Ch. 1Becoming an Ork Boy

Cheng Mingrui awoke as an Ork amid a battle against human soldiers and was swept up in the Orks’ Waaagh. After Clever Git’s explosives weakened the enemy fire, Cheng Mingrui joined the attack with a Heavy Machine Gun, leaving his new identity and fate unresolved.

  • Cleverhead mistook Cheng Mingrui’s confusion for stupidity, armed him, and led him toward the human soldiers.
  • Clever Git urged Cheng Mingrui to fight, and Cheng Mingrui roared Waaagh before killing humans with a Choppa and a pistol.
  • Human soldiers poured into the corridor with Lasguns, forcing Cheng Mingrui and the Gretchin to take cover behind a metal wall.
  • Clever Git called Cheng Mingrui a wannabe Big Mek, prompting Gretchin and Ork Boyz to bring weapons and explosive Squigs.
  • The explosive Squigs damaged the human lines, and Cheng Mingrui seized a Heavy Machine Gun and fired as the Orks’ Waaagh surged through the corridor.

Ch. 2Boss Slick

Cheng Mingrui helped the Orks crush the human defensive line and, after the Waaagh faded, considered how to survive by becoming a Boss. Clever Git brought him a pile of battlefield loot, including a plasma gun Cheng Mingrui eagerly claimed, while Clever Git believed he had figured out how to manipulate him.

  • Cheng Mingrui and the Orks overwhelmed the human defenders, with Cheng Mingrui mowing down soldiers using a massive shoota fed by Clever Git and other Gretchin.
  • The human line collapsed, and the surviving soldiers were killed as the Orks finished routing them.
  • When the Waaagh ended, Cheng Mingrui accidentally sat on a Gretchin and then used another Gretchin to wipe his backside.
  • Cheng Mingrui decided that becoming the strongest, biggest, most brutal, and most cunning Boss would let him enjoy fighting without getting krumped.
  • Clever Git led Gretchin carrying scavenged loot to Cheng Mingrui and presented him with a plasma gun, which Cheng Mingrui eagerly examined.

Ch. 3Ork Plasma Gun

Cheng Mingrui could not use the human Plasma Gun until Mekboy Cleverhead modified it into a larger, Orky weapon. Cleverhead then put Cheng Mingrui in charge of the Orks and ordered him to lead them to the Engine Room to kill the humans and protect the ship’s engines.

  • Cheng Mingrui discovered his fingers would not fit inside the Plasma Gun’s trigger guard and slapped a nearby Gretchin in frustration.
  • Cleverhead arrived with Ork Nobs, questioned Cheng Mingrui about the missing human soldiers, and threatened him with his mechanical claw.
  • Clever Git persuaded Cleverhead that Cheng Mingrui had led the Orks to victory and found the Plasma Gun for a future Big Mek.
  • Cleverhead took the Plasma Gun, modified it with scrap parts, and handed Cheng Mingrui the red-painted weapon.
  • Cleverhead ordered Cheng Mingrui to lead the Orks to the Engine Room and stop the humans from blowing up the engines.
  • The Orks gathered around Cheng Mingrui, some began wrestling, and Clever Git took charge of the Gretchin and sang his praise.

Ch. 4Equipment upgrade

Cheng Mingrui accepted life as an Ork Boss and organized the Boyz to prepare for a fight with the Humies in the Engine Room. After three hours, his force had grown to over a thousand Boyz and gained heavy weapons and two Killa Kans, but they still needed to find the Engine Room.

  • Cheng Mingrui slapped the Ork Boyz into submission and ordered them to wait for more weapons before heading to the Engine Room.
  • Clever Git volunteered to lead Cheng Mingrui there, then disappeared with a group of Gretchin and Squigs.
  • Cheng Mingrui ordered Iron Claw to gather more Boyz and told the Meks and Mekboys to build weapons and vehicles, paying them with Teef.
  • Iron Claw doubled the Boyz to over a thousand, while the Mekboys armed them and assembled two Killa Kans.
  • As Cheng Mingrui wondered where the Engine Room was and thought of punishing Clever Git, someone shouted "Boss Slick!" from behind the Boyz.

