Ch. 1I'm a planet?

Zhang Yang awakened as a planet and named himself Blue Star’s Star Lord, learning that he had to develop life to gain power. He created a sun and accelerated time, then woke after a hundred thousand years to find Blue Star’s ice melting and its atmosphere forming.

  • Zhang Yang realized he had transmigrated into a planet, awakened his planetary consciousness, and named his planet Blue Star.
  • Zhang Yang learned that Star Lords gained power from their Starfolk and that creating life required energy, time, and suitable conditions.
  • Zhang Yang chose to create humans and spent 300 energy points to form a sun that orbited Blue Star.
  • Zhang Yang accelerated time tenfold and fell asleep as the sun warmed Blue Star.
  • After a hundred thousand years passed on Blue Star, Zhang Yang woke, worried about his remaining 700 energy points, and sensed the planet.

Ch. 2The evolution of life, a dinosaur paradise

Zhang Yang accelerated Blue Star’s evolution from the first cells to a world ruled by dinosaurs and other enormous creatures. He then sensed a spherical object approaching from space and wondered whether it was a meteorite about to strike the planet.

  • Zhang Yang used energy and accelerated time to turn simple ocean molecules into cells, then fostered cyanobacteria, oxygen-producing life, and eukaryotes.
  • Continents rose and shifted as volcanoes erupted, while sponges and a multitude of early plants and animals appeared.
  • Fish, amphibians, insects, and reptiles evolved, and Zhang Yang watched giant creatures dominate Blue Star’s land, skies, and oceans.
  • Reptiles gave rise to the ancestors of dinosaurs and mammals, and Blue Star became a dinosaur paradise without extreme climate events or meteorite impacts.
  • Zhang Yang stopped accelerating time and sensed a spherical object flying toward Blue Star from the distant universe.

Ch. 3Starry Sky Virtual Platform

Zhang Yang received recognition from the Cosmic Elders Council and gained access to the Starry Sky Virtual Platform, where he discovered a marketplace for enslaved beings from defeated planets. He left the platform unsettled after learning that the pigfolk he had met had been bought and removed from the marketplace.

  • Zhang Yang opened the Council's gift, registered as Blue Star's lord, and learned the planet ranked 921st in the Local Interstellar Cloud's New Star Potential Showcase.
  • Zhang Yang received 600 energy points, a one-use defensive shield, and a Beast Taming skill card, then entered the Starry Sky Virtual Platform.
  • Zhang Yang explored the platform's Slave Trading Zone and met a pig-headed beastman who offered to guide him and sell his family.
  • A tiger-headed man announced that the pigfolk had been purchased, causing the pig-headed beastman to vanish from the platform.
  • The tiger-headed man explained that he and the other slaves were spoils of war from defeated planets, leaving Zhang Yang disturbed.

Ch. 4Origins, the birth of humanity

Zhang Yang accelerated the evolution of apes until they became humans, guiding them to fire and teaching them the word “human.” The human race was born as tribes repeated the name.

  • Zhang Yang learned that level-one civilizations had few trade options and that no one he asked had heard of the human race.
  • Zhang Yang spent energy accelerating and guiding primates until Mara Apes and then Forest Apes appeared.
  • The Forest Apes evolved upright, formed groups, and developed tools and spears for hunting.
  • The apes spread beyond their forest, became nearly human in appearance, and learned to preserve and use fire.
  • Zhang Yang formed a figure from clouds and taught a tribal leader how to make fire and the word “human.”
  • The leader and neighboring tribes repeated “human,” and the human race was born.

Ch. 5Sage of Humanity-Suirenshi

Zhang Yang guided Sui in learning fire-making and writing, and Sui spread those skills across Blue Star, advancing humanity. After leading the tribes for decades and passing his knowledge to Fuxi and Nuwa, Sui died revered as the Ancestor of Fire, while Zhang Yang mourned him from the sky.

