Nature and Cultivation

Mental Power is used to guide Soul Power through a Soul Master's meridians during Meditation. Greater Mental Power improves the range and depth of perception, allowing a cultivator to sense finer changes in Soul Power circulation, frequency, structure, and external energy. 26 50

Soul Power cultivation and Mental Power reinforce one another: Mental Power guides cultivation, while expanded perception gathers more information and tempers perception further. Han Tao describes this relationship as a self-reinforcing cycle. 50

At the Soul King stage, Mental Power normally undergoes a hidden transformation. Ning Rongrong's transformation notably improved her calculation ability, enabling her to split her focus nine ways; Han Tao's own transformation was delayed or altered by Purple Demon Eyes and Faith Power. 241

The known Mental Power System consists of Spirit Origin, Spirit Connection, Spirit Sea, Spirit Abyss, and Spirit Domain Realms. Reaching Titled Douluo grants the rudiments of Spiritual Detection and corresponds to the authority of the Spirit Connection Realm. 501

Purple Demon Eyes absorbs Purple Qi at sunrise through the eyes and integrates it into the Spiritual Body within the sea of consciousness. Its realm determines the scale at which Purple Qi can be absorbed, while existing Mental Power determines how much external Purple Qi can be drawn in. 157 297

Faith Power is another external force capable of strengthening Mental Power and altering the state of the Spiritual Body. It contributed to the abnormality in Han Tao's Soul King-stage Mental Power transformation. 241 297

Spiritual Splitting

The Advanced Distraction Control Method can divide Mental Power and the Spiritual Body through Soul Vibration. Han Tao initially divided his Mental Power among his Soul Ring, Soul Bone, and Martial Soul, but concluded that consciousness must remain the ultimate controller of all power. 73