Ch. 5The Warp

Cheng Mingrui recruited the Weirdboy Kuka to guide the Orks toward the human Engine Room, while Clever Git offered a backup plan using Squigs. Kuka pointed the Orks toward three passages, and the Boyz charged into all of them, leaving Cheng Mingrui stunned.

  • Clever Git returned to Cheng Mingrui and claimed he had found a Weirdboy who could guide them to the Engine Room.
  • Cheng Mingrui questioned whether the Weirdboy's Waaagh! power could provide directions, while Clever Git suggested using Squigs to track the humans.
  • The Weirdboy introduced himself as Kuka and preached about Gork and Mork before Cheng Mingrui ordered him to find the Engine Room.
  • Kuka performed a ritual and pointed toward three passages, telling the Orks to Waaagh! that way.
  • The Ork Boyz shouted and charged into all three passages, astonishing Cheng Mingrui.

Ch. 6The Astra Militarum's elite

Cheng Mingrui led the Orks against an elite human defensive position, where his modified Plasma Gun and Kuka's Waaagh energy helped break the defenders' heavy-weapon line. The Boyz charged through the gap as the Killa Kan joined the assault.

  • Cheng Mingrui led his Orks into a narrow passage defended by several hundred elite human soldiers and two Heavy Stubbers.
  • The Boyz traded fire with the humans, and an Ardboy's explosive charge briefly disrupted the defenders but failed to break their line.
  • Cheng Mingrui fired his Plasma Gun and destroyed one Heavy Stubber emplacement with a single shot.
  • The humans launched missiles at Cheng Mingrui, but Kuka used Waaagh energy to whip them back into the defensive position.
  • Cheng Mingrui destroyed the second Heavy Stubber, then led the Boyz in a renewed charge against the weakened human line.
  • The Killa Kan charged through the smoke, firing its Big Dakkas as the Gretchin inside joined the fight.

Ch. 7Facing steel

Cheng Mingrui led the Orks through a human defensive line, then into a warship’s Macro-cannon loading bay, where overwhelming firepower forced them to retreat. He realized a direct assault was impossible and began planning a sneak attack.

  • The Killa Kan and Ardboys attacked the human defenses, and Cheng Mingrui led the Orks in a Waaagh! that wiped out the defenders.
  • Cheng Mingrui gathered his followers, upgraded their weapons, and led them farther down the passage.
  • An earthquake-like tremor led Cheng Mingrui and the Orks to a vast loading bay where human laborers loaded enormous shells into Macro-cannons.
  • Human guards and armored vehicles devastated the charging Orks, destroying the Killa Kan and forcing Cheng Mingrui to order a retreat.
  • Cheng Mingrui recognized the bay as a warship’s weapons section and decided to seek a way to launch a sneak attack.

Ch. 8An argument

Cheng Mingrui prepared a surprise attack inside the Glory Knight while the damaged Imperial cruiser faced an Ork warship in space. After Clever Git’s Squigs found the guarded passages to the Macro-cannon loading bay, Cheng Mingrui chose the direction of the main assault.

  • Cheng Mingrui sent Clever Git and a pack of Squigs to scout the passages, ordered Mekboys to build anti-armor weapons and reinforce the Killa Can, and selected Bomm Boyz as his secret trump card.
  • The Glory Knight, an Imperial cruiser monitoring the Ork civil war, was ambushed by three Ork pirate warships and boarded by Orks.
  • Captain Pex berated his soldiers for failing to eliminate the Orks aboard, but Commissar Japhard defended them and ordered Pex to meet the approaching enemy ship.
  • Pex maneuvered the Glory Knight into firing position and opened fire with its Macro-cannons as the Ork warship launched Space Torpedoes.
  • Clever Git’s Squigs reported that every passage to the loading area was guarded by human soldiers, and Cheng Mingrui studied the map before choosing the main assault’s direction.

