to become Hokage, it might well cause trouble down the road.

"As long as you don't stop me from becoming Hokage, Teacher Tsunade, that's enough." Uchiha Yi did not mind. Sometimes, competing for the position of Hokage was more about having the right connections.

Without ties to the Hokage Lineage, becoming Hokage was next to impossible.

In truth, Uchiha Yi was not as intent on becoming Hokage as one might think. As someone who had crossed over into this world and knew what kind of godlike battles awaited the Shinobi World, he cared far more about his own strength.

If he reached the level of the Six Paths, or even surpassed it, would becoming Hokage still matter?

By then, Uchiha Yi would not take pride in being Hokage. The office of Hokage would gain prestige from him.

"Hah, calling me your teacher already, are you, brat?" Tsunade pursed her lips, but she did not stop him. Teaching a genius like him might be interesting after all.

Mito Uzumaki's eyes filled with amusement at Uchiha Yi's eagerness. Most members of the Uchiha Clan would never be so quick to claim someone as their teacher.

Some of the prouder ones would even consider her request an insult.

He truly was an unusual member of the Uchiha Clan. Who knew how far he would go?

She would give him what help she could before he came into his own.

Mito Uzumaki was not doing this solely for Kushina Uzumaki's sake. She treated Kushina like her own granddaughter, but that alone would not have been enough.

Hashirama Senju was an even greater reason. He had always felt guilty about Madara Uchiha. Before his death, he had said more than once that perhaps none of what followed would have happened if he had firmly supported Madara's bid to become Hokage.

And the Uchiha Clan might become a problem too entrenched to handle one day.

Tobirama Senju had pinned his hopes on Kagami Uchiha, only for Kagami to die. Now they would have to see what Uchiha Yi could do. In a way, Mito Uzumaki was carrying out Hashirama Senju's dying wish.

"Starting tomorrow, come here every day after school. I'll train you." Tsunade ran a hand through her hair. "To be honest, I may not be the best person to teach you. If you're interested, I can teach you Cherry Blossom Impact and Medical Ninjutsu. I can't promise either will suit you, though."

The Uchiha Clan's fighting style had always been flamboyant and technical. Tsunade was different. By combining the Senju Clan's methods of unleashing Chakra with Hiruzen Sarutobi's combat style, she had developed Cherry Blossom Impact, a technique that overwhelmed finesse with raw force.

Tsunade worried that her teaching might steer Uchiha Yi down the wrong path.

Uchiha Yi, however, had no such concern. With Nawaki's physique, he was not afraid that Cherry Blossom Impact would be beyond his control.

He would have preferred to focus on technique, of course. But adding Cherry Blossom Impact to that style would make him even more formidable, much like Madara Uchiha.

Setting aside the Ōtsutsuki Clan, Madara Uchiha ranked among the strongest in the Shinobi World's history. Even Sasuke, Indra's Chakra's later reincarnation, had awakened the Rinnegan but was not quite Madara's equal in strength.

Uchiha Yi could hardly go wrong by following Madara Uchiha's example. With the Battle Space, though, he would become stronger and more versatile than Madara.

"I'll work hard," Uchiha Yi said with a confident smile.

"If you have questions, I can guide you as well," Mito Uzumaki added. "That is, if Sealing Jutsu interests you."

Then she turned to Uchiha Mikoto. "Mikoto, why don't you join them?"

"Me?" Uchiha Mikoto pointed at herself in disbelief. She knew that, having accepted Uchiha Yi as her disciple, Tsunade was unlikely to take her on too. She had never expected Mito Uzumaki to offer her guidance.

"Yes. You're Kushina's friend, and I hope the two of you remain friends for life. Besides, the future of the Uchiha Clan will rest with you as well." Mito Uzumaki looked at Kushina Uzumaki with eyes full of affection.

As for how much Uchiha Mikoto could learn, Mito Uzumaki could not say. The girl appeared talented and stood a good chance of becoming an Elite Jōnin, but catching up to Uchiha Yi would be no easy feat.

Mito Uzumaki could clearly sense Uchiha Yi's abundant vitality. Perhaps the fighting styles of the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan would suit him well.

With the legacies of the Uchiha Clan, the Senju Clan, and the Uzumaki Clan brought together in Uchiha Yi, no one could imagine how far he might go.
