Black Zetsu knew Indra's Chakra well. He had spent the past thousand years studying it.
He had studied nearly every reincarnation of Indra's Chakra. Before they awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, their Chakra felt only a little colder than that of an ordinary Uchiha, and their Eye Power was only somewhat stronger than that of an Uchiha at the same level.
Perhaps a reincarnation of Asura could sense a reincarnation of Indra, but Black Zetsu certainly could not.
Uchiha Yi did resemble a reincarnation of Indra's Chakra in some ways, but Black Zetsu soon dismissed the thought. Madara Uchiha was still alive. How could there be a second reincarnation?
What, did Indra think one reincarnation of his Chakra could not beat a reincarnation of Asura Chakra, so he had split his Chakra in two to fight Asura?
If one could not win, send two?
That was impossible. Besides, if Uchiha Yi truly were a reincarnation of Indra's Chakra, he could not have awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan at such a young age.
Uchiha Yi might look like an extraordinary prodigy now, but at this rate, he would face serious problems within three years.
Forget awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan. Whether he would survive was another question. Even if he awakened it, his body could not withstand that terrifying Yin Release.
So Uchiha Yi could not possibly be a reincarnation of Indra's Chakra. No matter how monstrous his talent, he would not live long.
Black Zetsu promptly put Uchiha Yi out of his mind. However gifted the boy was, death awaited him.
Konoha would never give Uchiha Yi Hashirama Senju's cells, either.
Of course, if Uchiha Yi fell into despair one day, Black Zetsu might try to recruit him. He could offer the boy a second life then.
But that would have to wait until Uchiha Yi had lost all hope.
Black Zetsu then glanced at Tsunade, Kushina Uzumaki, and Hyuga Rinka. All three were talented ninja, but none would affect the bigger picture.
If things went as expected, these few people would be the spark that ignited the Second Shinobi World War.
Die. Let more of you die!
"You brat!" The Rain Ninja grew anxious as Uchiha Yi fought with increasing ease. At first, he had thought his adult body would give him an advantage.
However talented his opponent was, he was still a child. But the Rain Ninja soon discovered that the boy was astonishingly strong, perhaps even stronger than he was. More troubling was his speed. Apart from Lord Hanzō, he had never seen anyone faster than this Uchiha boy.
And Uchiha Yi was still just a child!
Given more time, would Konoha produce another Kagami Uchiha?
By now, Madara Uchiha's reputation had gradually faded from memory. Kagami Uchiha had taken his place as a renowned ninja of Konoha.
Fortunately, Kagami Uchiha was dead.
"That's just the howling of a beaten dog. You're a Rain Ninja, aren't you?
"I never thought the Rain Ninja would dare provoke Konoha. Who gave you the nerve? Hanzō?
"A small country should know its place. You exist only to supply missions to the major Ninja Villages and serve as a buffer between great nations.
"What gave you the idea that you could challenge a great nation?" Uchiha Yi taunted as he pressed his attack.
At first, Uchiha Yi had tested his opponent's strength and considered him a decent sparring partner. Now he had lost interest.
The man was a Jonin, perhaps even one of Hanzō's trusted lieutenants, but this was all he could do. With the Land of Rain's resources, it was difficult to train large numbers of powerful ninja.
Uchiha Yi had lost interest in him.
Without even noticing it, he had reached a point where an ordinary Jonin no longer impressed him.
Next came Elite Jōnin, then Kage Level ninja.
He wondered when the Second Shinobi World War would break out. To his surprise, he was looking forward to it. War would let him grow stronger, earn prestige, and build his standing within the Uchiha and Konoha.
For now, at least, Hiruzen Sarutobi was still willing to support him.
He needed to grow faster—so fast that Hiruzen Sarutobi, Mito Uzumaki, and the others would have no time to react or change their minds about him.
Holding the Sword of the Thunder God in his right hand, Uchiha Yi knocked aside the Rain Ninja's attack. His left hand, hidden beneath his sleeve, swiftly formed one-handed Hand Seals. In an instant, lightning flared along the sword, and countless birds seemed to cry out.
Uchiha Yi's speed surged. At the same time, the three tomoe in his eyes spun rapidly.
The Rain Ninja, already beside himself with rage at Uchiha Yi's taunts, froze for an instant. He had fallen under Uchiha Yi's illusion. Uchiha Yi seized the opening and drove the Sword of the Thunder God through his heart.
"Is that all?" Uchiha Yi murmured. "You didn't even know not to look an Uchiha in the eye when fighting one. So much for the Land of Rain."
He felt as though the man had underestimated him. He was an Uchiha!
Uchiha Yi turned toward Kushina Uzumaki and Hyuga Rinka's fight. The two worked together superbly, but their opponents outnumbered them. They were forced onto the defensive and had few chances to strike back.
They could not keep defending forever.
Nearby, Tsunade watched the fight with her arms crossed. When she saw Uchiha Yi finish off his opponent, she gave him a small nod of approval.
Clearly, Uchiha Yi had exceeded her expectations. He really had killed a Jonin.
A small country's Jonin was still a Jonin. Some were weaker than Konoha's Special Jōnin, but in certain small countries, a Jonin could even lead an entire village.
Uchiha Yi's performance was remarkable.
Unfortunately, they could not let word of it spread without putting him in danger. Otherwise, he would become famous overnight.
The boy was only seven. Uchiha Yi seemed even more talented than Grandma had said.
As Uchiha Yi watched Kushina Uzumaki and Hyuga Rinka fight, the ninja facing them saw that their leader was dead. They immediately chose to flee, scattering in every direction.