Ch. 9A feint to the east, a strike to the west

Cheng Mingrui used expendable Gretchin and Squigs to probe the Astra Militarum’s defenses, then feinted toward one position while breaking through another with Ork Boyz and a modified Killa Kan. As the Commissar concentrated his armor against the machine, a massive explosion tore open the loading bay wall and engulfed half his mechanized regiment.

  • Gretchin and Squigs attacked from several passages, but the Astra Militarum held the line and drove them back.
  • Cheng Mingrui sent a fiercer second wave toward two directions, then launched Ardboyz through a weakly defended passage as Ork Shootas suppressed the defenders.
  • The Astra Militarum counterattacked with Leman Russ Tanks and Chimera Transports, while melta beams damaged two Sentinels and struck a tank.
  • A modified Killa Kan emerged and disabled a Leman Russ Tank, prompting the Commissar to concentrate most of his armor and heavy firepower against it.
  • A huge explosion ripped open a loading bay wall and swept molten iron into the Commissar’s forces, destroying half his mechanized regiment.

Ch. 10The big blast

Cheng Mingrui’s Orks shattered the Astra Militarum’s defenses with a surprise assault, but the Commissar rallied the surviving soldiers around their vehicles. Cheng Mingrui then set out to kill the Commissar, as the Orks spread word of a one-on-one challenge.

  • The Commissar endured the blast, rallied his panicked guardsmen, and led a counterattack against the Orks.
  • Cheng Mingrui’s Burner Boyz and Bomm Boyz poured through the breach, burning Astra Militarum positions and destroying its armor.
  • Cheng Mingrui assembled a weapon combining a rocket launcher and a Plasma Gun while the Orks pressed their attack.
  • The Commissar held a defensive line with guardsmen around several Leman Russ Tanks and Chimera Transports.
  • Cheng Mingrui ordered Clever Git to gather the strongest Orks so he could kill the Commissar, and the challenge spread through both forces.

Ch. 11Ork Knowledge

Cheng Mingrui accepted the Commissar’s challenge to a duel, but struggled against the human’s speed and skill. He realized the Orks’ belief that the Commissar was the legendary Old One-Eye was empowering him, leaving Cheng Mingrui in grave danger.

  • Cheng Mingrui challenged the Commissar to a duel and handed his Plasma Gun to Weirdboy before advancing with Iron Claw’s Choppa.
  • The Commissar rejected a surprise attack and charged Cheng Mingrui with his Chainsword, believing a duel was their only hope of survival.
  • Cheng Mingrui and the Commissar traded blows, and the Commissar’s speed and strength kept him from being overwhelmed.
  • Cheng Mingrui heard the Orks compare the Commissar to Old One-Eye and realized their belief was strengthening the human through Ork Logic.
  • Cheng Mingrui feared the Boyz’ belief would make the Commissar as deadly as Old One-Eye and leave him unable to survive.

Ch. 12Mork's Chosen

Cheng Mingrui convinced the Orks that Mork had chosen him, then killed the Commissar and led his forces to victory in the loading bay. When over a thousand new Ork Boyz burst into the bay, Cheng Mingrui quickly brought them under his command.

  • Cheng Mingrui persuaded the Orks that Mork had blessed him, and Clever Git backed up his claim while Kuka began to doubt himself.
  • Cheng Mingrui split the Commissar in half with his Choppa, and the Orks charged forward and slaughtered the remaining human soldiers and laborers.
  • Green light from the Commissar flowed into Cheng Mingrui and his Boyz, making them bigger and stronger, though their force had suffered heavy losses.
  • A missile-like cylinder burst through the loading bay wall, releasing more than a thousand Ork Boyz who found the humans already defeated.
  • Cheng Mingrui subdued the new Boyz by striking their heads and brought them under his command.