  • Zhang Yang taught the tribal chief to make fire, then spent three years giving him written characters and knowledge.
  • Zhang Yang named the chief Sui, called his tribe Suirenshi, and asked him to pass fire and writing on to humanity before disappearing.
  • Sui taught his tribe writing, fire-making, fishing, counting, and hunting, and Suirenshi spread its knowledge and branches across Blue Star.
  • Sui married Yanzishi, whose rope-making and knot-counting skills helped their tribes form an alliance; their children Fuxi and Nuwa later took command of the patriarchal and matriarchal tribes.
  • After a long life of teaching and traveling, Sui died after declaring that he had fulfilled Father God's expectations, and people mourned him as the Ancestor of Fire.
  • Zhang Yang watched Sui's death from the sky and summoned fierce winds, lightning, thunder, and heavy rain.

Ch. 6The Three Sovereigns Period, Xuanyuan

Under the successive Fuxi-Nuwa, Shennong, and Xuanyuan regimes, humanity grew in population and civilization until the Xuanyuan Tribe defeated the Flame Emperor's tribe and became a leading power. After the Yellow Emperor introduced bronze tools and weapons, the tribe discovered another large tribe in the distant north.

  • Fuxi and Nuwa unified tribes, established new forms of governance and culture, and expanded humanity's population during their rule.
  • After Fuxi's death, Nuwa passed power to her son, and Shennong rose to prominence as the tribes developed farming, crafts, and trade.
  • As Shennong declined, Xuanyuan secretly gathered allies and defeated the Flame Emperor's tribe in the Yan-Huang War in year 2731 of the Blue Era.
  • The Xuanyuan Tribe and the Flame Emperor's tribe developed alongside each other, while Xuanyuan strengthened its military and began forging bronze under the Yellow Emperor's guidance.
  • The Yellow Emperor's tribe discovered a large tribe in the distant north.

Ch. 7Xuanyuan Battles Chiyou

Xuanyuan Huangdi’s army fought Chiyou’s bronze-armed warriors, and the Xuanyuan formation began to break under Chiyou’s ferocious charge. As Chiyou’s forces advanced halfway through the formation, orderly footsteps and a trembling earth signaled an approaching force.

  • Xuanyuan Huangdi first sent several hundred warriors against the Chiyou Tribe, but only one returned, so Huangdi marched north with thousands of soldiers and was forced to retreat after Chiyou defeated them.
  • Chiyou challenged Huangdi to fight again in ten days, and both tribes prepared large armies and bronze weapons for battle.
  • Zhang Yang withdrew the Northern Continent’s divine protection and guided the Chiyou Tribe in bronze-making, turning its struggle against savage beasts into a test that raised humanity’s combat power to 9,995 points.
  • Huangdi ordered his warriors to throw javelins, and Xuanyuan’s coordinated shields protected them while Chiyou’s less organized troops suffered heavy casualties.
  • Chiyou and his eighty-one powerful warriors broke through the Xuanyuan formation, driving Huangdi’s forces back as the Chiyou soldiers shouted, “God of War!”
  • As Chiyou’s army pushed halfway through the Xuanyuan formation, orderly footsteps approached and the earth began to tremble.

Ch. 8Civilization's Peak, Advancement Conditions! Star War

As the Yan Emperor Tribe joined the battle between Xuanyuan Huangdi and Chiyou, Zhang Yang learned that Blue Star had reached the peak of level one and would face a star war in thirty years. He halted the fighting, revealed Blue Star’s coming trial to humanity, and received the leaders’ pledges to follow him into battle.

  • The Yan Emperor Tribe arrived as reinforcements, but the Yan Emperor pretended to be too old and injured to hurry to Xuanyuan Huangdi’s aid.
  • Xuanyuan Huangdi led his troops into a desperate charge against Chiyou as the Yan Emperor’s forces remained behind.
  • Zhang Yang received a Starry Sky Virtual Platform notice that Blue Star had reached the level-one limit and would enter a star war in thirty years.
  • Zhang Yang stopped the battle with a storm and appeared as Father God, telling Huangdi, Chiyou, and the Yan Emperor about the coming planetary war.
  • Chiyou, Xuanyuan Huangdi, and the Yan Emperor pledged that their people would follow Father God and fight across the heavens.

Ch. 9Founding the Xia Dynasty

Humanity unified under Huangdi, who founded the Xia Dynasty and organized its realm while Zhang Yang shared useful knowledge. Ten years later, Zhang Yang granted humanity Beast Taming and beast speech, transforming daily life and military power.

