After sitting by the river all afternoon, they finally went their separate ways.
Gua took Izumi home, then brought Naruto home too.
At least he now knew where Naruto lived, though he hadn't managed to go inside. Naruto seemed a little reluctant to let anyone invade his territory...
Only Gua, Itachi, and Kabuto were left on the way home.
When they passed Orochimaru's laboratory, Gua decided to take a look inside.
"How do we get in?"
Itachi pointed at the locked Alloy Gate.
"Facial recognition," Gua said.
Itachi stood in front of the door for ages, but nothing happened.
"It won't recognize me!"
"Huh?"
Gua was puzzled.
He walked up to the door.
"Beep-"
"Facial recognition successful."
The door opened.
Gua: ...
I told you it was facial recognition.
Gua ignored Itachi and walked inside on his own.
The laboratory was far more advanced than before, with unfamiliar machines flashing in every corner.
There was an oddly shaped Drum Washing Machine, a spinning Small Fan, and a sheet-metal box blinking red and beeping...
Farther in, he saw something even more baffling.
A long Copper Pipe wound around a round piece of wood, loop after loop. Behind it was a Single-Cylinder Engine with a piston pumping away...
Gua was dumbfounded. You've already built an engine?
But when he looked behind it, Gua realized something was off. Orochimaru had used a motor to drive some complicated mechanism, converting the Electric Motor's rotary motion into the reciprocating motion of a piston inside a single cylinder.
The Copper Pipe connected to a small sheet-metal box nearby. Gua had no idea what it was for.
He opened it to have a look.
A blast of cold air came out.
Gua silently closed it again.
He finally understood what it was.
This was Orochimaru's Refrigerator!
