Arc 9The First Holy Grail Battle

The Holy Church expanded its power across the seas, defeated the Marines’ resistance, and drew pirates and adventurers into its new order. Robin joined the Church, and the First Holy Grail Battle began with the contestants transported away.

  • The Holy Church defeated Shiki’s attack on Cocoyasi Village, protected its residents, and publicized the victory as the Five Elders formed a pirate alliance.
  • Zephyr and Sengoku rejected the World Government’s alliance with pirates, and Sengoku led the departing Marines toward the East Blue before joining the Holy Church’s Adventurers’ Guild.
  • The Church announced the Ladder Tournament, drawing fighters from across the world as Ace set out to become the strongest Adventurer and Luffy decided to sail early to compete.

Arc 10The Ladder and the New World

The Adventurers conquered the Celestial Ladder, and Senior won the Holy Grail to restore his family. The Holy Church then helped topple the World Government, formed a new federation, and sent clerics to protect Cursed Children in a hostile world.

  • Hawk-Eye and the Adventurers fought their way up the Celestial Ladder, defeating its shinobi and guardians at great cost before reaching the final trials.
  • Kaguya trapped Ace, Jozu, Kaido, and Senior in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but Senior broke free and used the Holy Grail to restore Lucian and their son.

Aiki and the Holy Light Office fought for the Cursed Children, defeated Scorpio, and faced growing hostility after a deadly riot. Ordered to leave Tokyo, they began escorting the girls out as the crowd turned against them.

  • Aiki defended the Manor and the Cursed Children from hostile residents, then took abused children into the Holy Light Office’s care during a confrontation at the Tokyo Defense Department.
  • Seitenshi entrusted the Holy Light Office with the mission to recover the Seven-Star Relic, and Aiki refused to let the agencies send the children into battle.

After expanding Academy City and extending the Church’s reach across nations, Ria led an expedition into a new world and encountered the Windrunner sisters in Quel'Thalas.

  • Elsa welcomed Tina into the Holy Light Clerics, and Tina joined the children as they left Tokyo and settled in a protected coastal city.
