An Kai's disdainful voice came from the "Godmaster's" mouth.
The God of Sorrow froze, looking as though he had suffered a devastating blow.
He looked every bit as wilted as a frostbitten eggplant.
"Y-you..." His face flushed crimson, but the God of Sorrow could not force out another word.
There was nothing he could do. An Kai's grip was so tight that he could not breathe.
Seeing that the God of Sorrow seemed to have something to say, An Kai willed the Armored Giant to loosen its grip a little.
Instantly, the God of Sorrow cried out in shock, "Y-you hadn't... recovered, had you?!"
"I was lying to my dear son, and you believed me? Do you want to be my dear son too?"
The mocking words came from the Armored Giant in the Godmaster's form. At first, the God of Sorrow seethed with rage, but then he suddenly realized that might not be such a bad idea.
If acknowledging someone as his father could save his life, that was a very worthwhile deal!
Having worked it out, the God of Sorrow turned toward An Kai, his feelings utterly sincere. Like a son reunited with his father after years apart, he cried out mournfully:
