Jiang Hao heard Lady of Night say that name and found himself at a loss for words. The Mysterious Girl had actually helped the Netherese Empire create the Shadow Magic Net to replace herself.
As unbelievable as it sounded, it was true.
For one thing, Lady of Night had no reason to lie about this. For another, no one understood the Magic Net better than the Mysterious Girl, who had become one with it. She had the ability to help the mages of the Netherese Empire create a new Magic Net.
But why had she done it? Why had she wanted to "kill" herself?
He hesitated, then asked the question anyway.
"Why did she do it? Didn't she know that once the Shadow Magic Net appeared, it would encroach on her Authority and cause a schism?"
