Background and History
Early Life and the Hero Party
In the Third Era setting explored by Chen Fan’s Myriad Worlds simulations, Li Ping is a farmer preparing to awaken his class. He meets the recently robbed Chen Fan in an alley, offers assistance, and accompanies him to the church. Their class awakenings lead to recruitment into the Hero Party and residence at the Royal Palace 773 774.
The party consists of a Hero, mage, paladin, Priest, archer, and ranger. This younger Li Ping initially dismisses Chen Fan’s suspicion of the paladin. When Chen Fan advances faster despite Li Ping having his own cheat, Li Ping openly complains about being outperformed 774 775.
In a repeated attempt, Chen Fan convinces him that the paladin is the Demon King’s reincarnation. Their escape fails when the paladin teleports them back to the palace. Golden light from the goddess statue rescues Li Ping but leaves Chen Fan behind to be tortured and killed 777.
Seeking Powerful Backers
During an earlier group mission, Li Ping witnesses Chen Fan’s battle with Wang Hao and immediately switches his flattery toward Chen Fan. He discards his Priest Hat, tries to cling to Chen Fan’s thigh, and begs for protection 248.
Later, Li Ping requests help against the Demon King’s fifth right-hand man. Chen Fan agrees to cover the Didi Stand-In cost in exchange for learning his Golden Finger. Li Ping reveals Draw One Entry Per Year, explaining that it awakened when he was twenty, three years after his class-awakening ceremony 266 268.
Recognizing the ability’s long-term potential, Chen Fan gives him unused True Treasures and Qi-Refining Spellcraft as an investment. Chen Fan subsequently concludes that Li Ping’s predicament was connected to a higher-dimensional trap targeting him and the Chat Group 268 273 274.
Exposure and the Question Game
Chen Fan eventually identifies Li Ping as the Higher-Dimensional Existence concealed within the Chat Group. Li Ping drops his pretense and proposes a question-and-answer game in which neither participant may lie 311 312.
Using the Colorful Class Card Zero Returner, he isolates their conversation from other higher-dimensional observers. He admits to possessing entries that reward enemy kills and temporarily circumvent the Chat Group’s prohibition against harming fellow members. His question asks how far in the past Chen Fan’s original body is located; Chen Fan answers thirty-seven years 313.
Chen Fan’s clone later realizes that the game itself concealed a mechanism that might expose his original body in reality. Li Ping acknowledges that the scheme has been noticed but leaves without explaining its operation 316.
Death and the Past-Self Contingency
In another simulation, Chen Fan discovers that Li Ping’s Chat Group avatar has turned gray. The logs report that Li Ping attacked Ning Chen during the third group mission, provoking a four-on-one conflict that involved Main God Space and destroyed the Gods and Devils Realms. Ning Chen won, and Li Ping died 340 341.
Wu Yong’s recorded memories confirm Ning Chen’s victory but withhold the battle’s conclusion. Chen Fan suspects that the account conceals Wang Hao’s involvement. Li Ping’s death also reduces the group below the membership requirement for further group missions 342 343.
Exploring the ruined world leads Chen Fan to Past Li Ping, who communicates through a memory scene. Past Li Ping claims that his contingency exists to obtain information about his killer and arrange a future resurrection. He states that the witnessed death cannot be undone, although events after it still offer room for intervention 362 363 364.
His subsequent involvement includes attempts to influence and replace Chen Fan. One manifestation later admits that it is not the true Past Li Ping, but a copy simulated through two Colorful Class Cards, possessing memories and consciousness without a true spirit 468 488 523.
Zero’s Replacement and the Struggle for His Identity
In a later simulation, the apparent Present Li Ping demands Chen Fan’s I Am the Mastermind talent in exchange for access to Past Li Ping. Chen Fan completes the trade, and the memory-scene connection opens 584 585.
Past Li Ping eventually argues that his present self has already died and that Zero is impersonating him. Chen Fan’s analysis places the replacement during the second group mission. The impostor later abandons Li Ping’s priestly appearance, revealing a suit and strange clown mask 597 598 600 601.
Zero uses the acquired talent to force Past Li Ping to target him with the Thousand-Lifetime Fate-Reversing Book, obtaining access to its reincarnation power. Their conflict temporarily places Past Li Ping and Chen Fan on the same side 620 626 628.
