Arrival in Konoha

Kushina arrives at the Ninja Academy as a nervous newcomer but openly declares her ambition to become Hokage. When classmates mock her appearance and dream, Qingyun forces them to apologize. His subsequent aloofness only makes her more determined to approach him 17 18.

An accidental encounter during Qingyun’s Tai Chi practice ends with Kushina knocked down and crying. His apology leads to a conversation about their shared experience of losing family, and she names him her first friend in Konoha. Continued bullying later prompts her to chase down and beat her classmates, earning the nickname “Red Hot-Blooded Habanero” 18 21.

Friendship and Early Missions

Mito stages Kushina’s abduction to test Qingyun’s intentions. Believing the danger is real, he repeatedly shields Kushina and suffers serious wounds. Kushina is moved by his devotion but furious when the attacker reveals herself as her grandmother 26 27 28.
