Background / History

Yu Xiaogang was born into the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon family, but his Martial Soul suffered a malignant mutation because of his low innate Soul Power. Unable to advance past Rank 29, he devoted himself to researching Martial Soul theory rather than pursuing further cultivation. He later spent more than twenty years associated with Nuoding Academy. 8 21 124

At Nuoding Academy, Master intervened when Tang San was denied entry by the gatekeeper. After correctly inferring Tang San's Twin Martial Souls from his certificate, he impressed Tang San with his theories and accepted him as a disciple. Cheng Xiao declined the same offer, showing no interest in theoretical instruction. 3

Master guided Tang San's Soul Ring choices and development of Blue Silver Grass, treating Tang San's success as proof that his theories could elevate even a supposedly weak Martial Soul. His confidence in this role became closely tied to his desire to prove that Yu Xiaogang was not useless. 13 21 36 66