Ch. 13Macro-cannon salvo

Pex struggled to keep the damaged Glory Knight alive as an Ork warship closed in and battered its void shields. After completing a dangerous turn, the cruiser brought its intact macro-cannons to bear and tore apart a fifth of the enemy ship, leaving the bridge crew cheering.

  • Pex ordered the Glory Knight to reload and fire while its crew reported Ork torpedo damage and disabled macro-cannon batteries.
  • Pex ordered the cruiser to turn and concentrate void shields on the stern as Ork boarding parties and fighters threatened the ship.
  • The Ork warship accelerated and unleashed heavy fire, forcing Pex to doubt the Glory Knight could survive the engagement.
  • Japhard took his Kasrkin Kill Team to defend the approaches to the bridge and ordered Pex to keep performing his duties.
  • Pex ordered the Glory Knight to continue turning and reserve engine power as the Ork warship fired on it at close range.
  • The Glory Knight completed its turn and fired its intact macro-cannon array across the Ork warship's T, blasting away a fifth of its structure.

Ch. 14Joining up with Cleverhead

Cheng Mingrui joined forces with Cleverhead to seize the Glory Knight’s bridge while sending Iron Claw and half his forces to capture the Engine Room. Cleverhead agreed to work with him but claimed the ship for himself, recognized Cheng Mingrui as an equal, and gave him a suit of Power Armour.

  • Pex ordered the Glory Knight’s crew to face the Ork Pirate ship and prepare to ram it, while Cheng Mingrui decided to help Cleverhead take the bridge.
  • Cheng Mingrui sent Iron Claw and half the Boys to capture the Engine Room and hurried with the rest toward the bridge.
  • Cheng Mingrui caught up with Cleverhead and explained that the battle was critical and that he had already sent troops to the Engine Room.
  • Cleverhead agreed to work with Cheng Mingrui on the condition that the ship would be his, offering Cheng Mingrui Teef, Boys, and help building a smaller pirate ship instead.
  • Cleverhead recognized Cheng Mingrui as an equal, warned him against acting like a Humie, and made him a suit of Power Armour.

Ch. 15Krakka Teleporter

Cheng Mingrui donned Cleverhead’s Power Armour and learned that a Krakka Teleporter could get an Ork behind the human defensive line. Cleverhead teleported into the defenders’ rear to create an opening, where Commissar Japhard’s forces quickly concentrated fire on him.

  • Cleverhead helped Cheng Mingrui put on the Power Armour and explained that the Orks could not break through the narrow passage head-on.
  • Cheng Mingrui recognized that the Krakka Teleporter could move someone behind the human line, and Cleverhead proposed teleporting himself there while Cheng Mingrui led the Boyz through the passage.
  • Cheng Mingrui agreed to organize the Boyz’ attack, though he worried that Cleverhead was trusting him too readily.
  • Cleverhead appeared behind the defensive line in a flash of yellow light and attacked the Astra Militarum troops, while his Force Field deflected their fire and struck them with lightning.
  • Commissar Japhard ordered the Kasrkin to suppress Cleverhead and called for meltagun and plasma fire as his Force Field began to falter.

Ch. 16Kuka, you can do it

Cheng Mingrui convinced Kuka to unleash his psychic power, teleporting Cheng Mingrui and the Mega Bosses into the human defensive line and turning the battle into a chaotic assault. Cleverhead and Commissar Japhard fought fiercely, while a wounded Meltagun gunner crawled toward his weapon and aimed at Cleverhead.

  • Cleverhead destroyed a turret and battled Commissar Japhard as the Kasrkin supported the commissar with coordinated fire.
  • Cheng Mingrui encouraged Kuka to believe he was Gork and Mork’s messenger and could use his growing psychic power to transport the Orks.
  • Kuka hurled Cheng Mingrui and the Mega Bosses through the passage, where they crashed into the human fortifications and joined the assault with the Ork Boyz.
  • Cleverhead unleashed a storm of scrap metal against Japhard and the troops, but Japhard severed Cleverhead’s arm and damaged the generator powering his yellow field.
  • Japhard and Cleverhead clashed with their Power Sword and Power Klaw as a wounded Meltagun gunner crawled to his weapon and aimed at Cleverhead.

