Within Wa Emperor Heaven, Nuwa sensed the disturbance in the Primordial World, and her expression changed in shock. The next instant, she fixed Dao Ancestor Hongjun with an icy stare. "You deliberately held me here!"
This time, Nuwa was truly furious. She no longer retained even a shred of respect for Hongjun.
Hongjun, however, remained impassive. Rather than taking offense, he said calmly, "Nuwa, Laozi is a Heaven-Ordained Saint. This is the overarching course of the Heavenly Dao, and you cannot change it. As your master, I advise you to conduct yourself wisely. Do not ruin your own future!"
With that, Dao Ancestor Hongjun swept his sleeve and departed.
He made no attempt to disguise the threat.
Nuwa's face was icy, her heart seething with rage. That old fox! His schemes run deep indeed. Even I fell into his trap. Damn him!
Clenching her teeth, Nuwa bitterly blamed herself for failing to see through Hongjun's scheme. She had fallen for his ploy to lure the tiger away from its mountain, allowing Supreme Laozi not only to become a Saint but also to establish his sect among the Human Race. This was something she could not tolerate.
After all, she had long since sworn that no one would be allowed to interfere in the affairs of the Human Race. By establishing his sect among humans and becoming a Saint, Laozi had clearly treated her vow as nothing. How could she not be furious?