  • Zhang Yang promised that humanity would receive Beast Taming and beast speech in ten years, and the Yan, Xuanyuan, and Chiyou tribes united under Huangdi.
  • The Yan Emperor and Chiyou joined the Xuanyuan Tribe, and Huangdi appointed Chiyou humanity's God of War.
  • Zhang Yang shared knowledge with Huangdi, who organized the realm into Nine Provinces and established a system of local officials.
  • Huangdi received Heaven's approval to found the Xia Dynasty, became Human King, and renamed the Blue Era the Xia Era.
  • During the next ten years, the Xia Dynasty's population, trade, bronze production, and military strength grew.
  • Zhang Yang granted humanity Beast Taming and beast speech, and people began using animals for farming, hunting, and travel.

Ch. 10Star War Begins, the Dwarf Race

As Blue Star prepared for its first star war, Zhang Yang learned that Bolwenli Star would attack and watched its dwarf army arrive through a Star Gate. The battle began after both sides spent sixty days deploying their forces.

  • Over twenty years, humanity developed iron weapons, gunpowder, and beast cavalry while fortifying and training across the nine provinces.
  • In year 30 of the Xia era, Zhang Yang received notice that Blue Star would fight Bolwenli Star, with Blue Star defending and 360 days allowed for deployment.
  • Zhang Yang gave the War Sand Tables to Huangdi and sent Xuanyuan Huangdi the Star Gate’s coordinates near Liang Province and Yong Province.
  • Bol ordered his army to assemble at the Star Gate, while Huangdi and Chiyou mobilized humanity’s forces and supplies.
  • Zhang Yang saw that Bolwenli Star’s invading army consisted of 1.7 million dwarves equipped with muskets, cannons, airships, and other machinery.
  • On the sixtieth day, the Star Gate disappeared and the medal announced that the star war had begun.

Ch. 11War Begins: Dwarves vs. Dinosaurs

Bo'er led the dwarves into their first planetary war against Zhang Yang’s Human Race, whose dinosaur forces met the invading army at a primeval forest. The battle erupted into chaos as pterosaurs and land dinosaurs charged the dwarves, and Zhang Yang held the humans back while the two sides fought.

  • Bo'er landed on Blue Star, saw the Human Race and its abundant species, and ordered Nodin to lead the dwarf army forward after a musket test confirmed the protective barrier was gone.
  • Zhang Yang warned the Yellow Emperor about the dwarves’ weapons, ordered Chiyou to ready the air force, and sent the Beast Taming units to unleash a beast tide.
  • Nodin’s artillery set fire to a primeval forest, driving pterosaurs and dinosaurs out toward the advancing dwarf army.
  • The dwarves opened fire on the pterosaurs, but the creatures attacked the army and seized or swallowed dwarves while some dwarves fought back with hammers.
  • The dwarves fired cannons, muskets, and rockets at the charging dinosaurs, while Zhang Yang ordered the humans to stay back as the beasts attacked indiscriminately.

Ch. 12The Xia Dynasty's Air Force

The Xia Dynasty's air force launched an attack on the dwarf army after the dinosaurs were largely defeated and scouts reported the enemy’s defenses. The aerial combat units suffered heavy losses to the dwarf guns, but the bombers reached position, and Ji ordered them to drop their bombs.

  • The Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, Velociraptors, and Tyrannosaurus Rex devastated the dwarf ranks before the dwarves brought down most of the dinosaur army at great cost.
  • Zhang Yang ordered Chiyou to prepare the Xia Dynasty's air force, and Pterodactyl scouts flew high to survey the battlefield and report the dwarf airships and anti-aircraft weapons.
  • Bo'er warned Nodin of the coming aerial attack, while Ji relayed the scouts’ findings to Chiyou and waited for instructions.
  • Chiyou told Ji to choose his own tactics cautiously, and Ji sent the aerial combat units ahead while the bombers climbed to high altitude.
  • Nodin ordered the dwarf guns to fire at the approaching air force, and the Steam Airships’ barrage shot down Pterodactyls as the aerial combat commander led his units toward the enemy airships.
  • Ji watched the aerial combat units fall and ordered the bomber force to drop its bombs.

Ch. 13Bombardment! Deployment! Losing Their Nerve!

Ji’s air force devastated the dwarf army with a bombing run, and Chiyou assembled the human forces to press their advantage. As the dwarves prepared for another battle, Bo’er privately accepted that defeat might mean submission, while Zhang Yang considered the dwarves’ shortage of liquor; the chapter ended with Xuanyuan Huangdi stunned by Father God’s orders.

  • Ji ordered nearly eight hundred Quetzalcoatlus to drop Copper-Cased Bombs, causing mass casualties and destroying the dwarves’ Steam Airships.
  • After the bombing, Chiyou ordered the human army to assemble and march toward the Mamba Plains for a head-on assault.
  • Bo’er assessed the dwarves’ chances of victory as only 3.14 percent but ordered his million troops to prepare for battle, resolving to surrender if they lost.
  • Zhang Yang observed the dwarves’ discontent over their shortage of liquor and recalled how Du Kang had accidentally invented it after the Xia Dynasty was founded.
  • Xuanyuan Huangdi listened to Father God’s orders and was left dumbstruck.

Ch. 14Drinking Really Gets in the Way!

Zhang Yang used Yellow Rice Wine to throw the dwarf army into chaos while the human air force engaged its Steam Airships. With the dwarves distracted and their defenses weakened, Chiyou launched the human ground assault.

  • Zhang Yang ordered Xuanyuan Huangdi to gather the Xia Dynasty’s Yellow Rice Wine and have the air force drop it over the dwarf army before Chiyou attacked.
  • Bo'er reflected on his seventy million years guiding dwarf civilization as Nodin ordered the dwarves to prepare for the incoming human air force.
  • Several dwarf Steam Airships retreated, while the remaining airships fought the human Pterodactyl riders and hundreds were shot down or crashed.
  • The human bombers dropped Yellow Rice Wine jars, and the dwarves fought over the drink until their army descended into chaos.
  • Zhang Yang ordered Chiyou to attack, and Chiyou sent the Velociraptor Cavalry Corps racing toward the dwarf army’s rear.

Ch. 15The Star War Ended! The Dwarf Race Surrendered!

Zhang Yang accepted the Dwarf Race’s surrender, destroyed its lord Bo'er, and made the dwarves a subjugated race under human rule. Xuanyuan Huangdi distributed nearly 1.4 million dwarves across Huaxia, helping human civilization begin a new stage of development.

  • Human Mounted Archers attacked the dwarf army, whose soldiers panicked and fled from the Giant Beast Legion.
  • Bo'er appeared and offered the Dwarf Race’s surrender to Zhang Yang, ending the Star War and unlocking new Star Lord functions.
  • Zhang Yang accepted the surrender but destroyed Bo'er, gaining 1,000 energy points.
  • Zhang Yang declared the dwarves a race of sinners subordinate to humans for a thousand years and told Xuanyuan Huangdi they could help advance human civilization.
  • Xuanyuan Huangdi split up nearly 1.4 million dwarves and distributed them throughout the Nine Provinces of Huaxia.

Ch. 16The cat taught the tiger, but kept a trick up its sleeve

Xuanyuan Huangdi built up human technology by learning from the dwarves, whose status improved as they taught people across the Xia Dynasty. As human progress accelerated, Elder Noah and other dwarves began hiding their knowledge, and Zhuanxu suspected their scheme after reports of stalled research reached the emperor.

  • Xuanyuan Huangdi protected innocent dwarves and established Technology Museums where they taught humans their technical knowledge.
  • As the Xia Dynasty advanced from the Iron Age toward the Steam Age, Elder Noah warned the dwarves that humans might discard them once they had learned everything.
  • Noah and other dwarves began making simple manufacturing processes seem complicated, slowing research across the dynasty.
  • Officials reported the sudden delays to Xuanyuan Huangdi, who asked Zhuanxu to assess the memorials.
  • Zhuanxu told Xuanyuan Huangdi that the dwarves were deliberately slowing progress because they feared humans would abandon them after taking their knowledge.

Ch. 17The Steam Age

Zhuanxu proposed suppressing and assimilating the dwarves, but Xuanyuan Huangdi’s investigation uncovered their conspiracy and crimes against humans. After mass arrests and punishment, human technology advanced into the Steam Age, and Zhang Yang woke from a nap surprised by the change.

  • Zhuanxu advised Xuanyuan Huangdi to suppress the dwarves, install a puppet king, control alcohol sales, and require dwarf children to attend human schools.
  • Xuanyuan Huangdi’s investigators arrested Noah and uncovered letters proving the dwarves had plotted against the Xia Dynasty and bribed human officials.
  • The Nine Provinces arrested dwarf conspirators and human traitors, and reports revealed that the dwarves had killed tens of thousands of commoners.
  • Xuanyuan Huangdi considered surrendering the throne, but his officials and Zhuanxu persuaded him to remain king, and the court sentenced guilty dwarves and their families to death or forced technological service.
  • The Xia Dynasty issued Identity Cards and an Alcohol Restriction Order, while human craftsmen developed a Steam Engine and advanced weapons and machines.
  • Ten years after the Star War, humanity entered the Steam Age, and Zhang Yang woke from a nap and wondered how long he had been asleep.

Ch. 18The throne passed on, undercurrents stirred

Zhang Yang watched Blue Star’s civilization advance into the Steam Age while choosing to preserve time for humanity’s further development. The Yellow Emperor passed the throne to Zhuanxu, but Father God’s silence during the succession ceremony stirred unrest across the Nine Provinces.

  • Zhang Yang reviewed Blue Star’s development and decided not to use time acceleration or advance the planet’s civilization level yet.
  • As the Steam Age transformed society, the aging Yellow Emperor visited Zhuanxu’s renovated palace and toured its new inventions with him.
  • The Yellow Emperor began handing his memorials to Zhuanxu and prepared to transfer the throne to his grandson.
  • At Mount Tai, the Yellow Emperor prayed to Father God to witness Zhuanxu’s succession, but Zhang Yang gave no response.
  • The Yellow Emperor returned to the palace, ordered everyone to keep the unanswered prayer secret, and announced Zhuanxu as the new ruler.
  • News of the failed ceremony spread among powerful interests, and unrest began to gather across the Nine Provinces.

Ch. 19The Yellow Emperor's Passing

After Xuanyuan Huangdi’s death, Chiyou’s long-prepared rebellion and a separate revolt in Qing Province shattered the Xia Dynasty’s unity. Zhuanxu was left ruling only four provinces as the Nine Provinces prepared for war.

  • Chiyou sent secret maps and orders to his allies, planning to seize Liang, Yong, Yang, and Xu Provinces when Xuanyuan Huangdi died.
  • Zhuanxu tried to centralize power, overhaul officials and laws, and establish welfare institutions, but provincial officials and the Yellow Emperor’s sons resisted his decrees.
  • In July of Xia Era 53, Xuanyuan Huangdi died after a final peaceful meeting with Zhang Yang, and the Xia Dynasty mourned him for three days.
  • Three days after the funeral, Chi Long declared Liang, Yong, Yang, and Xu Provinces independent, prompting Zhuanxu to collapse in anger.
  • Seven days later, Yan Hui declared Qing Province independent, leaving the Xia Dynasty in control of Jing, Yan, Yu, and Ji Provinces as the realm divided into rival kingdoms.

Ch. 20Eight kingdoms stand, a century later!

The human nation on Blue Star fractured into eight kingdoms, and conflict between them threatened to ignite war. Zhang Yang planned to give humanity two hundred more years before advancing Blue Star to a level-two civilization, then realized over 120 years had already passed while he gazed at the universe.

  • Chi Long founded the Chu Kingdom, Yan Hui declared the neutral Han Kingdom, and Ji, Qi, and Ren established the Wei, Yan, and Zhao Kingdoms.
  • Five years of uneasy peace allowed the kingdoms to grow their populations, technology, and military strength.
  • Chi Cheng founded the Qi Kingdom, while Shang killed Chi Zhou after he tried to force himself on Shang’s daughter and established the Shang Kingdom.
  • Chi Long demanded war against Shang but relented after his ministers warned that an attack could draw other kingdoms into conflict, and he called for technological advances instead.
  • Zhang Yang decided to let humanity develop for another two hundred years before advancing Blue Star to a level-two civilization, then discovered that Blue Star had reached Year 180 of the Xia Era.