Ch. 17For the Emperor

Cheng Mingrui saved Cleverhead from Japhard and arranged for a Painboy to repair his wounds. Recovered and eager to claim the warship, Cleverhead led the Orks onward to capture the bridge.

  • After a dying Astra Militarum gunner wounded Cleverhead, Japhard nearly killed him, but Cheng Mingrui shot Japhard with a Shoota.
  • Cheng Mingrui summoned a Painboy, who replaced Cleverhead’s damaged organs and attached a new arm.
  • Cleverhead recovered quickly, honored Japhard as a worthy opponent, and explained his understanding of the Emperor to the Orks.
  • Cleverhead insisted on continuing to the bridge to claim the warship, and Cheng Mingrui rallied the Boyz to follow him.

Ch. 18An ambush

The Glory Knight escaped the Ork warship by feinting during a ramming clash and entering the Warp. Aboard the captured ship, Cheng Mingrui learned that Tyranids were ambushing the Orks and rushed to rescue Cleverhead, leaving the fight unresolved.

  • The Glory Knight dodged the Ork warship's ram, damaged its engine, then escaped through a Warp rift.
  • Cleverhead and Cheng Mingrui advanced toward the bridge after the ship stopped shaking.
  • Kuka connected Cheng Mingrui to Iron Claw, who warned him that Tyranids were attacking the Orks in the engine room.
  • Cheng Mingrui ordered Iron Claw to hold the engine room and kill the Tyranids while keeping it intact.
  • Cheng Mingrui and the Boyz reached Cleverhead, who was surrounded and being torn apart by Genestealers, and shot down his attackers.
  • More Genestealers poured from the ceiling vents to block Cheng Mingrui and the Boyz, while Cleverhead's fate remained uncertain.

Ch. 19Dark Age

Cheng Mingrui and Cleverhead broke through the Gitz blocking their advance and fought their way onto the bridge, where Genestealers had taken control of Captain Pex and the warship. The Mega Bosses faced a larger group of stronger Gitz, and their brutal battle began with the ship and its crew caught in the middle.

  • Cheng Mingrui, Cleverhead, and the Orks broke through the Gitz blocking force, while the surviving Gitz fled through the vents.
  • Cleverhead freed himself from the Gitz biting him and led the Orks onward to stop the bugs from causing more trouble.
  • On the bridge, Genestealers infected the humans and controlled Captain Pex as he guided the warship toward an unknown destination.
  • Cleverhead kicked down the bridge hatch and warned the Orks not to damage his ship as they confronted the stronger Gitz.
  • A throwing axe struck a Git, and Cheng Mingrui and the Mega Bosses charged into battle against the Gitz.

Ch. 20I have a dream

After the Orks and Gitz wiped out the Tyranid Swarm, Cheng Mingrui rested beside Cleverhead and heard the story of his lifelong dream to make music. Cleverhead gave up on his artistic ambitions and said he was going to die.

  • The Orks and Gitz fought the Tyranid Swarm until every Tyranid was dead, leaving the bridge covered in Ork corpses.
  • Cheng Mingrui collapsed from exhaustion, and Cleverhead returned to sit beside him after kicking Clever Git away.
  • Cleverhead told Cheng Mingrui how he had been bullied for loving music, fought his way to becoming a boss, and hoped to find Boyz who would appreciate his songs.
  • Cleverhead explained that he joined the Pirate Fleet to become a Big Mek and build a ship filled with instruments and speakers so his music could inspire the Orks.
  • Cleverhead said he could not make good instruments and had accepted that his story might end without making art, adding that he was going to die.
