"Thank you, then." Mito Uzumaki's eyes flickered. "That depends on whether Danzo has managed to develop the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu.
"To be honest, I don't have much confidence in Monkey's trip to the front lines.
"Monkey is far stronger than Danzo, but there's one thing he can't match Shimura Danzō in.
"Monkey isn't as ruthless. He'll still see Shimura Danzō as a comrade, but Shimura Danzō has always seen Monkey as a rival. When the time comes, it wouldn't be impossible for Shimura Danzō to ambush him."
As she spoke, Mito Uzumaki's gaze grew distant.
"Do you think I should warn Lord Hokage?" Uchiha Yi asked, lowering his head.
That kept Mito Uzumaki from seeing his expression. She was far too shrewd to fool easily.
Yi didn't want to disappoint her, either. There were simply some things he was unwilling to do.
"Heh, you're underestimating Monkey. At worst, he'll take a few knocks." Mito Uzumaki chuckled. "Danzo can't threaten you anymore. Besides, having him leave Konoha benefits you for now.
"Do you think Konoha could still tolerate a ninja who dared attack the Hokage?"
Uchiha Yi pressed his lips together. In the future, hadn't Shimura Danzō attacked Hiruzen Sarutobi and lived to tell the tale?
He had even gone on to plot the Uchiha Clan's destruction.
In the end, Hiruzen Sarutobi had grown increasingly timid, while the forces under his command had steadily weakened. He hadn't dared make a move.
Fortunately, Yi didn't need to worry about that. He was not Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"And if Danzo defects, certain people may come looking for him. You could use him to find them, couldn't you?" Mito Uzumaki continued.
"Madara Uchiha?" Uchiha Yi nodded slightly, a smile touching his lips. "He's suffered considerable losses because of me. Kirigakure used to be under
