Alpharius’s loyalty test of Eli revealed his selflessness, and Eli entered the Terra Supreme Command Academy, where he endured hardship and began a battle-planning exercise.

• Mortarion survived the poison marsh with the old doctor’s help, then followed him to a village and saw the doctor save villagers during the Purification Rain.
• Mortarion accepted the old doctor as his teacher, trained villagers in science and warfare, and led them to defeat Lord Karag and establish the Barbarus Resistance.
• Calas Typhon joined Mortarion but secretly served Nurgle, summoned a Great Unclean One, and was killed by Mortarion after the daemon was defeated.
• Mortarion and the old doctor built the resistance into a powerful army, and Mortarion liberated Barbarus by defeating Nakare, only to find his mentor gone.
• Alpharius disguised himself as Alf and tested Eli’s loyalty, but Eli risked his life to save him and showed that his kindness had no hidden motive.

Eli rose from academy misfit to trusted Alpha Legion ally before sacrificing himself to save Omegon. After the Emperor reunited with Liu Zhipeng, Liu recruited Ghazghkull to restore the Orks into a Krork army, which began conquering Ullanor’s fleet.

• Eli led Red Team to defeat Valerius’s elite Blue Team, then graduated and took command of the 404th Infantry Regiment.
• Eli turned the 404th into a successful fighting force, joined Alpharius’s Eye of the Hydra, and later saved Omegon from a Slaugth leader at the cost of his life.
• Alpharius and Omegon honored Eli by vowing that the Alpha Legion would defend the weak, while the Human Liberation Union arrived to reunite with humanity.
• Jian Ya introduced the Emperor to Liu Zhipeng, who revealed the Tyranid threat and divided responsibilities with the Emperor: humanity’s unity to him, and Chaos and xenos alliances to Liu.
• Liu awakened Ghazghkull on Solemnace, defeated him, and persuaded him to unite the Orks against the Tyranids.
• Ghazghkull reclaimed Scrap World, killed Iron Skull, and used Krork spores and technology to rebuild the Orks into an organized, advanced army.
• After Ghazghkull’s ultimatum to the Ork tribes, Urrak Ugg mobilized Ullanor’s forces against the Krork fleet.
• Ghazghkull’s fleet broke through the Orks’ psychic shield and destroyed Urrak’s fleet, while Urrak rallied survivors as black Drop Pods landed nearby.
