Background / History
According to an elderly human resident of Dora Star, Insectoids were originally created by an unnamed scientist and used as laborers by humanity. A powerful Insectoid later comprehended Law/Principle, reached the Peak Expert stage, mastered eighteen Laws, replicated vast numbers of Insectoids, and overthrew Dora Star’s human civilization. 488
The race’s reverence for queens is central to its power structure. In Dora Star’s Underworld Realm, the Insectoids dominate other stellar races under the protection of the Eighteen Queens—remnants of ancient Insectoid queens. 434 Their ancestral tradition also recognizes eighteen ancestors, each capable of producing a Law Core. 342
During the conflict around the Enlightenment, Insectoid generals and priests mobilized massive forces against the War Planet delegation. Their leadership initially expected the revival of their queen to shift the balance of power. 317 333 Baiguo later emerged as the Insectoid Race’s High Priest after three centuries of cultivation and became the leading voice in its campaign against the War Planet delegation. 341
Appearance
Insectoids possess highly varied forms derived from different insect species. Many have insect-like heads or features paired with humanoid lower bodies, while others retain more beastlike bodies.
- Known forms include Centipede People, Mantis People, Spider People, Beetle People, Wasp-people, Black Ant Insectoids, Ladybug Humans, Rhinoceros Beetle Insectoids, and Cockroach People. 310 341 460 773
- Some aquatic-looking members resemble lobsters and crabs, yet identify themselves as Insectoids rather than fish or crustaceans. 770 773
- Elite Insectoids may possess wings or other natural flight organs, allowing them to move through anti-air restrictions that impede outsiders. 482
- Rare-Body Insectoids are humanoid elite specimens created by Queen Hera through Law Power rather than a naturally separate tribe. 448

Abilities & Traits
Extreme Evolution and Numbers
The Insectoids’ long development and predatory survival environment produce physically formidable members. Their civilization relies heavily on overwhelming population numbers.
- Insectoids on Dora Star have evolved for tens of thousands of years through an environment where weak members can be devoured by stronger ones. 304
- Ordinary Dora Star Insectoids generally possess Third or Fourth Stage strength. 432
- Large swarms can threaten even high-level combatants through sheer numbers; billions of Fallen Insectoids are present in the Underworld Realm. 432
- Low-tier Insectoids can nevertheless be rapidly slaughtered by War Planet mechanical guards and light-energy firearms. 333 343
Law Power
The race’s ancestral Laws grant specialized abilities and form the basis of its strongest defenses.
- Each of the eighteen ancestors can produce a Law Core. 342
- Known Laws include Armor Law, which provides defensive power, and a heat-based Law wielded through the Third Ancestor’s Law Core. 338 342
- Insectoid ancestral sites impose harsher restrictions on outsiders while allowing Insectoids to retain functions such as flight. 482
- The Queens can combine their Laws in coordinated combat. 458
Faith-Based Revival
Insectoids can restore fallen members through prayer if they have not been completely annihilated.
- Revival is not without cost. 431
- This capability is tied to the race’s collective faith in its queens and ancestral power. 431 434
Rare Species and Rare-Body Insectoids
Rare variants differ significantly from ordinary Insectoids.
- Rare Species Insectoids are powerful mutated specimens that may lack sentience or intelligence. 434
- Rare Species accompanying Bai Hengshan were stated to be at least Ninth Stage. 434
- Rare-Body Insectoids were created by Queen Hera by transforming elite Insectoids from other tribes. 448
- Names assigned by Hera can bind Rare-Body Insectoids to her control; Zhu Wen avoided this restriction because Bai Hengshan named him. 448
Major Factions
- Insectoid Queen and Generals — Centipede General Thousand-Legs and Fat Mantis led attacks around the Enlightenment while awaiting their queen’s revival. 316 324

Story Role / Major Arcs
Enlightenment Conflict
Insectoid activity near the Enlightenment included Centipede People, the suspected resurrection of Black Fang, and the disappearance of Mogu Prince. 310 315 Centipede and Mantis Generals attacked the Enlightenment, but retreated after Mogu’s return while promising vengeance once their queen revived. 317 The conflict escalated into a full siege by the Insectoid army. 333
Queen Revival and Priesthood War
After the Chaos Demonic Blade killed the Centipede General, Mo Wu warned that the Insectoid Queen was likely reviving. 324 Baiguo later led the race as High Priest, confronting the War Planet delegation with an army containing many insect forms and priest-held Law Cores. 341 342
Dora Star Underworld Realm
In the Underworld Realm, Insectoids hold territorial dominance through their immense population and the protection of the Eighteen Queens. 434 The realm contains both rational Pure Ones and irrational Fallen Ones; Fallen Insectoids attack nearby rational creatures indiscriminately. 432
Hera’s Incubation Grounds
Ye Liang infiltrated Hera’s territory to investigate Bai Hengshan and encountered Rare-Body Insectoids. 446 448 Zhu Wen revealed that Hera created Rare-Body Insectoids from elite members of other tribes and controlled most of them through their names. 448
Outer Domain and Naga Conflict
Aquatic Insectoids aided Ye Liang’s search for an antidote by directing him toward the Lost Ancient Capital. 770 771 Insectoid operatives, including Mika, infiltrated the Naga Race, and their planned offensive coincided with a queen’s egg-laying ritual. 771 772 Ye Liang and Mika later entered the territory of a Bee-person Queen amid changing Insectoid leadership. 806
Trivia
- Insectoids insist that lobster- and crab-like members are insects, not aquatic animals. 770
- The race’s appearance is so diverse that even other Insectoids questioned whether lobster- and crab-like beings were truly their kin. 773
- Insectoid ancestral trials can become lethal even to Insectoids when their own Laws turn the environment into a death trap. 482
