Arc 17The Three Kings Alliance

Liu Zhipeng stole C’tan Shards, drew the Necron forces to Khalifa, and helped the Imperials escape while Ghazghk raided the Crownworld. As Liu absorbed the stolen shards and entered a radiant cocoon, Szarekh and Imotekh joined forces to confront the entity being born.

  • Liu Zhipeng infiltrated Mandragora, absorbed the Deceiver shard, and devoured the C’tan Shards in Imotekh’s power chamber before escaping and leaving Trazyn trapped.
  • Liu Zhipeng joined the Calixis Battle Group as Ember, helped the Imperials destroy Necron obelisks, and gave Marcus-018 the design for Short-Jump Engines.
  • Liu Zhipeng led the fleet to Khalifa, defeated Zerath’s forces, and persuaded the Imperial commanders to hold the system as a diversion while Ghazghk raided the Necron Crownworld.

With Ghazghk and Sharpfang, he built a network of Warp-draining obelisks, leaving Angron trapped in one as Khorne watched.

  • Ghazghk’s asteroid fortresses ambushed the Necron fleet, while Sharpfang’s Gretchin defended the planet and fought Imotekh with the Big Boss’s Fist.
  • Sharpfang’s Squig Bombs badly wounded Imotekh, but Szarekh’s forces broke through the Gretchin defenses as Trazyn approached the golden cocoon.
  • Liu Zhipeng emerged as a C’tan, killed Trazyn, Imotekh, and Szarekh, and destroyed the Necron fleet, but [Primordial Quickening] overwhelmed him and he died in a supernova.

Liu Zhipeng remade the universe, then secretly guided humanity through its early trials while preparing it to face threats beyond the galaxy. He prevented Slaanesh’s rise to power and helped Angron escape enslavement, then sent another glimmer toward Olympia.

  • Khorne and Slaanesh failed to corrupt or destroy Liu Zhipeng, and the Chaos Gods joined forces against him until the Emperor shielded him and his Primordial Quickening matured.

Liu Zhipeng raised Perturabo, Lorgar, and Konrad to use their gifts in service of others, helping each transform a brutal world. After Warren died, Liu Zhipeng’s next glimmer awakened on Barbarus in the body of an old doctor.

  • Liu Zhipeng found infant Perturabo and raised him, teaching him to create and use his abilities to help others.
  • Perturabo defended Creek Valley Village from Damekos, then liberated Olympia and transformed it into a prosperous society.
  • Liu Zhipeng died after reminding Perturabo to remain a person, and his consciousness returned to the golden star.
