Background and History
Shibai Ōtsutsuki's daughter, Kaguya had an exceptional bloodline but lost standing after her father disappeared. The clan assigned her as Isshiki Ōtsutsuki's guardian and sent them to the Shinobi World; according to Isshiki, the assignment also tested whether Shibai would respond if she were sacrificed. Kaguya ambushed Isshiki rather than trust that he would resurrect her afterward 318 348.
Kaguya consumed the planet's Chakra Fruit and bore Hagoromo and Hamura. She hoped her sons would help her resist the wider Ōtsutsuki Clan, but they opposed her treatment of the Shinobi World and sealed her with the Ten-Tails inside the moon. Hamura later visited her there. Shrines to the Rabbit Goddess remained standing, with Black Zetsu encouraging her worship 218 219 301 348.
Appearance
Kaguya has Byakugan and long hair. When she consumes the Chakra Fruit supplied by Yi, her hair streams in the surge of chakra and the Rinne Sharingan on her forehead opens 298 435.
Personality
Kaguya is deeply afraid of death and of the Ōtsutsuki Clan finding her. Her ambush of Isshiki was a survival decision, and she initially regards Yi's plan to hunt the clan as reckless. Even after agreeing to help him, she wants to grow stronger before letting her presence draw its attention 348 375 423.
She remains attached to Hagoromo and Hamura despite their conflict: she reacts with hatred when she suspects Yi has killed them, then begins reconsidering whether their decision to seal her protected the world. Her desire for power can strain her alliance with Yi, but she yields when she recognizes that she cannot take Shibai's Chakra Fruits from him by force 348 350 426.

Kaguya's own chakra and life force are immense even apart from the Ten-Tails. Yi judges her chakra to far exceed Madara's as the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, and her complete fusion with the Ten-Tails makes her exceptionally difficult to kill 375 376 380.

Ōtsutsuki knowledge
Kaguya recognizes Sacrificial Elixir Refinement, knows the approximate locations of some Ōtsutsuki, and warns Yi that Chakra Fruits must be digested gradually and affect consumers differently 348 423 427.
