Origins and imprisonment

Moyue originated from Nine Dragons Mountain. After losing a contest for privileged cultivation, he left his homeland, was hunted, and eventually fell into the hands of Daoist Changqingzi. Changqingzi sealed him and periodically tried to persuade him to become a spirit beast, but stopped visiting after roughly a century; Moyue believed he had died 451.

Moyue remained imprisoned for thousands of years, approaching the end of his lifespan. By the time Xu Chuan encountered him, escape depended on unraveling the Three-Absolute Dragon-Locking Grand Formation rather than breaking it through ordinary Foundation Establishment attacks 209 333.

Release and service to the Xu Household

Moyue accepted Xu Chuan’s proposal to surrender a wisp of soul essence in exchange for help escaping. Xu Chuan placed a Spirit-Commanding Restriction on it, gaining the ability to control Moyue’s life and death with a thought, while Xu Mingxian worked on the sealing formation 203.

During the demonic cultivators’ attack on Dongxi, Mingxian burned her lifespan to finish opening the seal. Moyue emerged, destroyed Xue Ming’s blood pythons, and killed him with a barrage of icicles. He sealed Jingwu’s memories and those of the household members who knew him, leaving Xu Mingwei and Xu Mingyuan informed 252.

He also brought three offspring to the household: two young black flood dragons and a white snake. Their mother, an early-third-rank Heaven-Cold Snake, refused to accompany him because she disliked humans. Moyue survived the tribulation above Cloud Lake and became a fourth-tier transforming great demon. The breakthrough ended the lifespan restrictions that had prevented him from freely using his full strength. His subsequent fight with Qi Tianxiong immediately demonstrated the Xu Household’s new standing among Skyreach Prefecture’s major powers 333.

His duties expanded to city patrols, family escorts, and alliance protection. Despite his new status, Moyue chose not to remain. He regarded the Xu Household as his home and no longer sought his father’s throne. At Xu Chuan’s direction, Moyue subdued the Black Tiger of the Blackwind Mountains, combining force with pill rewards to secure his service 519. After his fifth-tier bloodline transformation, he extended the campaign to other transforming demons, recruiting the Six-Tailed Illusion Fox, Azure Firmament Demon Wolf King, and Riftwind Butterfly 596 616 617.

Moyue defeated the Cloud Roc Yun Feiyang in combat but lost their speed contest. Xu Chuan completed the recruitment by winning a race with his Wind-Thunder Wings.
