This time, the Nine-Tails truly unleashed everything it had. It had been far too long since it had fought with such abandon.
Once, it had been a Tailed Beast living free. When a reincarnation of Asura's Chakra needed help, it would occasionally lend a hand. Otherwise, the Nine-Tails wanted little to do with humans.
Then it encountered two humans, the brothers Kinkaku and Ginkaku. It swallowed them, only for those bastards to start eating its flesh.
Later came Madara Uchiha, who seized control of it without a word and fought Hashirama Senju. Madara lost, and Hashirama decided the Nine-Tails was too powerful and had to be sealed. Though Hashirama himself was at death's door by then, sealing it was easy enough with Mito Uzumaki's help.
After that, life inside Mito Uzumaki had been worse than death.
Mito Uzumaki's constitution was the perfect counter to it. Outside her body, the Nine-Tails was confident it could defeat her by bombarding her with Tailed Beast Bombs.
But inside Mito Uzumaki, all it could do was endure her constant extraction of its Chakra.
When it later entered Kushina Uzumaki, the Nine-Tails cooperated willingly. Still, it had a feeling that even if it refused, Kushina would extract its Chakra anyway. That woman had already reached Asura's level.
And the women around Uchiha Yi? One day, every one of them would have the power to crush it outright.
For a while, the Nine-Tails had wondered if it was actually weak.
Thankfully, it was fighting the Eight-Tails again. The Eight-Tails was decent enough, but nowhere near its level.
That was wonderful. It wasn't weak after all. The people it had encountered were simply too powerful.