Past Li Ping later reveals that he anticipated Chen Fan’s negotiations with Zero over eliminating Present Li Ping’s identity. He intends to use the resulting confrontation to reclaim that identity 646 650.
Appearance
- Young Li Ping: Has a lively, clear, innocent face, markedly different from his calculating later self 774.
- Priestly attire: Commonly wears priest robes and a Priest Hat; one recorded mission shows a more refined version of the outfit 248 267 343.
- Higher-dimensional manifestation: His drab gray robes disappear into sacred radiance, and vast Dao resonance surrounds him 312.
- Past Li Ping: Frequently appears shrouded in Dao resonance, with his eyes the only exposed feature 364.
- Zero’s impersonation: The suit and strange clown mask belong to the replacement occupying Li Ping’s identity, not his usual priestly presentation 600 601.
Personality
Li Ping’s younger self is helpful, enthusiastic, and inexperienced. He approaches a stranger in need and initially finds Chen Fan’s suspicions of the paladin unnecessarily complicated 774 775.
His later self uses exaggerated deference and shameless flattery to conceal his capabilities. He readily calls Chen Fan “Daddy Chen” when asking for assistance, despite later revealing himself as a powerful schemer who has repeatedly targeted him 248 266 276 311.
Past Li Ping is exceptionally calculating and unwilling to concede defeat. He prepares contingencies across eras, conceals the extent of his abilities, and continues acting even when Chen Fan believes he has lost. Nevertheless, he treats Lin Feng with unusual seriousness and openly acknowledges his strength 364 382 388 468.
Abilities and Skills
Draw One Entry Per Year
Li Ping’s Golden Finger grants one entry each year. Its strength lies in accumulation: his early collection is mostly white and green entries, whereas his mature self possesses abilities capable of confronting higher-dimensional opponents 268 323.
- His ability is independently identified by Lin Feng through Time Shepherding 603.
- Lin Feng states that peak Past Li Ping possesses eleven Colorful entries 604.
- His collection includes a Golden Finger ability stolen from another Otherworldly Demon 619 625.
Omnipotence
Colorful Entry: Omnipotence alters Li Ping’s rank, abilities, and surrounding conditions 575 604 622.
- Destroys Past Zero’s Judgment Domain and raises Wang Hao to the same rank as their opponent 575.
- Supplies phantom Class Cards to temporarily complete his ring 622.
- Alters the Chat Group’s judgment so that the Gods and Devils Realms can become a mission world after Present Li Ping’s death, according to Past Li Ping’s explanation 596.
- Is not an unconditional answer to Lin Feng, whose Beyond Heaven can nullify Golden Finger powers subject to their priority 604.
Omniscience and Information Gathering
Colorful Entry: Omniscience lets Past Li Ping learn the events of Chen Fan’s second group mission despite not observing his use of Ten Gates directly 596.
- Li Ping demonstrates mind-reading, but Chen Fan prevents further extraction by erasing his true spirit’s memories 313.
- Past Li Ping claims he can observe the future through Chen Fan’s perspectives, including his clones 370.
- One golden entry allows Li Ping to observe Chen Fan’s conversation with Lin Feng through the Spacetime Token’s light screen 592.
- Chen Fan’s unobservable rainbow talent remains outside Past Li Ping’s direct knowledge 596.
The Last Supper
Golden Entry: The Last Supper establishes a connection to a memory scene anchored to the moment Li Ping obtained it. Past Li Ping initially presents it as a single-use opportunity to trade with Chen Fan without consequences, while admitting that this description is incomplete 363.
- Enables communication between Past Li Ping and Chen Fan across their temporal positions 363.
- Allows some of Past Li Ping’s entry powers to reach through the connection 621 622.
- Its activation conditions are disputed: the apparent Present Li Ping claims voluntary activation is possible, while Past Li Ping later insists that projecting the scene requires his present self’s death 584 597.
- The voluntary activation claim comes from the figure subsequently identified as Zero’s replacement 585 598.
Supreme Primordial Unity Sage Dao Fruit
This entry places Past Li Ping in a state beyond ordinary dimensional measurements, enabling him to destroy the higher-dimensional level and strike from the sealed past toward the future 606.
- Its influence reaches Chen Fan through his observation of the past, threatening to overwrite and replace him 605.
- Chen Fan escapes after the Primordial Chaos Bell briefly frees him to activate Ten Gates 605.
- Lin Feng manifests an identical Dao Fruit through Time Shepherding and overwhelms Li Ping’s outward power 607.
- The account calls it Colorful during the duel and Rainbow in Past Li Ping’s later explanation 607 621.
True Heaven and True Eighteen Levels of Hell
These entries manifest genuinely existing Great Realms whose powers cannot simply be dismissed as ordinary entry-generated effects 617.
| Great Realm | Documented Benefits |
|---|---|
| True Heaven | Infinite merit and magical power, repeated resurrection, immunity to sealing, an eternal soul, absolute judgment, and increased damage against karmic sin 617. |
| True Eighteen Levels of Hell | Indestructibility, infinite judgment and mighty power, increased damage against merit, and the imposition of boundless karmic sin upon entrants 617. |
- Both realms possess a unique true nature and cannot be copied by Lin Feng’s Twin Blossoms 617.
- They replace the Heavenly and Earthly Daos; Li Ping replaces the Humanity Dao through Omniscience and Omnipotence 617.
- Li Ping resurrects after Lin Feng annihilates him, but explicitly ties his survival to the realms remaining intact 617.
- He deliberately leaves both realms incomplete rather than bringing forth their corresponding supreme beings 618.
Thousand-Lifetime Fate-Reversing Book
The Colorful Entry: Thousand-Lifetime Fate-Reversing Book is a stolen Golden Finger ability that reverses fate through reincarnation rather than save-reloading 619 625.
- Retains the user’s abilities and can strengthen them beyond existing limits 619.
- Displays lifetime records and Fate-Reversal Points when activated 620.
- Its priority is expected to match Lin Feng’s nullification ability because it originated from another Golden Finger 619.
- Past Zero exploits I Am the Mastermind to force Li Ping to use the book on him 620 626.
Other Entries
| Entry | Grade | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Kill Enemies for Reward Drops | Golden | Grants rewards for killing enemies 313. |
| I Am Not Myself | Golden | Temporarily frees Li Ping from the Chat Group’s rules, allowing attacks on fellow members 313. |
| Voices of All Things | Purple | Associated with reading thoughts; Past Li Ping initially claims it cannot operate across spacetime 362. |
| Unnamed lie-detection entry | Golden | Claimed to detect lies during the question-and-answer game 312. |
Equipment and Items
- Priest Hat and robes — His usual outward equipment while presenting himself as the Hero Party’s Priest 248 267.
- True Treasures — Gifts from Chen Fan, who considers them comparable to divine artifacts under the Gods and Devils Realms’ classifications 268.
- Colorful Class Card: Zero Returner — Creates an isolated space used to shut out higher-dimensional observers during negotiations 313 316.
- Nine Colorful Class Cards — Correspond to the realm’s nine fundamental sources and form the flawless ring used by peak Past Li Ping; known cards include Zero Returner and Creator 600 604.
- Two-card simulated ring — Produces one later copy of Past Li Ping; it nearly perishes under the second level of Chen Fan’s Judgment talent 523 525.
Relationships
- Chen Fan — Benefactor, investment partner, and recurring enemy. Li Ping accepts his treasures and assistance, then repeatedly schemes against him. Chen Fan eventually concludes that Li Ping wants to steal the Simulator and fears his future strength 268 311 749.
- Wang Hao — Powerful backer and frequent collaborator. Li Ping initially flatters him, later raises his rank in battle, and coordinates negotiation demands with him against Chen Fan 248 575 584.
- Lin Feng — Fellow Otherworldly Demon and formidable opponent. Past Li Ping respects his strength, fights him with numerous trump cards, and attempts to survive through fate-reversing reincarnation 382 388 603 619.
- Ning Chen — Opponent credited with killing Li Ping in one simulation. Chen Fan later suspects that cooperation between Future Ning Chen and Past Li Ping may complicate the apparent circumstances of that death 341 478.
- Zero / Past Zero — Rival who replaces Present Li Ping and manipulates Past Li Ping into granting access to the Fate-Reversing Book. Their conflict centers partly on control of Li Ping’s present identity 598 620 650.
- Wu Yong — Fellow Chat Group member who knows about Past Li Ping’s schemes. He argues that sending Chen Fan to the Gods and Devils Realms provided a chance to survive an otherwise unavoidable threat 488.
