Once Su Yi had gotten to know the men, he checked their attributes. Their combat abilities were solid, with most of them around Level 5.

He nodded in satisfaction. "Alton, rent a place nearby for these five brothers."

"A big one, with some sunlight."

The five men were overwhelmed. "Boss, we've only just arrived. We haven't earned that!"

Su Yi smiled. "We're all brothers. Don't stand on ceremony. Go on!"

Alton nodded at once. "Yes, boss!"

After Alton and the others left, Aolong came out looking worried. "You were pretty forceful just now. Robert and his people probably won't let this go."

Su Yi smiled. "I want this to blow up!"

Aolong froze. "Why?"

"If it doesn't," Su Yi said, "how is the chief supposed to leave the city to hunt down bandits?"

Aolong stared at him. "Huh?"

Su Yi picked up the phone. "My dear Colt, come on. It's time for your promotion to chief!"

"I need you to report me to your chief for colluding with bandits outside the city!"

Still shaken, Robert and the others stumbled back to Marn's office and reported what had happened.

The report soon reached the newly appointed supervisor for the area, Orlando Perry, whose Rank was L10.

Orlando was somewhat surprised by the news, but he didn't think much of it.

"If I had to guess, this guy is the backup Barrett planted here."

"Too bad strength isn't everything here."

With that, Orlando called Chief Webber.

"Do what you need to do, Chief. Once it's done, I'll see you promoted to Vine City. You can leave this godforsaken place without a scrap of sunlight behind!"

In his office, Webber took an excited breath. "Understood!"

"With your word on it, I have nothing to fear!"

After hanging up, Webber rubbed his chin.
